Haz anyone tried using the battery test? I'm doing it now. It says it'll take several hrs for the test and it'll switch your phone to airplane mode and you can't use it while doing tests.

Hello there
well I'm having this issue for quite a while now....ok I'm gonna give a lot of details here:
when I acivate mobile data and start transfering data the cellphone, even if its State Of Charge is over 50%, shuts down. When I was on stock rom 2.1 it just shut down, black screen, nothing.when I'm using custom roms,eg minicm7, 9 and 10 a message appears that the phone is shutting down and so it does.well,in this case it "soft" shuts down..but nevertheless it shuts down.when I turn the phone on again soc is very low, below 20% and if I reboot it again it gows up again to a random percentage.
what I only change when I install a rom is to enable the use of only 2G network and disable data and when I want to use the internet I untick it and then enable data so that I use 3G speed.nothing else is changed from system network.
I've tried wiping batt stats too but in vain.
I searched the web and I found others had similar problems too.any ideas anyone?
I have problem like u too bro, on CM10.

actually I think I know whats wrong so I'm gonna post it for others to see it:
I use the battery in 2G mode and so it get "used" to it.and when I instantly switch to 3G mode, enable data traffic and begin downloading the battery kinda "hangs" because of the big big difference in its consumption.so,my suggestion is to test it:
*with gsm/hspa mode always on,and enable data only when I need it
*with gsm/hspa mode always on,and data always enabled
I'll check what happens in system stability&battery consumption rate and I'll post again
ok I have managed to fix it and I'll post my method.
first of all I performed the wipe battery stats method:
with phone turned on charge completely(until 100%, do not interrupt the charging)
remove charger and reboot into recovery and then wipe battery statistics
let the phone battery completely drain.make normal phone usage, disable mobile data, don't stream video or don't use wifi at all.Do NOT charge, just use the phone until it shuts down
when the phone shuts down, turn it on again and then charge it immediately again up to 100%.once again do not interrupt the charging
next -unfortunately- you need to take out the battery. See this
Code:
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Sony-Ericsson-Xperia-X10-Mini-E10i-Teardown/3124/1
use caution and do not apply force on anything
you do not need to completely tear down the whole phone, just remove the battery pins.when you do that wait a couple of seconds and then plug in again.that's it reassemble the phone and you should be done.battery stats will be completely reset.
I had my DNA faced down before I fell asleep, and when I woke up just now, the phone was on airplane mode. I checked the battery usage chart and found out the phone went into airplane mode after 30 minutes of being idle. I had to manually turn off the airplane mode.
I never used HTC products before so I do not know if this is a feature of the Sense...but surely I don't want it as I receive international calls often. However, I could not find any options for turning this off.
Does anyone know if the scheduled airplane mode was automatically activated because I put the phone faced down? The other nights previously had no such thing done on my phone

That is an anomaly my friend. I've never seen this happen on any HTC phone I've owned.

The fact that network connection was in tact, it seems like wifi auto sleep but I can't be sure.
But as for my phone, it was on airplane mode automatically, so I will test my phone under the same conditions tonight to confirm my speculation
If the DNA does have a scheduled/sensor auto airplane mode feature or perhaps a deep idle, I am not sure of why HTC did not include an option to turn that off in the settings...

I would hope its not an auto-off on wifi because I have it set to always be on even with screen off. Also, if it turns off, it sets LTE to active and thats an issue.
It's HTC SmartSync Power Save http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1708492. Unfornately this app doesn't work JB Sense... anyone with smali coding skills can try to code it for JB.
WiFi and 3G/LTE will disconnect from 12-7am to save battery life when screen off its a built in feature by HTC however it shoukdnt go into airplane mode

I tested my phone under the same conditions, and it did go into airplane mode exaclty after 30 minutes of facing down. So I guess that Smartsync is back on the DNA?...I found several scripts relating to powersaving in sys, so maybe disabling some of them will remove the auto airplane mode or whatever it does...

Smartsync isn't putting it in airplane mode.
I put my phone upside down smartsync hours and left it for hours. I can confirm loss of WiFi but no network signal.
I root my SGS2, currently using SlimRom.
Problem 1:
Everytime my battery reaches around 50% and when I restart my phone, the battery drops to around 20%. I tried using the BatteryCalibration app but it doesn't seemed to calibrate correctly.
Problem 2:
Sometimes my phone just disconnect from my local phone service network.
I have tried switching off the SIM card lock and toggling the airplane mode but it just doesn't search for any network. In the Settings menu, I do a manual network search but an error was display.
Is it because of the ROM or kernel?

1 word for you expirement
change the kernel and see how it does if the same results try another Rom with a different kernel it's the only way to know for sure
Which kernels would you recommend?
I am using SGS2 I9100
I am using hyperdrive ROM and would like to know if there is any way to disable the confirmation prompt when enabling flight mode. I am trying to use phone schedule to save some more battery life when I don't have phone signal for a period of time.
Thanks.
As someone who is in NYC and uses airplane mode whenever I go on the train, the airplane mode confirmation drives me crazy.
Dang! I haven't had a need for it yet (just 2 weeks in) but just tried it and it is pretty irritating. Hopefully someone can develop a mod to banish it forever.
Hi guys,
I can't seem to find anywhere in this device to force cellular off. I don't want to enable aeroplane mode because I use wifi and GPS.
Also, is there a way to force the device to power down when it's at, say, 8% power? It seems like it powers down when it's totally drained, which causes the device to stop tracking time when it powers back up. I imagine if it could force power down earlier, it would still keep time when I get around to recharging it...
You can enable Airplane mode THEN activate Wifi and GPS ... it's what I'm doing on my truesmart to save battery

Any way to get the device to shut down based on battery %?
It doesn't matter how much battery is remaining when you turn the watch off. It doesn't keep track of the time when its off unless you have it automatically checking the mobile network for the time. Try it. Turn your watch off before the battery dies, wait 10 minutes, then turn it back on. The time will be the same as when you turned it off. Seems stupid but hopefully it will get fixed in a future update.
Use tasker to do it

Here's a free app that should do it. I tried it on my phone and it worked great.
