yes, I also think that it is amazing, but now the team just develop N1, DESIRE and MS, it is also amazing if some one can port it to P500

I searched a bit about that... it can't be done because the MIUI is not open source... and when the the source is not available... there is no chance to make it work... somebody correct me if i'm wrong

As you can see im my previous screenshot, they said that there's a change to port it to our OO. Maybe if you gentlemen go and ask for it on their chat, we can have it sooner. We are a great community, let's spread the word and let it happen!

I've talked with a nice guy on MIUI official chat, and he said me that we have to do the same thing developers did with the porting of the CM7. Since MIUI is not for our OO we have to "take" the version of the MIUI taken from a cell with similar specs, and then cook our ROM. So we need some cool guy that will do it for us. Sure we can be all betatester, but we need developers. Any suggestions?

seems like no devs are interested in porting MIUI for lgp500 ,theres a thread running in porting MIUI for MDPI devices ,so devs just look at this thread and lett know whether its a worth trying ??

It's difficult but not impossible. I've managed to make Sense boot on P500 with the precompiled ROM,not w/ sources.

it is old work now no one works on MIUI
Well i'm back... finally finished my exams and got some time for myself.
But i have a bit of bad news. I've been studying android and how it's build and how it works and i'm afraid this might be an impossible port to make for now. I've looked into the Galaxy 3 port and it's not an actual port. It's just the framework. So it is possible to port apps from the rom but they might not work fully because of incompatible libs.
Now about the libs, they are compiled specifically for a type of processor (in miui case armv7) which have some instructions built in. While armv7 may run armv6 libs it's not possible the other way around. So even if we got the phone to boot, and got the launcher and a few miui apps running it wouldn't be miui.
I see that SWEATTAIMI is still working to complete the port of the framework and i wish him the best of luck but i will have to step down since i am working on other android projects that are more likely to come to an end than this.

Well,older phones than our P500 have MIUI-Like ROM's and Sense ports..but whatever, we're never gonna see a beautiful UI on this phone.

Thats because both sense and miui are close sourced,so if we encounter a bug after porting the rom,it is not possible to fix it.
