[Q] Pregnancy App?? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys!
Anyone that knows where too find a pregnancy app to the Hd2 phone?
Yes we are having a baby! COOL!
have a nice day people!!

Cheers for having a small one incoming! Grats on that one!
I'm not really sure what you would expect from an Pregnancy App?
I mean now that you have become pregnant 90% of the apps. I come to think of is not needed any longer.
However you could use the Senti-Timer as an app.:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=693689
Put it on 6588 hours minus the hours since you have become pregnant and you get a beep when you are supposed to give birth!
Kindly
Kwas

I'd suggest you TouchWoman.
Among its features there's the one that you're looking for, I think
Full Features List:
- Predict the time of the next cycle (from your history data)
- Predict the ovulation time (statistical)
- Get reminder before the start of the next cycle
- Conception probability chart
- Calculate the birth date, conception time or star sign
- Keep log of past cycles; record notes of important events
- Get history charts and statistics
- Stylish & elegant; with customizable color themes
- Data backup & recovery
- Optional password protection
Oh, and...congratulations for the great news!!!

[PRJ] Genius Suit, to compete with the upcoming wp7 interface!

Hi,
I've been checking out xda-developers for a while now, just for fun in the beginning. But three months ago i bought my very own hd2, and I started developing So I've been making this today screen replacement called Genius Suit. It's something completely new. I tried to actually make themes of actual pictures to give the user a richer experience. A 'alpha' version is kind of working on my hd2 now, quicker than I expected. Well, enough talking, let me show it to you!
Features:
- Immersive experience through real pictures!
- Live wallpapers (called motions within the Suit)
- Weather forcast
- Start menu replacement
- Music/Video player. (Not fully implented yet)
- Draggable icons
- Desktop windows like task manager
To be implented (to do list):
- Full video and audio support
- OpenGL acceleration (already made some progress here)
- A functional settings menu
- Make it a today screen plugin (now only an .exe file)
- Replace the default windows manager (kind of hard)
- Speed tweaks
- Maybe some widget support
I might be opening this up for beta testing in the next month or so, depends on how quickly I can implent most of my to do list
Let me know what you think!
Maxim
EDIT: For some reason I can't implement outside links or something, says the moderators have to aprove me, so you will have to wait for screenshots
you didn't show anything. you only let us read
any screenies or any sort of teaser?
i'm sure lot's of people will be dying to try.
keep up the good work!
oops.. dbl post
just put the link with a * in it or something..
curious to see the layout, but the today screen plugin is a very good PLUS for me...
i hope is not only for HD2...i have a tilt2....
Are you certain that it's 'Suit' and not 'Suite'?
Anyway, looking forward to seeing this. Holler if you need anything
More of an App than a Theme - so moved to that Forum

First Impressions
I just discovered this app and thought I'd leave my first impressions. Here goes...
At first go it's just what I've been looking for: a simple checklist app. It seems to be just that. I wouldn't say it's immediately intuitive, but with some messing around I picked up the basic routine. As with all things, with a little more playing around it will become 2nd nature. You should be aware, however, that the screen doesn't render properly in landscape (my phone is a TP2 [WVGA] see details in sig). As such, I couldn't confirm compatibility with the hard keyboard on my device.
Also, something to consider for future development, would be a way to create a link for a specific list that can be placed in one's calendar/appt editor. This probably takes away from the simplicity aspect, but that would be really slick!
I'll play with it some more throughout the week, but for simplicity's sake I like what you've put together -- at least on 1st impressions. Thanks for sharing!
thank you very much for your comments

