Is MW600 or HBH-IS800 any good?
I want to use it for phone and music.
Have any one try then?
Yeah. The MW600 was in the box for my X10. It rocks!
I have the IS800, great headset, very small, sounds nice. HOWEVER batterylife sucks, three hours max. If I had to buy again I'd buy the MW600. I actually think I'll buy the MW600 anyway when a nice deal comes by.
Thanks for the reply.
I will look for the MW600

Yeah. I heard something about that, the X10 only comes with the MW600 in Scandinavia. Could be wrong though, but I know all X10's in Sweden comes with it!
live in norway and got one too
In Denmark on 3 it come with out the MW600 but with 16G SD card
I owned X10 from 3UK and also have MW600, But I having problem controlling music with my mw600, it just wont pause/start, forward/backward.
Does anyone know it that correct or not? My mw600 work perfectly with my Vivaz.
**My X10 is 3UK Branded is that the cause of it?
Thanks
I got mine on UK Voda ... my headfones SUCKED ((
not even 'bud' style ... just some nasty old 1990's style
not even 'Fontopia'!! :-o lol
Have an MW-600 on order. Had a DBH-200(?) a few years back and it was excellent ... until it went for a trip on the cottons cycle and died.
I personally love the retro headphones supplied with the X10 in the UK - the sound quality is stunningly good and (for me) they are way more comfortable than the noise cancelling ones.
The best sound I've had out of the X10 has come from my beloved Sennheiser Pro cans I've had from my brief time at a world-leading sound company (begins with D). A high quality MP3 in delivered very satisfying sound out, lots of bass but without overpowering the mid-range.
Great stuff from SE on this...

Well, I've noticed that I can change songs and play/pause in Spotify but not in Mediascape. So they must've missed that part. lol
MW600
I've been using the MW600 since december last year, it works nicely with virtually all SE handsets, having tested it with numerous X10 handsets it seems quite stable, especially when using it with Spotify.
to the guys who are having trouble with this, I would like to find out if there are any specific circumstances where you are finding it won't control your music. i.e are you using different music players etc?

Rogers (in Canada) is offering it as a free mail-out promo to all X10 buyers who sign a contract before April 30th. I have yet to mail out my claim form (better get on that), but it's a pretty good deal seeing as how it comes with a 16GB MicroSD card in the box as well.
Yeah I got the MW600 in the box with my preorder, its great. It connects to my westone um1's and the sound quality and battery life is very good.
Problem Resolved by Debranding the X10
I think 3UK fw disable A2DP in Mediascape only with spotify. It now working perfectly

What SW do you have?
short cord, long cord?
i cant tell by the pics that are on some sites, but are the SE MW600's have the cord where the right one is long, and the left is short?
they got it at mobilecityonline.com for 49.95. just placed my order now.
thanks.
got my
got my mw600s. sound is loud and doesnt not get distorted. very easy to pair.
just dont like that short cord, long cord on the headphones and if there was a way to have 3-5 preset fm stations, but those arent deal breakers for me.
I have HBH-DS980, then saw the MW600 that might look good with my X10. After comparing them, the HBH-DS980 sounds better. The MW600 kinda missing the bass that the HBH-DS980 has. But MW600 has the advantage of swapping headphones + FM radio.
Found this on DX. Who would actually buy this ****e.

Yup, it would have to be the genuine up and coming x10 Pro:
All reputable companies, esp. Sony release their latest products on Deal Extreme, rather than through their existing sales channels
In a clever marketing move, Sony have renamed the x10 Pro to "Portable Media Player" to catch the iPhone wave from the start of the decade
Phones with TV ariels are so hip right now
Deal Extreme never sells copies of anything
Sony have taken a revolutionary step to use cheap plastic in the design of the x10 Pro, moving away from the slick appearance of the regular x10, thus creating a greater product differentiation, appreciated by the x10 Pro buyers
The super advances in technology over the past 6 months have enabled Sony to sell the x10 Pro at around 10% of the price of the regular x10
Only genuine phones come out with dual SIM as standard
Having scrapped the Sony UI, the x10 Pro only needs a regular VGA resolution of 640*480
Looks like the X10 and the Moto Droid had one seriously disfigured child.
Haha, LOL. The chinese never give up on making 'fake' tech.
But eventually, I think they'll get really good at making accurate copies of just about everything.
Wow there is a copy of all the phones on that site.
Oh yeah that's the X10 infinite, out has 5.0 firmware, it had superscape! The best app that watches your friends through every camera near them, why wait for a tweet, when you can creep? ™ of sony industry.

