What to update after cm6 install? - Android

So I have cm6 stable on my sprint cdma hero. I'm using ATK Froyo beta and juice defender beta. I haven't updated my radio is that a great idea? Should I? If so how? Are there any other suggestions as far as noticeable battery and performance improvements?

I would ask in the Hero CDMA Q&A forum. They will know best.

Which rom?

I'm currently using vanillaeclair 3.3 and I'm looking to move into froyo.
Any ideas for one as stable and fast at vanilaeclair.
Froyo isn't stable on our hero yet...
Damn oh well shouldn't be too long. OK then what eclair then LOL.
Personally I'm loving sensehero at the moment. Build 5.1 has apps2sd and can be jit enabled. No overclock at the moment.
The menu bar is also replaced with a clone of the froyo one so it's a nice stop gap on the way to a stable 2.2 release.

Good AOSP Rom?

I personally have the Hero on Sprint, my dad has the Eris, is there a ROM that's similar to DarchDroid/Cyanogenmod for the Eris? Overclock, senseless, and Apps2SD are the most important features I'm after.
Have you looked in our "Droid Eris Android Development" section?

Yeah, looking through the list of ROMs here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649705
Any particular recommendations given my preferences?
EDIT: List should be updated, looks like ErisLightningBolt is the one I'm looking for.
White widow. But go to android forums because someone always finds a way to get him banned off here so it isnt very up yo date.

WW is a great AOSP rom, and if you wait it out when KaosFroyo is finalized it will be superb to say the least. Diamond in the rough.
I tried it out a while back but I couldn't get a2sd to work so I went back to white widow. But it was pretty fast and smooth.

Go with CyanogenTazz. Best froyo rom. Doesn't have the same choppiness as KaosFroyo - very smooth. Amazing battery life.

Which rom...

Has the best battery life? I'm using cherry pie v 0.5 and the battery is half dead by the time I leave work! (I don't use the phone more than 10 texts while at work it used to last two days no problem with heavy use before I went to gingerbread)

nexus s. softare build for hardware and hardware build for software. its a google quality phone. the poor atrix got the crap kicked out of it with Motorola's crapware.
and blur. just wait for some real aosp roms and full cm7. this phone will be butter.
also look forward to ice cream sandwich. so we get some real support for qhd screens and hardware acceleration.
LOVE Alien.
The battery life is amazing.
I am using Alien v4 and Faux123's OC kernel. I average no less then 24 hours per charge with moderate-heavy usage.
I agree, alien is amazing

Ive tried Cherryblur, Alien, & Pie i'm currently using Darkside until Cyanogen goes post beta and i'm loving it. Battery life is great and performance is great as well. Haven't had any issues with it either.

Ice cream Sandwich or CM Nightly 7.2.0?

Is ICS at a fully working state yet?
Which is recommended for the best speed?
Also is ICS (build 6) good for a daily driver yet?

There's a list of known issues in the ICS thread. Its my daily driver.
Ics build 6 is amazing and it is my daily driver for sure. Mms works and video/camera does also and it's super fast so I would most definitely recommend ics.

Cm7 is still faster. But Ics plus glitch 14 is sick. And my 4 way lockscreen of course.

CM9 is my daily driver.
No reboots yet, currently using Medroid 6.1. Texasice and miui are good too.
No hw acceleration yet, but for me that just means no games or videos.
Oops just realized this is not a nexusone subforum
I like both but Cm7.2 is still better imo.

I bounce back and forth between both of them.
Does this only work on verizon?
I have to say the combination of THS build 6.1 w/ Icy Glitch kernel has really impressed me! It's now my daily driver replacing cm7.2...

Yes, it only works on Verizon. You got a Telus Fascinate, I take it?

What ROM? Samsung Vibrant

Hi everyone. Quick question. What ROm is the most stable for now for Samsung Vibrant. Thank you!
Most stable? Probably bionix 1.3.1 or CM7(911 issues with cm though.)
Ics roms are quite stable for me, minor bugs here and there.

Updated CM7/9 kangs have fixed 911.
So are they going to start officially supporting the vibrant now that 911 issues has been resolved?

That's a hard question to answer at this point in time. Almost every rom is stable for the Vibrant. The question is, what are you looking for in a rom?
Are you looking for customization? Then you'll want to look into roms like Miui. Do you want great battery life? Then you'll want to look into roms like Deranged 9 or Bionix. Are you that kind of person who "has to have the latest and greatest"? Then you may want to check out roms like Passion. There are hundreds of roms to choose from! If you can narrow down your preferences then it will be very easy to point you in the direction of roms you'll like...
I vote bionix great battery

Out of the ICS ROMs, which has the best battery life and has working 911? I don't care about GPS.
Bionix

My vote would be passion if you don't mind the mute and unmute bug