May I leave some friendly feedback?
(I'm going to assume you said "yes"...)
First of all, allow me to repeat that this is a great little app. Simple and useful. Further, you have shared it with us freely, and I'm the first to acknowledge "beggars can't be choosy." With this in mind, I offer the following...
The boot time is too slow. One would think that given how light-weight this app is, it should load much like an immediate toggle on/toggle off application. While you're deserving of the credit appearing in your 'welcome'/'boot' screen, perhaps eliminating this feature would speed the load time? Even if it would not speed the load, I would like to see the Category menu straight away without an extra screen to pass through.
Second, it would be nice if Categories, and not just Items, could be saved to the vault. (Am I missing something?) It would be nice to create a simple template to the vault, then be able to copy a version to the active menu which could be applied as needed. Make sense?
Lastly, would it be possible to move the command bar down a centimeter or so? That way 4 full Category/Item panels could be visible w/o having to scroll up/down. I understand it's placed to accommodate ergonomic thumb usage, but to see 4 full Item panels, as opposed to 3 1/2, would be worth the slight stretch...
I'm really looking forward to a WVGA version as I'll be able to use the keyboard on my TP2, which would make this even MORE useful!
Once again, many thanks!!!
p.s. - There's also a couple of spelling errors in the menu guides. 'Aproove' comes to mind right off. ('Approve' is correct) However, your English is far superior to my Greek, so I have no room to criticize...

The boot time is extremely slow... Its not my fault... This programming language is slow (even a "Hello world" takes 3-4 secs to load)
In the new version you have the option to disable the splash screen

Why you make your life so difficult?

In the new version you can adjust the row height of the items/categories

...not bad, I'm also think about this topic...but, keep in mind the important issue: "small and easy".
I think, these is the most benefit from this app, so any new features should be aware of this point before added.
(MASPWARE Checklist, as example, looks nice, but you could be very easily lost in categories and items in up to 4 stages of deep)
But you're right, there are some improvents possible - let's see, what others will say and give Dadi68 a chance to enjoy the summer before making a version 3.0...

Ok, add categories to vault...
you mean an empty cateory or a category full of items?
I started to like that idea

Yes, a category full of items: a template. For example, a simple agenda template...
A template of the user's own design could be kept in the vault. In my case, there are occasions when I don't need to use a full appointment editor; I just need to keep a running list of contacts and times for any given day. Instead of retyping the time increments over and over, a blank agenda is always at the ready!
Although, this brings up another issue for me:
Whenever I attempt to edit one of the time slots on my agenda template, I get the warning seen in the pic above. I have the current-most NETCF v35 on my device, in addition to the NET CF v35 Messages.EN.wm .cab: am I missing anything? If I click 'yes' I'm able to continue and add a contact to a time slot, but the error message repeats with each edit.
Looking for ward to watching your app evolve -- Thanks!

Im waiting for comments from my dear beta-tester
@Minnesinger : Can you help me by correcting spelling errors? To fix them before release the new version?
@All :
To Do:
1. Store full Categories (with items) into Vault [ NEXT WEEK ]
Have a beautiful weekend people!

[Widget] MotoGP 2012 calendar widget

Now on market: Search for "MotoGP 2012 Schedule widget"
Hi Guys,
There must be a lot of MotoGP fans out there like me who want to stay in sync with the Race calendar through their android phones.
Searched on the market a lot for a light weight widget which shows upcoming race Found some good ones but then idea of creating my own widget for my phone came. It came out good hence decided to share it with others as well.
The screenshots and the apk are attached.
This widget doesn't connect to internet nor it accesses any resources on the phone.
It shows Race Date, Next Session (FP1, FP2, etc) and its timing converted to local timezone, Race Name, venue, etc.
How to use:
- Long press on an empty spot in your homescreen (preferably an empty screen itself since the widget is little big)
- Select 'Widgets'
- Select 'MotoGP Calendar Widget'
I tested this on HTC EVO 3D, Nexus One, HTC Incredible using Go Launcher and Default Sense.
Venturing for the first time into the world of android apps. Your suggestions, feedback, complaints are welcome though please be gentle on criticism
Disclaimer: All the images that are displayed are from the following link and I take no ownership of it: motogp.com/en/calendar+circuits
I am in no way connected to Dorna Sports or MotoGP nor working for them nor is this an official app.
PS: Hope I have posted this on the right section. If not my apologies in advance and please move this thread appropriately.

