Hello everybody!
I'm using factory unlocked HD2 in US, bought on Amazon, but apparently it was manufactured in Portugal. When I was trying to download ROM through the htc.com by serial number it gave me PTG ROM, so i downloaded it and flashed.
Then I did the same but with RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.
What do I do to flash it with custom ROM after this, if possible? Please, guide me how to do it right, cause a lot of information on this forum and it's really confusing. Appreciate any help

Hi Guys,
I have been reading this forum now for a couple of days and I am very impressed with the amount of knowledge sharing going on here!
I am considering purchasing an XDA from the UK over ebay but I have a few questions,
If these much of a difference, performance wise between the 32 and 64MB models?
If a phone is locked to O2 in the UK can it be used on O2 in Ireland?
To unlock the phone I would need to install the special edition ROM published here, right? Is this suitable for the 32MB model? Is it hard to do?
Thanks for any help,
Adrian.

Yes: When I last looked, O2 locked to all of their providers in Europe.

This would be one way, yes. You could also get a serial cable and our program 'The Manipulator', or install the 3.17.03 ROM from Jeff's kitchen and make sure you select XDAunlock. After unlocking, you can switch to any ROM you like...
Great
Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.
Hi! does any one have a link or rom dump of the original T-Mobile uk rom? Got the phone 2 days ago, flashed it but want to sell it now on ebay so would like to flash back the original rom. I believe it is 1.69.110.8 WWE (08/21/08). I.ve searched the wiki and it's not there.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
New to the forum, and this is probably a noob question, but after trawling through loads of threads on here my head is spinning and i need some advice!
I decided to upgrade the ROM of my hd2 today as i am having problems with sending sms. i bought the phone second hand recently. It is sim unlocked and there is no carrier branding on the phone that i have noticed.
I tried to get a ROM from the htc site and got the not suitable message, long story short after speaking to htc i found my phone is from the Czech republic.
Now i have had a look at the ROM flashing tutorial and i am confident with doing it, however i am unsure about whether or not i need to use the Goldcard method?
Can i download the latest ROM from the UK HTC site and put it on my phone just using the Hardspl method here?
Thanks for any help offered, and sorry if this has been asked before, but i couldnt find an answer to my question.

Dear Experts!
I am in need of your urgent attention. My EU leo's touch screen got out of function while using andriod NAND.
Now I had to send it to claim warranty and for that i need official win mo 6.5 in it. I gone through many threads and tried some official rooms too but it says 00028002 NOT ALLOWED...
My S/N is SH08PNW01121
P/N is 99HJY032-00
I just need a working official rom(Any version) for my HD2 so that i can send it for repair.
Kindly spare sometime and guide me.
I shall feel humbled....
Is there anybody to help me out???
drusmaan, it that a bid deal to download official rom? It's no need to be a big "expert" - RTFM is more than enough
Go to the HTC correspondent site and download software update via inserting your IMEI number.
If you are sure that you have European model than - do it with Euro web site.
First - check your IMEI here: http://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr to be sure about the phone origin.

Hi All,
I recently dug my HD2 out and flashed an Android NAND ROM, and I would like to return it to Windows Mobile for a short while.
The problem is that I can't find any working links for the standard ROM.
If I'm correct, it was 1.66 which was flashed with RUU?
Any help that anyone can give would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Chris.
There are a couple of working links in the wiki http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_HD2#Official_ROMs_.26_Radios
Be absolutely sure to flash the correct rom for your device ie tmobile US or EU model. Else you may brick your device.

The problem seems to have been a rubbish USB cable.
Many thanks for your advice and the link - all working now.
