Is there a rom for the original att aria. Both the cyanogen and liberated roms are giving me trouble I just want to go back to the default
Did u not do a nandroid back up? Just go to clock work. Nandroid, restore then pick the oldest one and let it restore. That should work....

I frequently lose connection with liberty
I cant send/ receive picture/voice/video messages with either
Cyan drains my battery like crazy, 100% last night went to sleep woke up and the phone was dead..
If you know solutions to these then I'm willing to try and work with these ROMs, but other wise I think I need to get back to default.

Before you flash each one, wipe user data, wipe cache, and wipe dalvik cache.

No, follow the instructions that are at that link. You run the RUU on your PC with your phone connected via the USB cable.

I'm using cm also. I do not have this battery problem. I charge at night and go to work next day and my battery last till I go back to bed the next day. Do u have advanced task killer to kill any app that may be running in the back grounds?also set apps that refresh automatically to do so less often. These things help mine alot.

No I didn't have a task killer, but it's not like that really matters, i think. The cm was newly flashed all I had was the apps that came with is and I don't think that it had many that would require so much power to run while in sleep mode. The phone was fully charged after the flash then I went to sleep and when I woke up the phone was dead.

hey,
I bought a month ago a new vibrant from the states and I installed Bionix rom and then Honeybee.
I have 2 problems with the battery:
the first one is when I'm rebooting the cellphone the percents of the battery status get down by 10-30%, for example: I had 45% and then after the reboot I got 22%, sometimes it's even fell to 0%.
the second one is that the battery is working only within 5-5 and half hours max with no Wi-Fi and normal-less usage, the display is taking at least 80% of my battery (as it write on the setting option), I do have juice defender and I tried to find out what application taking so much battery but no success (I used some programs like watchdog lite and etc.).
I tried to change the battery the other ones (even battery that works great on the I-9000).
**I've tried to calibrate the battery more than once.
anybody has some suggestions?
have you done a battery calibration

try a different kernel

if you save them to the sim it wont matter
or back up contacts/calls with titanium backup, cant restore it on any other version though, just 2.2.1 if thats what honeybee is
back up anything else you want with titanium, preferable not system data unless you're just going to restore it to that version

Best way in my opinion is just to make sure you save everyone as a Google contact. That way they are backed up and restored automatically.

try calibrating again, charge full, unplug, if it drops, plugin again, keeps repeating this till it stays at 100
then use a calibration app
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1024867
or boot into recovery and wipe battery stats
or do it through root explorer and reboot
it'll take a few charge cycles to settle in, charge full, run all the way down till its completely dead, charge full, run all way down again
alright, so I calibrated my cellphone and it is still with the battery problem... is it possible that there is an hardware problem?

Have had my SGT 10.1 for about a month, unlocked bootloader, rooted, running Bonsai 0.2.0. Flashed Starburst a couple of days ago, with pershoot's kernel.
All has been well, until today, when it began shutting down because it thought it was out of power, although it was at 76%. I tried a few things to fix this, including wiping battery stats, and wiping data, cache and dalvik and restoring my nandroid backup. Now the Tab is draining the battery quickly, using it up in about 1/2 hour.
Do I need to replace this Tab, or is there a solution?
TIA!
I see other users are also having a the same issue ion the 10.1v development forum, have a look, maybe they can assist.

I believe the procedure is as stated in post #4.
Also, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1024867
Point of note: I've had the same battery phenomena occur on wifi (which I returned) and LTE units.
Key point: I have not rooted either of these units.
I believe it may be a Samsumg hardware issue. I am also wondering if this is a result of the unit(s) being banged around, as it seems to happen when I leave it in my laptop case or carry it on the go, more frequently. I can think of about six times this has happened...

Hello all,
I've recently rooted my device and flashed eclipse 1.3. Since I've had the device (2 weeks), it has been dropping wifi randomly. It will drop it and pick it up at totally random times. I've tried reflashing, clearing cache and dalvik, flashing mods having to do with wifi, and anything else I can think of.
I've checked all my settings that deal with wifi, and everything checks out. The only thing I haven't tried is a factory reset, but when I purchased the device, it was already done. Does this mean that it is defective? Is there anything else I can try save a factory reset?
Thanks for your help guys.
I would suggest doing this instead:
Get the 2.3.4 SBF and put that onto your phone. This does wipe out everything, so do a backup of your apps and settings before you SBF.
Download Eclipse again to ensure that the previous image wasn't corrupted and flash it after rooting your device
I guess my big question is, what version were you running BEFORE you flashed Eclipse? Was it 2.3.4? If it wasn't, that may be your problem right there, possibly, although most people experience a lot of FCs when they do this.
is it dropping it while the screen is off or on?
I am was running 2.3.4 blur stock rooted. And it happens when the screen is on and off, even when you're using it.
are you running any sort of battery saver application that could possibly be shutting off you wifi

Ok, so for the last month or so after flashing a Rom the time on my phone will be ahead like an hour and a half. More like 1hr 37 minutes. Usually rebooting the phone gets it resolved, but it is getting a little irritating to look at my phone for the time and think it is later than it really is. It would be funny to leave work an hour and half early though. lol
Anyway, not sure if this is something I should really worry about or what. It doesn't seem to be Rom related. I have had the probelm with AOSP/AOKP, Newt one XxX, Viper, and Neo's Rage Roms. Not sure if recovery would do that or not, but I'm running Amon-Ra, I think 3.15.
Edit: Oh yeah, and when the time is off, if I go to settings/date & time it has the correct time zone of Pacific time and everything. Changing things in there makes no difference. I still have to power off and reboot.

