Hello freinds,
I have a X10i factory unlocked pay as you go handset.I upgraded it to 2.1 yesterday but since then I'm unable to access market or any other app in the menu which requires a initial login.
When I try to open these through browser it works fine.
I tried to uninstall market from Settings>Application>Manage application but I cant see anything.Is it due to not taking apps backup while upgrade or anything else going wrong?
And you made sure you set up your google account alright at the first setup?

Yes it was working fine in 1.6,problem occured after i upgraded to 2.1
BUMP.
I went from 1.6 to 2.1 global. DL'd a few apps about 2 hours ago.
Now facebook and market both won't work.
Unresolved host facebook.com:80 ???

Just went to look for an app and my Market seems to have stopped working. The icon has changed and when I try to open it I get an error saying "The linked program is no longer installed on your phone".
I was using the 2.2 Market (from Modaco) and have just tried to install it again but upon trying I get an error saying "Application Not Installed".
The only thing I've done to the phone since last night when it was woking properly was try the BFS version of Flykernal-11c (I was running the non BFS version).
I also use AppBrain but I can't see how that would have broken it.
Maybe Google have somehow stopped 2.2 Market from running on run on 2.1 ROMs?
Anyway, does anyone how can I get the old Market back without restoring from a Nandroid back-up or flashing the ROM again? Is there a 2.1 Market apk available?

i 'm running on latest market no problem so far.. & about installing thing just download market from somewhere & use adb/push it .,

Yeah, I'll see if I can find an earlier version somewhere.
I can figure out most problems myself but I must admit, this one has me stumped!
Not having much luck so I'm restoring from Nandroid.
Hopefully there's only a few things I'll have to reinstall... but AppBrain will help there
I'll report back about the Market issue.
All working now. Only have 4 apps to re-install and 3 phone numbers to change. No biggie, but pity there wasn't an easier way to fix it.
Hi my problem is that i cant access the android market nor any other google app....... I can login to youtube but when i log to youtube the market just keep on crashing... I used Axura and Bionix and non of them work.... I need market so i can unlock my vibrant! Please help me i had already search around the forum and google it...
Logging into youtube is the only fix I know of...
Is it force closing or what exactly do you mean by "crashing" ?
I tried that and it got logged in but in any custom rom i use by doing this..... The market just force close and i cant download anything from the market.
UPDATE:
I restore to stock eclair 2.1 and market works.... Could it be something on my network, phone or in 2.2.... i really want a 2.2 rom.

In 2.1 i tried unlock my vibrant with samsung galaxy s unlock and it didnt work.... saying no code is found... :/ What should i do i need to unlock my phone.

To fix the market after flashing any ROM you go to settings>application > market> and clear the cache.
That will do it.

I'm having the same problem. I have a Samsung Captivate and just installed Serendipity 6.4. I wiped the market data on the apps list but still cannot access anything with a google login. It keeps saying my username or password is incorrect, which is incorrect. The same username and password gives me access to all my accounts online, so why not my phone???

Also i' faced this problem....

I tried to update the Facebook for Android app in the market to the newest version just now, but after it downloaded it wouldn't install, saying something about the package not being signed correctly (or something along those lines). So I decided to try to uninstall my current Facebook first and then install the new one thinking that would work. I backed up Facebook using Titanium Backup and uninstalled it. Then I went to the market and downloaded it again. However, it wouldn't install once again (saying "Incompatible update" this time). So I think, OK whatever, I'll just restore my old Facebook, which worked fine. But when I try to restore it using Titanium Backup, that won't work either! It just says "Application not installed." So what do I do? This is the first time that Titanium Backup wouldn't restore something for me. Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks in advance.
I'm rooted, running CM7 Stable, MattedBlues theme, and faux123 CFS kernel.

Weirdest thing ever. I rebooted my phone and my old facebook was back! No Titanium Backup or anything, it was just there. Except the icon didn't have the MattedBlues theme like it did before (which is odd). Not gonna try updating again obviously, since it works now.
Thanks for the apk though, that's what I would have tried if it didn't magically appear.

not working for me ,
Even with the old version of FB, it stops all the fc's but still wont sync the contacts

Hmmm, I haven't had problems syncing contacts. I have noticed that you need to go back in and select it after the intial setup for the settings to 'stick' though.
Also the offical FB app is horrible. I wish the Bloo developer was still developing.
New FB updated is out! All bug fixes should be fixed now!

I am unable to login into talk. Till one day back it was working and I was on voice call on talk, but it suddenly stopped working.
I mean it logins but after that it doens't show my friend list and right circle on top will keep on going endlessly. I left it over night but it didnt show my friend list .
My phone is rooted. and I have installed talk 1.3, which supports video calling
I tried to restore but original talk also didn't work.
I tried switching network from 3g/2g but it also didnt work.
I tried restoring from titanium backup but when i restore it says application not installed.
I am able to login into IM provided by samsung.But I want to login into gtalk
I have searched all forums but couldn't find appropriate answer for my query.
Please help

Start GTALK, Keep it open .. Go To the Apps in settings and Force kill the GTALK.. Clear data and Then Turn it on again .. It Should work ...
By the way Which ROM ?

And using stock rom....

yes,
i mean when i restored my talk (from talk1.3 installed)
it automatically removed my google account so i added again.
again, after isntallation it again removed so i again added .
did this some 3-4 times ...everytime i added my account again but no luck..

Hmm, In this case ...
BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP all other Apps other than GTALK, keep it safe.
Do following Steps
1) Reboot in to CWM Recovery
2) Do full Wipe of Data and Cache
3) Go to Advanced and Wipe Dalvik Cache
4) Reboot and Then try and Login Again ....
Hope this works ... If worked then
5) Install all missing Apps.
You are ready to go
if not I think Full Flash again from ODIN is the last option

Kept on restoring some system applications till I figured out which application is causing problem ..
Google framework services is the culprit took couple of hours to find it but now it works

And now i have something to study again about this mismatch
i cant update or download apps on google play it just loads forever and connection timed out...i tried to clear data and cache and still nothing..

Did ya sychronise ya account all the time from settings? Probably that stopped ya from using googleplay or maybe you try recheck your internet server or modems if can. Hope helps.

I think its better to start from scratch as you are getting some problems.
Start from flashing stock rom via flashtool and then flash any custom rom

-Did you try to download applications from your pc, to check if without doing manually from mobile, tha applications, gets downloaded?
-Try to set another gmail account to check if works
-When i installed a new ICS rom sometimes (only each time that i open google play) gets me a timed out connection, but then i press try again or refresh and worked
-Try to install gapps again from xrecovery

Yeah... I just flashed to my stock rom and google talk authentication failed...what do i do now?
I'm sorry to say this but maybe your gmail account is buggered or you have done something wrong somewhere

Flashtool versions? Rom version, official Rom or unofficial
Rooting / trying without root
Stock with seus
Remove sdcard
Boot up without rooting
Sign into google services
Download alogcat from market
Sign into talk
If it fails, post alogcat log here
Maybe we can determine what's broken
Can you access playstore on your pc?
Also
Don't use WiFi hotspot for market as most of them block certain services
Make sure you have android internet Bolt-on and not blackberry
Try to hard reset your modem / router to factory settings (maybe DNS issue)

Never mind guys... I can now access my play store and i dont know what i did... something appeared when im setting up another gmail account and when its done i just access play store and something appeared something like accepting terms and something (cant remember) and it just goes to installled apps and now i can update and download stuff... Thanks for ur suggestions guys..