In fact, before buying my X10, I was thinking about getting some fake smartphone or PDA with wifi, because they're cheap. Friend of mine got some iPhone clone (it says Phone on the back cover lol) and for it's price, it's working pretty great! But I got some extra money, found a site where I could get X10 cheaper than everywhere else (in Lithuania) and now I'm really happy X10 user
I kinda want one of those... it'd be kinda funny to use, what are they, like $50?
Lol
The only problem with these clones is, they don't last very long, sometimes one or two months only. You'll be very lucky, if it last a year...
hmm i bet the incall volume is much louder and the standby time is better too
price is 400RMB (negotiable with the seller at the store). those ppl who manufacture these cloned phone got those material smuggled out from the factory like foxconn..... and make it from the small factory.....
You can say the quality is the same as the real one...but just you couldnt believe that they "mix and match" it...
i got a iphone clone for 180 rmb (negotiable from 480 rmb), dual sim. I called it cOS because it has the same iphone interface, funcationality....and google apps. and guess what...it picked up both T-mobile USA and AT&T 3G network!!!!
unbelievable, huh?!
This one time at bandcamp a guy said it has multitouch, its only disabled..
Easy question:
can anyone confirm me, that the Logitech MetroFi 170vi (http://www.logitech.com/de-de/speakers-audio/earphones/devices/5651) Headset is compatible to the Xperia X10? Didn't find anything on the internet except for some online-shop compability lists, but I don't really trust them..
No, they are not compatible with the x10...i had bought them too from a webshop and its not working, only compatible with iphone and blackberry says the info on the box..
what a pity thanks, though.
Recently the x10 bootloader was cracked and now the focus is on our mini devices. Has anyone had some luck in offloading the driver or something? Fake DT owns, but is just not enough for rpg games. I hope owain or someone manages to get DT on this and MT on the Pro.
...why do i think its the other way around? That the mini (not pro) had mt capable screen...oh well...real dt would be just fine...
Read somewhere that SE Thailand has started with 2.3.3 in X10. Couldn't get it confirmed but came across smthing interesting
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/pro...ax10?cc=th&lc=th#view=features_specifications
Of course the page is in Thai but translate it and you will see that it says Xperia X10 has Radio FM under entertainment specs.
Does it mean the phone has a built in FM receiver or is it an online radio app??
A similar thread exists (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683083) but none could answer the question.
no built in receiver, just over data via app
Sent from my X10 using XDA Premium App
Over data with app isn't remotely close to FM radio.
To answer your question, the FM Radio Receiver is referring to the MW600 headset, which was bundled with X10s in Europe and Asia I believe. The headset has a built in FM radio and can work alongside the X10, any number of android phones or even just by itself I believe.

Yes sir, I am aware of the MW600. I bought my phone in The Netherlands, so didn't get the headset with it. But Thailand SE site mentions Radio FM and they are not getting MW600 either. I guess the X10 hardware has no built in FM but ohh well, we keep dancing to the tunes of Xperia anyway
The Rachael's Big Mystery
[conspiration mode ON]
I have a theory:
X10 is built with ET technology.
This is the reason why nobody in this world knows the real X10 hardware.
Some people said that it can run very well under Froyo, even Gingerbread. The manufacturer engineers said no.
Some people say that it has multitouch. The manufacturer said it has only single touch due to hardware limitations.
We have a 16M colors capable screen, like the other mobiles. The manufacturer let us use only 65K. At first they said it was Donut fault, but even with Eclair+ we can see only 65K.
Some say that the frontal light sensor is truly a cheap frontal VGA cam (that would be hiddenly working with the built in facial recognition software!). "No no no!", says the manufacturer.
Now this strange FM radio rumor...
Who knows which other mysteries our Rachael hides from us?

Tht is quite an insight my friend. We shall check properly and we could find "Not Made in China" inscribed on our X10 which proves ET technology. You wont be surprised I guess.

We will hardly ever know everything that is inside x10, there is no complete hardware specs.
Someday we may find out that there is an infrared on it and we can use it to control the TV, rsrsrs.
We may find out that we can use to open garage doors. also kkk.
I recall a guy reporting that his X10 was ran over by a truck and still survived. Screen partly craked but touch was still good and everything worked
BTW, Please dont try this at home (or outside)
No FM radio in X10