The funny part is that I can see in the date and time settings that it correctly has determined me to be in the pacific time zone.
Same thing happens to me every now and then. Its usually off 40 minutes or so for me. Funny u said id be funny if u left work early cause one day me and my buddy were playing golf and he ended up being 40 minutes late cause my phones time was off again lol. And yup same thing happens to me in the time settings. They all show to be correct and it won't fix without a reboot. Although it hasn't happened to me in the last month or so.

I've run into the same thing since I started using viper. All settings are correct, clean flash, no nandroid or titanium. Sometimes it's 40 minutes, sometimes an hour, seems totally random. Never happened until going to the sense 4 ROM. A reboot always straightens it out. Weird.
Weird. I flashed the EclipticRez Rom and it didn't have this problem. Every other Rom I've flashed for a while did, but this one didn't. Must be something in the Rom's somewhere. Not a big deal by any means, easy to deal with.
Yea I have this happening to me right now on my laptop. I fix the time and maybe few hours later or days, it's random it will go back 3 hours. IT"S been pissin me off and I can't or don't know how to fix it. I feel stupid doing this but I google search what time it is so I can find out the time when I'm on my laptop.
I flash a lot. I also have noticed my CM10.1 running like total crap lately. I also went back to Sense about a week ago but came back to CM.
I have done this once before and had great success, and just did it again today and my phone is running super smooth.
1) Back up anything you care about (pics, music, docs, titanium backups, etc)
2) boot into recovery
3) FORMAT EVERYTHING.
4) Copy ROM to storage (might have to mount it)
5) Flash
I did not restore everything from TiBU, but installed most of my apps from the Play Store. I decided to install things as I needed them because I realized I don't use probably half of the apps I have backed up. I did about 20 apps from TiBU (no data).
Copy stuff back to your phone that you want to have on it...for me it was just pics and a few eBooks.
I know a factory reset and a flash would normally do the trick, but I think perhaps something got screwy when I went to the Sense ROM. Since did these steps this morning, my phone has not rebooted, crashed system ui, screen always wakes up, no proximity issues, and battery life is pretty good (stock CM kernel from Fly)
Edit: statement that proximity sensor issue did not occur has been revoked.

I don't just wipe data and factory reset. I format the storage media and the system partition. If you have TwRP go to Wipe, advanced, check everything and wipe. Basically your phone is a clean slate.
I used to use AmonRa and I know you can do the same, but can't recall the actual steps.

I have noticed a lot depends on what you are flashing and what you are doing with it. I use FlyHalf's CM build and kept getting myself into trouble with custom kernels. I have been running incredibly stable for about a week now on stock kernel with no tweaks. I do have Autokiller Memory Optimizer installed now however. Not sure if it's helping, but it definitely is not hurting.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
So I've been on Infection 2.7 since Sunday. Formatted as instructed, installed very little apps, all from the play store. Didn't restore anything (including my Nova backup, which I did almost every time before this), and I kept the stock kernel (Funky 3.4) without making ANY changes to the settings.
I have noticed that it is much more stable, as I have only gotten 1 or 2 FCs since flashing...I used to get 2-3 per hour. I am still getting the "hot reboot" on manual wake though. The scenario is this: "Notification!", I press the power button, the soft keys light up but the screen stays black, a few seconds later I get the infamous spinning matrix android. To me, because it happens almost exclusively on wake, it has to be related to the kernel/governor and have something to do with it pulling out of deep sleep.
I am following the Infection, SenseXP and Funky AOSP threads, and will try each of the new ROMS/Kernel/Recovery combos this weekend and post some results as soon as I get something definitive.
As always, post if you have anything else I can try, but for anyone wondering if its worth formatting....it certainly appears to have made my phone alot more stable, so give it a shot.
I have another user that is getting very similar symptoms -sans the FC's on a different rom I dev for. Best me and him could come up with is that it is a signal issue, causing a crash at low end. Try a minimum clock @ 432mhz.

Is there a way to prevent deep sleep? I know this would destroy battery life, but it might help determine if its related to waking from deep sleep. In the mean time, I'll bump the min to 432.

Yeah, I'm on RA, HIRO, and Infection 2.8.1 right now, so we'll see how it goes.
You don't want to disable deep sleep. At max you will only get 2hrs of battery also could even trigger thermal throttling. Try a sense ROM with my kernel version 3.4 and report back that's if 432 doesn't work out.
Also try switching to Br0kens vanilla aokp.

UPDATE
Increasing to 432 did not solve the problem, but then I thought that my screen brightness app Lux may have something to do with it. After disabling the app, I didnt have a single quick reboot in 2 or 3 days. Just re-installed it this morning and rebooted on my first wake. I did not have any reboots on the stock live wallpaper or a replacement wallpaper, but I was on a non-live wallpaper when I got the reboot from the app.
If I have any more issues, I'll try the Sense or Br0ken roms and report back.
OP: Sorry for the thread jack, and thanks again for the tip to wipe. That plus what I mentioned above has given me the most stable experience I've had since March!
Things were getting wonky with more than usual reboots, no matter what rom I loaded. So I backed up pics, formatted everything in recovery (all partitions and storage, flashed (Beanstalk) and treated the phone as if it were new. No app or data restores, etc.
Phone is running super solid without any issues, not a single blip.
It's like formatting a hard drive and reinstalling the OS and rebuilding from scratch.
