Has anyone had any luck/experience getting a wired tether going on their x10mini/pro??
Easy Tether works just fine
Is there anything that would do it for free?

I've got a X10i, with Nordic 2.1. I need to find a solution to tether to new Gen8 Archos unit with 2.1, but the problem with Barnacle is that Archos is not recognizing ad-hoc networks... Bummer...
Tried also Wireless Tether but as X10 kernel does not have Netfilter, it does not work... Tried a few different BT tether apps also, but with no luck...
Any ideas what app to use to get BT tethering to actually work?
Or is there an app that could see the ad-hoc's when Archos does not?

I am not aware of anything. It would be very impractical for any tethering app to emulate a full router. If you have bluetooth and your device can use a proxy there may be an app that will let you connect but I really doubt it.
Any one know of a way to do this with the TP running CM7?
Work doesn't have wifi but my pc does have bluetooth.
So I would like to use my works internet on the TP connected using bluetooth (if possible of course)
I would like to us my TP at work if possible.
I would like an app if possible but if there are only commands then what ever works is fine.
So, I'm running on the latest nightly of cm7 on my vibrant with a glitch kernel. What I want to do is share my wired connection with my laptop, phone, and ps3 without having a wireless router. The thought is to use reverse USB tethering to put the connection to my phone then use the wifi hotspot ability to share the connection with my ps3. I know the ps3 won't recognize Adhoc being produced by the computer, also it's impossible to receive wifi and broadcast it at the same time. So is it possible to do what I propose?
Hi,
On my HTC Desire running Cyanogenmod I used to be able to use the wireless tether app for root user's
http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/
I used to tether my ASUS Transformer to it using Bluetooth tethering as it was much easier on the battery.
Now I know that you need a compatible kernel for Bluetooth tethering to work.
My question is, has anyone come across a Galaxy S2 kernel that supports Bluetooth tethering?
Many thanks.
I would like to know also!
I haven't tested it myself, requires root:

When ever I connect my new iPad to my cell via Bluetooth it launches
Hotspot on my cell. Is it possible to remove hotspot and launch wireless tether when it's connected via Bluetooth on a custom rom? Any thoughts?
Thanks
What ROM and what gen of iPad? Also, why BT tether when wifi or ad hoc is more efficient?

Ipad (Gen3Wifi-only) and BAMF Rezound ICS v1.1 Official Rom, I wanted to be able to use the gps from my cell on my Ipadl. The only way to use it is through Bluetooth. Thanks for your reply.
