Hey and welcome to xda-devs ,
First of all, since your device is second handed it might already have had the HSPL,
Check by turning off the device then hold the vol. down button then boot, don't release till you see tri-color screen.
And if you see HSPL then you're done with step one if not then you have to check this thread out : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5279234&postcount=1
After that pick a radio from here ( MAKE SURE IT HAS 50 not 51 !!) :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
then you're good to go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=534 and pick a ROM (MUST READ IT'S INSTRUCTIONS OTHERWISE YOUR DEVICE MIGHT NOT BOOT AGAIN ! )
(any info you may need will be in the FAQ section within the thread you're reading )
Happy flashing and Congratulations

Read my first post
Is it dangerous to update rom and radio?
If you didn't read the readme's it might be dangerous
What size storage card do I need? Do I need data cable?
No sd card needed as you'll be flashing into the internal memory, only usb sync cable needed
Is there tut how to update radio and rom?
check post 1
How do I backup my rom and radio?
you can't and you don't have to (if you insist, when booting the phone just copy the numbers down, when you want to restore just find Radio and ROM that matches those numbers
Thx

yes .. you don't have HSPL .. follow that guide to install it

I have HSPL
Now which radio I should choose? Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14** ?
My radio is 2.04.50.22_2 and it has T-mobile splash screen that I don't like. I prefer htc splash screen.

downgrade rom on htc hd2 leo?

Hello, i have an htc hd2 phone with ROM 1.72.111.4. I am flashing HSPL2 ON IT.. i need to know if i can downgrade the version after that to 1.66? Please someone advise..
Thank you
Yes you can downgrade the rom to 1.66.
Thanks for your reply, just one more question. After flashing HSPL2 on my htc hd2 phone with ROM 1.72.111.4, i downgraded the version after that to 1.66? Now, i need french language, so can i now flash the phone with ROM 1.48.406 which has french language in it?
so long as hspl is still installed, and you only use usb to flash, you can flash any hd2 rom, any, including all of them.
upgrade downgrade change language, all stock roms, all tmous roms, all cooked roms.
fill your boots!
oh, and no need to keep changing hspl versions when you flash.
run hspl2, choose 2.08.hspl and then just leave it at that.
Ok, thanks for your reply, so you mean to say that after flashing hspl once i can upgrade, downgrade or flash any rom through usb without the need to flash hspl again. By the way select 1.42 hspl while flashing hspl...is that cool?

sure , 1.42.hspl will work. ANd yes, you only need to flash hspl once. It will stay there until you either
1 - flash a stock rom from sd card
or
2 - run hspl2 and choose 1.42.0000 (or any other spl ending in 0000)

Hey I am totally not technology smart either, but once you figure out what everything means it comes really easy, its just a different language. In my Signature you will see a link that says first time tmobile flashers. I used that to walk me through step by step my first flash. If you dont have tmobile there is a link there on the first post that will take you to the other thread for first flash for the non tmobile devices. best of luck!
no way to change the 1.67 spl version

it says hspl so hspl is installed, just go ahead and flash. you probably want to get a 50 radio (50 in the version number, where yours says 51)
go to rom development, radios thread, sget something like 2.08.50 or 2.10.50
now flash any rom you like the look of.
use usb flashing. do some reading and away you go. first thread in rom development has links to all the good instructions and what not.
i am trying to download an hspl as well. i am showing spl-2.08.0000 8G XE
i downgraded like i saw you were supposed to do but i still cannot get the HSPL to download. i tried HSPL 2, and HSPL 3?
how can i downgrade my radio version on HTC HD2,

your correct stock rom, if flashed over usb, WILL downgrade rom radio and spl.
if it fails, its the wrong rom.

|Hi
You need to install HSPL2 for flashing any custom roms but remember you may lose your warranty if you install HSPL2(It is possible to go back to stock spl if you need warrenty)
1. Read everything from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=713977
You need to install HSPL2 and when you see the message You hacked it and bootloader says Cortulla HSPL
Then
Install a radio with a version comes with .50 in it. (Flashing .51 not recommend)
Then
2. download any roms from the thread and install but read the instructions from each rom you wanted to install
good luck

Plz point me in the right direction. Need to flash hd2

Hi, i'm sorry to be a pain in the ass ive done alota reading but still got questions.
I bought a HTC HD2 from some guy, it boots right into bootloader and says...
SS-B3
SPL-2.10.0000 8g XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x50
Its a T-mobile USA HTC HD2.
How can I get it back to stock? Ive downloaded RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.10.531.0_Radio_Signed_15.34.50.07U_2.08.50.08_2_Ship
and ran the program but it fails at 8% due to invalid software. Im not sure which specific software i should use..You can delete this thread if its an old repost, just plz send me in the right direction.

the model id is messed up. there are several threads with this problem, some get corrupted characters. not sure how fixable that is, cos roms will look at that and think its not a hd2.
The rom you tried should have worked, though its worth trying again with the 3.14 rom from the tmous website, but i suspect the same will happen.
try flash it from sd card, or maybe its something that requires JTAG.

So, you are searching for the latest Stock ROM? There are several ROMs for this model. Even your shipped ROM has different releases depending on the language you are using.

I´ve used Google to find this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=645113
Go to www.t-mobile.com and type in HTC HD2 upgrade in the search box on the website and it will direct you to the official T-Mobile ROM for the TMOUS. You will have to enter your IKEITH number from behind your battery to download it.

plz plz plz help me out
You do not have to flash HSPL to flash a official ROM but it is a good idea as it does offer a little extra protection from bricking your HD2. Now what version you want to flash is kind of dependent of what version of official ROM you want to flash. I see that you want to flash the 1.43.405.1 ROM, is this the most updated ROM for your HD2 as it is a little older ROM version. If it is you only need to flash HSPL 1.66 or 2.08 if you use this ROM. If it is a updated 3.14 ROM for your HD2 I suggest you use it and flash HSPL 3.03. To flash just hold your volume down button down while powering on to bring up the bootloader (multicolor screen). Next connect your HD2 to your computer via USB cable and wait until the serial in the white bar of bootloader changes to USB then right click on the RUU and select run as administrator and follow the on screen instructions of the RUU. You don't have to run as administrator but I always do just for added reliability.
Correction, yes he does need hspl, o2 phones, like most branded phones, are rom locked so only o2 stock roms work.
@OP yes, you are correct, hspl, then flash over USB.but that rom you chose is old, really old.
