My front camera suddenly disappeared for unknown reasons, the original with the normal use.
How to recover?
Hard start no effect,Replace ROM has no effect.
Forgive my English.

Faulty flex cable
Most probably a faulty flex cable...
I got this problem recently too, after replace the flex cable....
Everything good as new
朋友, 很可能是您的"flex cable" (niki 的银幕和键盘中间的电线) 出了问题...
在 ebay 或 taobao 找找看把...
"flex cable" 才不到 USD$50 (还包运载费)
It's a very familar problem, sometimes it will recover itself. BUT usually it's a hardware problem.
我也遇到过此问题,中途机器自己恢复好了。但是后来又出现类似问题。很可能是线接触不良,某些使用台湾版radio可修复此问题的传言,经测试对我的机器无效。应该和radio无关。
USD$ 50 is not a small number...
thank you.

Touch Dual digitizer
Hi Saliml2
Not convinced it is a software issue. My digitizer on T-Mobile Touch Plus did the same thing. It stated behaving erratically and then stopped responding altogether. I replaced the digitizer (via eBay) and it work for a few days and then stopped again.
I have read around the internet and have tried several ROM updates etc (currently running a WM 6.5.5 found in other area of this forum) but this has not solved the problem.
It seem to be an alignment issue - i.e. screen alignment is outside the screen area, but there seems to be no way of getting it back. Could be a fault on the phone mainboard (?) but there doesn't seem to be any info around apart from sending it to HTC for repair (not viable as the phone value negates this)
My phone is still not working, I might try opening it up again and reseating the digitizer cable but have done this twice already.
Have you try change the flex cable?
I had one to, with the same problem, and after changing the flex everything was ok...
Good luck!
Hi Amokh Just to clarify, what is the flex cable? The digitizer has a cable already attached to it that plugs in to a zif connector on the mainboard - I assume that this controls the data flow for the digitizer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi guys, first sorry to my english, i am from czech.
I have a problem with phone. when i power off, phone still charging ( charging logo still reebot). i change USB port a problem not solved. i using stock 4.1.2 rom. please help me
Either you bought the wrong USB board when you replaced it (there are 3 revisions, use a revision different to the one already in the phone, and you don't fix the problem), or there's something else wrong hardware-wise, more than likely a component or two on the motherboard.
It might also be as simple as the battery, try another if you haven't already.

thanks, ok i find a right revision. I buy new battery, when i buy a usb flex. And where a show a riht revision? on motherboard?
It's printed on the board the USB port is attached to. Search for similar threads, it's been discussed a lot on here this year, there are threads which have pics & all the details you need.
Hi all,
Recently, I bought a Sony Xperia Tablet Z of which the previous owner had removed the whole screen. Tablet was working, then he dropped it, causing the screen to be broken (LCD was blacked out, tablet and digitizer/touch still working). He removed the screen assembly as a whole, had the intention to replace it but he just sold the rest of the tablet.
So I obtained an LCD/digitizer assembly form AliExpress, but after installing the screen and switching on the tablet, I got the same problem: Touch is working fine, tablet switches on nicely, I get some kind of 'blind-modus?' that responds to touch with sounds, it tells me I'm swapping through menus, but the LCD itself does not give any signal. Linking it to PC works fine too. Linking it to a TV requires an MHL cable, which I don't have...
My question is:
Does anyone know if this is a well-known problem after dropping an Xperia Tablet? I'm more or less sure it's not the LCD of the replacement screen that causes the problem (given the background), so the problem might be in the LCD flex cable, or worse, the logic board. But how to find the faulty component?
For the flex cable: I've tried to measure (multimeter) the resistance of the wires between each tiny pin of both the connectors of the ribbon, but it's not easy. Some pins on one connector are linked to multiple other pins of the other. Is there an easier way to check this, anyone any experience with this?
If it's the logic board, is there any way to make sure which component is broken, and is this fixable?
If it might help: I have a set of pictures of the logic board / flex / LCD.
Otherwise, I might just try and stop by a tablet/phone fix shop, ask kindly if I could quickly check one of their screens/cables to verify which parts are working/broken.
Thanks in advance!! Kind regards
Edit: I just noticed there is a specific forum for Xperia Z (one), this thread belongs there, sorry! Could this thread be moved there?
Hello, I bought a motherboard on Aliexpress of a i9305 phone. The thing is it was supposed to be brand new, but Ias getting very bad data connection and the network cut off during calls etc.
So I decide to open my phone back and have a look, and when disconnecting the wifi antenna the socket got scratched off the board. I got refunded but it doesn't repair my phone. So i'm trying to figure it out. Here is a picture of what it looks like now
And here is a picture of what it should look like (it is a motherboard from a friend, to see how it should be in reality)
Where could I solder the antenna ? Is there any solution ? Thank yoou very much !!
(I'm sorry I can't ^post any picture as I have less than 10 posts on the site... Sincerely sorry any help appreciated !!!)
So my phone charges fast only with one usb cable that i have and it is not branded instead a very out of shape cable (left one in photo)
I have other branded cables as well but it hardly reaches even 400mA but those cable charge other device pretty well but not my kenzo
Now i have tried different rom, different kernel , flashed thermal libs but nothing seems to work.
I also have a original sub pcb which was changed due to mic problem and changing to that isn't working either.
So what can be the problem ? is it the usb port ? or like anything else?
It would be great if someone could help me with this please

I do not speak English so I will turn to the translator.
Connect the phone to the computer, if the computer gives an error or does not recognize it directly, it changes the flex that goes from the motherboard to the sub motherboard, what happens is that to have a load greater than 400 mAh the tracks of the data and in my opinion that is the problem you have, the same thing happened to me and with changing the flex it was enough, if the flex is ok then change the charging port that also fails

Well the phone gets recognized and i transfer data regularly no problem with that but the issue is just with charging.
Still i just now changed the flex that connects motherboard and sub board and the issue still remains.
I guess i will have to change the sub pcb and see if that helps or not.