[Q] Best Money Managing app?

Hi,
I've been looking for an money managing app but there are WAAAY to much, and none I've tried have the functionality I'm looking for. I'm searching for an app with these features, in decreasing order of importance:
Ability to make circle diagram or bar chart reports that are clickable so you can see the individual expenses per category
above bar chart for a user definable period of time, for example May 1st to October 1st
Subcategories (e.g. Gas, Maintenance etc. for car, restaurant and supermarket for food)
export to csv
Here are some I already tried:
Monas
- No Subcategories
- Bar chart is not clickable
+ User definable dates in reports but
- Reports are not clickable to see individual payments
Expense Manager
- No subcategories
+ Bar chart is clickable for individual payments
- Reports only per month (free version at least, I don't want to pay and risk it still not being how I like)
Finance41
- No subcategories
+ Circle diagram clickable
- Only report for this month, last month or last 2 months
Financius
+ Categories and Subcategories, fully customizable
- Circle diagram not clickable for individual payments
- Report only per month
I've also tried Money Tracker, One Touch Expenser, XTrack and a few more, but they all miss at least one of tthe requirements. Does anyone have an idea which app may be suitable for me?
No one?

Too Much Music not enough Calendar?

First of all, I absolutely love this app. It's so easy to use yet powerful and the variety is just incredible. I remember a few years ago when I still had a jailbroken iPhone 3GS, it took me a whole afternoon just to make my phone look like one of these themes, now it's just a press of a button.
I just want to voice a little suggestion for the designers out there and if anyone disagrees with me, please send it right back. I think one of the coolest things about Android compared to iOS is the widgets and one widget that many people use often around me is the calendar. Unfortunately, even though there are so many amazing themes made for this app, very few of them actually dedicate enough space to a calendar widget (and often not at all).
Every theme though seems to dedicate a whole page to a music app. From my experience, this isn't really necessary since when a song is playing, i can see it in the notifications shade or when I want to start a new session to listen to music, I probably want to go into the app and choose which song to start with.
So I'm just making a suggestion to include more calendar widgets in future themes because at the moment, there's not enough themes with them but there are too many themes with music widgets. What do you guys think?
or better yet, make a theme yourself and include whatever you want =)

I plan to eventually but I don't have the time right now so I thought I'd make a suggestion for those who do.
A good way to start finding your work-life balance is to challenge yourself to identify one behavior that you can change. What makes you happiest? What stresses you out the most? Determine your answers, then focus on a few areas in which you can improve, whether it's socializing more at work or planning out your day better. Soon you’ll be living happier, too!

Thanks for the self-help tip. It's funny how a suggestion for future themes lead to a lesson on life management! I guess I better keep this in mind the next time I write an app review in the Google Play Store.

well that sorted my life out !!!! seriously how is this helping anyone !!!!!
I understand what you mean that many do try and have more music apps etc and as you mention are not always useful,I am guilty of this myself in some respects, but when I create a style I create them because I want to not because they may or not become popular,as this doesn't concern me.It is all down to personal taste I suppose.
I maybe give this a try in a future theme,to be honest it is a good suggestion in my opinion

Yeah, right now it is the shades of green the only really good theme, if you want events on the home screen. I also feel that all the themes go in a direction of fun and design, and there are only very few, that at least add basic organizer options.
More work related themes would be welcome
I have to second the request for a calendar widget in more of the themes.
I LOVE themer and it's my default launcher now. I use the agenda view of the calendar all the time which gives me the option to scroll through my appointments and meeting times. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of themes that present this option, such as 'Series', 'Silver lining', 'Coordinate' and 'Violet'.
I usually just end up inserting an agenda widget in one of the unused whitespaces in the screen.
I would make my own themes, but I don't have a creative bone in my body. I couldn't hope to come up with anything half as nice as what you guys do on a regular basis.
Thank you for all your hard work. I will certainly be paying for this launcher when it comes out of beta. :good:
