[Q] adobe flash in mini - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

can we have adobe flash support on x10 mini i am wanting to have that option

You could try this
You could try this:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-install-flash-10-1-on-android-2-1-eclair-devices/
It seems to install fine on my Mini, but doesn't actually seem to get picked up by the browser (and I've tried an assortment of different browsers from the market)
Other people with X10s seem to have the same problem, yet there's one comment from an X10 owner saying it worked, but didn't say what they did (so might just be trolling)
Worth a try if you don't mind spending the time fiddling with different things!

Unfortunately it will only work on a 2.2 ROM. I guarantee he/she was trolling.

thanks i have tried it before this post and the result is same as yours and i found this app in a thread which i have attached it. it works but only shows swf files worth a try all credit goes to the original developer.

thnx...i ll try it

Own ROM, possible?

Hi there, good afternoon.
This might be already answered, but I just wanted to be sure if it's possible or not.
I've recently bought an X10 Mini Pro, and updated it to 2.1, but it still doesn't look like I want it too, so I was wondering this...
Is it possible to take the OS off from this phone, trim/clean it, and put it back to the phone as I want it without all the junk and with the apps I really want on it?
If this is possible and has been answered many times then I'm sorry to ask again, please just point me in the right direction/post and I won't bother you all no more, many thanks
Well you cant take the ROM of yet etc... but you can use root explorer to delete the stock apps that you don't want.. [Need Root]
Check these links out:

Read carefully, hope this helps.

Hi there,
Well, that will be much easier that what I had in mind
Thanks for the links, I've had a quick look at them and they are quite interesting, only 2 questions pop up in my head now...
Will I be able to update my phone with future updates if I root it?
If I root it, can I get rid of the stock launcher forever and use something like Launcher Pro or Helix instead?
Thanks for the answers
Yes and yes
i do what the peopples are telling you , with very pretty results, but i just dont delete the apps, i replace them with other apks, example semchome.apk (default se launcher) with the helix apk (saved as semchome.apk) the same with the keyboard (save keyboard pro apk as se keyboard apk), and eventualy really remove useless stuff like se play now and games demos... its pretty similar to a clean rom now, regards

Well, many thanks to you all for the info, appreciated.
I'll start immediately reading on how to root the phone, I hope is not too complicated to do
Or you can just change your phone to a Spanish generic build (you probably have a Vodafone one), update via SEUS and you should have a clean phone.
The one advantage of this is that if there are future updates, and you use SEUS to get up to date you will not have the junk installed on your phone.
Regards.
Hi there,
How do I know what build do I have? I bought this phone new from eBay, and it was supposed to be locked to T-Mobile, although it came unlocked and without anything from T-Mobile in it, or nothing I can see anyway
I don't see any application apart from the basic Sony ones, and a couple of games, but nothing that tells me this phone is from T-Mobile... it'd be great if I could know somehow the build it's in it, so I can check if I could get a cleaner one
Thanks.

[Q] Andoid 2.2 or 2.3 or 2.3.5? and why are there so many roms?

I know, there are some Questions like this but there are not many answers...
I have an x10 mini pro nad never used a custom rom before.
No i see that here are a lot of different roms with different andoid versions and a lot of them didn't work very well (at least there are some users that talk about different bugs)
so i asked myself:
should i use a custom rom, and if, wich should i choose.
i never use my phone to take photos but i listen to a lot of music and surf trough the web. sometimes i think, that my utms thing could work better (maybe with a customrom) and that my battery could work a bit longer.
It woult be great if the laucher would work a bit fast (i use golauncher)
Also i use a lot of this googlestuff (mail, calander, maps...) and the gps thing and i want to use this stuff also with a custom rom.
so... what are the differences in all these roms? wich should i choose and which should i forgot? or are you say "no way noob, go away and let your phone like it is"
sorry but english isn't my local language
Hey if you want a nice and stable rom try using cyanocomb
Its fast it looks cool and the battery lasts longer than any other rom
Or if you want a gingerbread rom try ginger dx i heard its fast and stable and since it has cyanogenmod 7 you will have access to over 200 different themes
Sent from my G2 via XDA running MexDroidMod PreGhostChilli
wasn't able to add my googleaccount with CyaNoComb v1.4... :/
so i'll restore to backup point and try another one i guess...

Natwest App

I'm currently using the latest MiniCM7 on my X10 mini.
The one app I'm really missing is the official Natwest App. It doesn't appear in the market on my phone and if I look it up on the android market on my computer then I am told it is incompatible. I'm just curious as to whether people on other ROMS are able to download it? Maybe I could modify something to make it compatible.
Apparently a lot of people have had similar problems, trying to run a UK banking app on anything other than a stock ROM.
I had a quick Google hunt about this and quite a few people suggest using the app, Bank Control, which apparently works with Natwest as well as some other banks. Some have talked about editing the phone's build.prop as well.
Not much help, I know, but hopefully this may be useful to you.
I've been reluctant to try Bank Control as its not officially supported by Natwest. I've finally given it a go and now can't register with it for some reason.
I'm interested in modifying the build.prop. People seem to have had success on other phones by editing the ro.build.fingerprint. Could somebody post that line from a stock X10 mini so I could give it a go? Or could I use the ro.build.fingerprint from a different phone without it affecting anything?
Well, I could..but it might be easier if I just gave you the whole thing and you can pick the bits you need..
I've had to zip it because .prop files can't be attached here.
Worked like an absolute charm, thanks a lot!
In case anyone searches for this I changed the ro.build.fingerprint line to
Code:
ro.build.fingerprint=SEMC/U20i_1238-7173/U20i/delta:2.1-update1/2.1.1.A.0.6/-X_d:user/release-keys
Didn't have to change anything else.
No problem, I'm glad it worked out.

[DISCUSS]{x10mini/pro_ICS and Flash player}?

Hello,
well i am x10mini user, i would like to have your opinion about the following subject any view/opinion its applicable
I was on Google like 2 days so far and looking how possible it can be to get ics on our loved device... after some search and some reading i noticed that dev's wont be able to complete roms without libs from Qualcomm for arm6 and (if they do, so far we are on hold if i get it right)
however if somehow we get those libs or find any other solution there is another question is it able to get flash player on that rom? i try to add it on ics beta version but it seems that i get no cache to load any video or so...
Probably our mini stay on gingerbread??
What's your view !
All the video issues are to doo with the lack of libs from qualcomm. So it would probably fix them if we get them. Sign the groubal if you haven't already

All you have to do is go to the Firefox mobile site and when you SEARCH for thebl keyword FLASH the first thing that comes up is a page stating that Firefox for tablets DOES NOT support Flash, although the beta version does but just for phones. Amazing the info I found with a 30 second search and read

i looked and only found different versions to download, handy if u know where to look. in my job i do things for people who dont know where to look; and its sometimes not as straightforward as the first thing you see in the first 30 sec of looking. so i take it theres no workarounds and no magic touchpad exceptions ... thanks for the info and help tho.

Try ICS Browser+. I'm sure the Mozilla bunch will come up with a fix eventually.
Don't mind the previous poster, he gets off on putting people down. Ask away here, that's what the general and q/a sections are for.
firefox nightly already has support for flash
also some of the aurora builds back in march had it too {if i remember correctly they introduced the flash fix)
