when i can not activate my droid x2, so i go to google search
in there, i saw the ways to work for it, but both are not working for my phone, anyone help me???
one way is: the normal tap of top left top right bottom right bottom left(not working)
other ways is: How to Manually Program the Motorola Droid X 2
The Droid X 2 by Motorola requires Over The Air (OTA) programming to properly function. If normal activation cannot be performed, you can bypass the Activation Screen by touching all four corners (going clockwise) starting at the Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Right, Bottom-Left. Make sure to touch right above the green line for the bottom right and left.
Touch the Phone Icon, then dial # # 7 7 6 4 7 2 6, then touch the phone icon again
Enter your SPC passcode (default 000000) then tap Verify
Select User Activation
Touch in the MIN box, delete the existing information and enter your 10 digit MIN (if not known, can be found by old device, receipt, or by contacting your carrier)
Touch in the MDN box, delete the existing information and enter your 10 digit phone number without any dashes or spaces
Touch in the CDMA Sys ID and enter your SID (if not known, contact your carrier or find from old device)
Touch Done to save your information and return to User Activation menu
Press the Home Key to exit out of your programming
The screen should display: Programming Complete-Device will restart automatically
And that's it, you're all set!(not working either)
oh my god, i search from other site, have one post is working for my phone, i try work for it now, thank you that guy.
this is the orginal post"I ordered 2 brand new x2 and both would not activate they would both only depress the #1 key on there own straight out of the box with no keypad function or anything, there is however a fix for this if you run into this problem here:
press and hold both the power button and the volume down button at the same time
when you see "fastboot" on the screen release the buttons and press just the down volume button
until you see boot bypass (bp) then press both the volume up & down buttons at the same time
wait a minute and will boot up to google setup, enter some random email and password into google setup and click ok (it wont matter what you enter because it's not going to connect to google) but this is necessary to do, once it has attempted to connect to google backup until you can select skip or setup later, this will then boot the phone up with no service, you can then do a normal activation *228 then press 1 or just use without service "
My girlfriend's just taken my Samsung Galaxy S2 off my hands and asked me if she could use the 'menu' button at the bottom-left of the phone to dial a contact, and the 'back' button at the bottom-right to end a call, so she can do everything with one hand.
Is there an app that lets you do this, or perhaps puts the 'dial' and 'end call' functions right at the bottom corners of the screen, does anyone know?
When "in a call", the screen that shows the contact info at the top half with the call duration and the phone options being on the bottom (ex. add call, dial pad, end-call, etc). Is there anyway to flip flop the contact view with the phone options? Reason being, when I press the dial pad button, the keypad pops up on the top half of the screen, making it hard to press numbers with one hand. At most, this may be a suggestion at this point, but I have been searching everywhere about this and I cannot come up with anything.
bump
I do not menu button appears in applications in upper right (3 points vertically) I can do?
(Sorry for my bad english)
So write it down again, so we can understand what are you talking about...

The "three dots icon" is no longer used by Google and developers should not use it .
You can hold the third key (multi tasking, but I like to call it "alt tab" ) for a second or two and the menu should pop up. If not then there is no menu.
If you want to restore three dots, there is an option in the settings menu. Read the manual!
