Last night I flashed from cm6.2RC2 to cm6.1RC2 just to see if it might be faster and I cleared my cache b4 I did my nandroid backup by mistake oops. When it loaded up I couldn't get to the wifi to stay on it would connect then disconnect. What can I do to fix that? I also thought that if I had my apps installed on my SD card that when I flashed different roms I would be able to keep them?? When I flashed I had swype and now I don't anymore and they stopped the beta is there a link still out there?? Thanks in advance for any answers.

1. Have you tried CM6 6.1.0 (the latest release)?
2. When you say it connects then disconnects, do you mean once your phone goes to sleep and you wake it up it disconnects or is already disconnected?
3. You should still have swype as long as you didn't wipe your data...i don't know how swype works but have you tried looking in settings > language & keyboard settings?
1. Yes that's the one I tried.
2. No I have read problems with the wifi and sleep mode but i didn't even go to sleep mode it was connecting and disconnecting the first time I turned it on
3. I was under the impression u had to both wipe data and the cache so no swype

1. Ok.
2. Hmm...that's quite odd...do you have another router you could try connecting to? Has wifi ever worked properly for you?
3. No you don't...if you're going from a CM rom to a CM rom you don't have to wipe data, just wipe cache.
Just flashed again and everything works fine thanks for clearing up that I didn't have to delete the data that makes everything easier

Yesterday I flashed and when I was done I realized double tapping home wasn't pulling up my cam. I checked the apps its not even there; did I make a mistake along the way? And can I get it back without flashing again? This is the first time I flashed a rom I've been rooted with bootloader unlocked for a while but never tried it til now. Also since im already bothering people is there a way to play netflix on a tv through the hdmi cable?

Have you tried a fresh reflash of the ROM? It has a camera because I have the ROM also.

I had the same problem too, but it was because I didn't wipe data in cwm. I tried the rom that saves data so I thought I wouldn't have to wipe data. I wiped data after I installed the rom (before the theme) and the d3 camera was there, but you lose everything in data.

if you're coming from anything but alien 2 you're best bet is to wipe, and use the wipe version as well for good measure
Thanks for the input I will wipe and try again sorry I didn't answer sooner I left for vacation but im in the hotel now with a little down time so ill give it a go. Thanks everyone!

^ this. and / or use the fastboot wipe, boot the phone into fastboot mode, hook it up to computer, open a command line prompt, navigate to your fastboot folder, and type fastboot -w to wipe all. Some people claim this is equal to or better than the wipe with CWM. I do all.
Thanks for all the input and wiping through fastboot did clear it so my cameras working but now I have other issues I can't lock my phone even though my fingerprint scanner is setup it has no security it turns on with no prompt, my home button doesn't work anymore, and it seems I can't mount the drives to my pc with the Usb cable. Should I try a fresh flash again. ive realized i cant cwm cause it wont find my external sd

Personally, when I have issues with a ROM:
I download the zip again (put it on in the sdcard folder)
reboot into CWR
wipe the cache
go to advanced and wipe the dalvik cache
wipe the system
go into format and ensure the wipe /system
install the rom
let the phone boot, don't touch anything, just go watch a tv show or something, (15m+ to be super nice)
reboot the phone, enter your information/basic settings, when it's done with all that, i let it settle again and reboot it before installing any apps or playing with the market
i've found that this is the "safest" way to install a ROM.
do you need to be this anal retentive? no.
will skipping these require you to re-install the rom again? occasionally, but not always
as always: most ROMs have their own installation instructions that should be followed!
Multi-Quote didn't work for me for some reason, but I was referring to @Zeej's instructions.
I agree here! This always get's the job done for me! I haven't had ANY 10.6 bugs, but I do like that it can be flashed right over top of previous v10 versions instead of having to worry about titaniumbackup etc... to reinstall everything!
First i had miui 4 and wifi worked well. 3 days ago wifi stopped working. So I flashed a new ics rom and kernel. Still my wifi is now working. Help me please.

Try updating to beta 10 over the ota. Wifi is related to the kernel.

If post #8 does not help I would restart from scratch:
1. Do a Nandroid backup
2. Install latest stock firmware
If Wifi is still not working you might have a hardware problem.
If Wifi is working you have good starting point for further investigations

ok I had the same problem, as in when I go to the settings and I click the turn on wifi button, It just says Turning on wifi in the middle of the screen and wifi never turns on. Here is what I did to fix that.
keep in mind that I have the Revolt ICS v.0.9.2 rom installed
1.boot into download mode(i think that's what it is called) press power+volumeup+home
2.navigate to reset/clear factory data
3.wipe cache
4.go to advance and wipe delvik cache
5.re-install rom
6.wipe cache
7.wipe delvik cache
8.reboot
This fixed the problem for me. Hope this helps
Cheers.

Do you mean Recovery or Download?
I always thought Power+Home+Volume Up were recovery.
Just saying, it doesn't really matter.
I am unlocked + s-off, on virus3d rom, been using this rom for 2 months everythings ok, now it started to turn off, i just turn on it enter pin code and turns off, till i don't pull the charger, the battery says random things also there was a problem like android.acore problem why my phone turns off very fast i just cant use it properly
Have you wiped cache and or uninstalled any battery saving software?
I had the same problem i had to wipe and flash it again and restore with titanium backup
Well I've been having the same problems!!! And actually I thought it was my phone. It's not its something about the Rom and or kernel mix.

This is my vote. Get updated version of the ROM or same one. Flash using recovery.
Same problem even after flashing a different rom

Hi,
I have a problem with my Wi-Fi. After a while it starts to go very slow. I have checked it with a speed test and its about 0.5 mbits. I first fixed the problem with a factory reset, but it came back after a day.
I have since found that a cache wipe, from the stock recovery menu, fixes the problem too, but it comes back again after about a day or even less.
I tried some cache wiping apps, but only the wipe from the recovery menu seems to do the trick.
I am on stock JB and I don't want to root out put a custom ROM on yet as my phone is still under warranty.
How can I find out what's causing the problem? It's getting rather annoying having to go to the recovery menu every day.
Thanks

That is strange? Maybe its an app you have installed or maybe a bug in the filmware. Head over to "samfilmware" and download the latest build for your version.
Dont think flashing official firmware from there will void your warranty as its official.

Tried flashing the latest stock ROM, same temporary fix like wiping the cache, but after a few hours, goes back to normal. This is with no other apps installed, other than the speedtest app, which I installed after I first identified the problem, so its not an app.
Another thing I noticed is that it went away after I disabled the 5Ghz wifi connection on my router, but it came back. The I tried manual wifi channel instead of auto, same thing. Problem went away, and then came back.
If I change the wifi channel the problem goes away, and then comes back after a few hours.
It seems like wifi settings must have something to do wit it, but I can find a combination which cures it completely.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is starting to drive me bonkers:crying:
Try hawkerpaul s GS2Nuke script, if it doesn't work try another wifi (other then the one at your home), if it works with another wifi then reset your router, if it doesn't work try making it without password.
