Hi, I need to disable my front 3 keys from turning my screen on when it is locked.
Right now when my phone is in my pocket my phone screen turns on and drains my battery, also it appears to sometimes unlock and even enter the unlock pattern.
I tried following the tips on this page but it didnt seem to work

I am having this problem...I lock the screen however if i push the power button to bring the screen on, I will see where i have to put in my pin or if i use the pattern if i do nothing and let the screen go off again i wait 2-3 seconds and push power again the screen comes on and all you have to do is drag the screen saver and you are in.
How come it doesnt stay locked? Is this a glitch I am using the stock system

Thanks alot, I was tryng to search google and kept getting nothing that applied to what I was searching for. Guess I was using the wrong terms
I have been able to get around entering my lock pin number simply by waking up the device with the power button and pressing the X when using the face unlock method to get to the pin unlock screen then you just press around the section of the screen that has the time and it works every time! Can anyone else duplicate this? Everything on my phone is stock running the latest Verizon software.
Can't duplicate it.
Running ACE 4.5 and PBJ

It has happened many times before by mistake for example I would be pulling my phone out of my shirt pocket and my hand would be on the screen and I would notice that the phone would be unlocked. This morning it happened and I was able to recreate it several times in a row but now I can't seam to get it to happen again. The only difference is now it's not dark. (the sun is up) the face lock also detects the amount of light and sometimes says low light so maybe that has something to do with it since I've noticed this happening a lot when I take my phone out of my pocket.
I got all kinds of ways to bypass the lock on mine its weird..notification pulldown works to..or if you have the stock ticker going that unlocks it also
There are situations where I want to immediately lock my phone: e.g. I'm charging it at my desk and have to run away for a meeting or something. In that case I just want to lock it immediately and go. I don't want to put it to sleep because because it's not really locked in that mode. With my old "dumb" phone, I could just hold down one of the keys (* or #) and it would be locked. But I can't figure out how to do that with the Amaze. I found a one-touch option for turning wifi off/on and changing the sound profile but nothing for locking the screen.
I searched the manual and online but could only find how to customize the lock screen, not a one-touch solution. There must be one right?
I'm not running stock, but I thought there was an option have it lock immediately after it's put to sleep. The option is there in CM anyway.

Screen lock and off app. You can set it to lock on long press of the search button, or just add a shortcut to your home screen or Dock.

Hey so my v10 sometimes doesn't allow me to unlock my phone with my fingerprint and I have to manually enter my password. Is this a problem for anyone else or just me? I have changed the fingerprints and changed lock screen from knock code to pattern but neither helped.
Yes I get this too. I know it will force manual entry after reboot but I experience this throughout the day from time to time. Its inconsistent.
Do you use an app to put the phone to sleep? There is a known issue in Marshmallow where fingerprint unlock will not work if the phone is put to sleep via an app rather than the power button.
I do double tap the status sometimes to turn the screen off but I don't think it's that. And no I don't use an app to turn off the screen
Hello, Everyone.
It's my first time posting here. I just received my phone yesterday with 64gb/3gb MTK variant. I have been testing it out and noticed that unlocking the phone is a bit buggy or is there a setting i can change? Here is the problem: When i unlock the phone via power button it turns on and after a split second the screen turns off. And if i try to unlock it again via power button it won't turn on. If i try to unlock it via fingerprint it turns on and everything is fine again. Is this a bug or a feature i can turn off?
Thank you.

Hi,
I don't believe that to be the default behavior when pressing the power button.
What is the version of your ROM?

This happens after you leave the phone for a bit right? Not after you manually turn off the screen. I think what is happening is the moment you try to unlock it, the screen is not actually locked but the brightness is just way too low. This phone when left untouched has a two stage brightness dim
1. The brightness when you immediately stop using it
2. A lower brightness which comes 15 seconds after you stop using it and then it actually locks
The latest global developer ROM does not have this problem as they increased the second stage dim brightness so that users are not fooled into thinking that the screen has been locked
