I have the LiveView accessory and it uses the Android stock media player ("Music").
I would like to use it instead of Mediascape, however the link to the application is not present. Is there a wat to launch it? Or a way to add the link?
With ADWLauncher or Launcher pro press an empty place on the screen - "add Personalized Icon" - "Activities" - Browse to Music

I would like to stay with the stock home. Is there a way to launch Music without a replacement home?
BetterCut can do that too
Cool, I don't have to use AdvancedHome, it's enough to have it installed and I can add shortcuts to activities on the stock home!

I want to put a picture on my homescreen with desktop visualizer.

Anyone else have the same problem?
Hope you can help me.

hmm noone can try?
its just 2 clicks...
Sorry man, I think it must be too early for me cos I don't understand what you mean

i want this:
hxxp://d339vfjsz5zott.cloudfront.net/57_Contact-Badge/Contact-Badge_Preview.png
(switch xx to tt)
menu on the homescreen.
i want an icon on which i click and then it shows me the menu to send sms/call/mail a person in my contactlist
On 2.1, this works. For instance, go to most recent call's. That is left under in default configuration. Then click once on the picture of a contact. This should now open the menu.

Well, this can be done with the 'people widget' included in launcher pro plus.
It's the best purchase I have done, and no, this is no advertising!
my problem ist, that i want to customize the icon with desktop visualizer.
i dont like the look of this one.
I figured out how to remove the useless dock icons from Launcher Pro, it's a little bit of a workaround, but it works...and I love me some LauncherPro
1. Make a backup of a launcher pro home screen from another android device, without any dock icons or with the ones you want.
2. Copy the "/sdcard/launcherpro_backup" directory from your other device onto your Nook Color (into the same place on the SD card), and restore launcher pro from the backup. (I used Astro to do all the dirty work)
Here is a zipped backup of my blank launcher pro setup (no dock icons, no widgets, no nothing):
dl.dropbox.com/u/5532080/launcherprocleanbackup.zip
(I can't make links yet, so just copy/paste the URL...)

Thanks for adding the link, soon I will be able to...I've spent far too long as a lurker...
You Sir are a genius; thanks for this that was starting to bother me with that damned useless phone icon
did this, but now when I go to re-add my shortcuts to the homescreen, only the icons get added, not the text under them...

Isn't there an option in preferences to hide icon names? Could it be checked?

Yes, the checkbox is at Preferences > Appearance Settings > Hide Icon Labels.
Not a genius...just stuck in my ways. Launcher Pro has always been the fastest one out there!
Thanks, though!

Yep...sorry about that. I am kind of a minimalist, so hiding the home screen labels is my default. Thanks for pointing out where it was in the settings.

So after i restore to blank can i add new shortcuts in the dock. I long press and tap add shortcut and it just brings up the honescreen again.
Can't add shortcuts on NC. BN cripped that functionality.

You can't, unless you have access to another device that you can use to make a backup with the correct shortcuts that you want to use.
I was considering making one with a couple of actually useful shortcuts for the Nook Color...but I am afraid that there would be a flood of requests, and there are more important things that need work for me.
If anyone would want to step up and offer that, I'm sure there would be some happy customers!

I may be misunderstanding, but I can add shortcuts to the home screen (launcher pro) by going to the app page and holding down the app icon until it jumps back to the home screen. I can't move them to the dock at the bottom of the page, tho.
rooted with auto-nooter 2.12.18. BTW, thanks!
Here is my back up with market, gmail, estrongs file explorer, and internet.
Is it just a question of hand editing the com.fede.launcher_preferences.xml file?

edit: I hope this is the right one and not an older backup

Thanks for this, might as well get rid of the icons we cant even use!!

So as this works great... as in I load up launcher pro on my Epic 4G, change all icons to what apps are on nook color that I want down on the 3 sliding bars, backup and then restore to nook. Kinda a pain to do that more than once
I loaded Launcher Pro 0.8.2 onto the nook color running 2.2.1 via MicroSD card and it works great. Not a single lockup resizing things, and can add, remove and customize any of the icons in dock all I want. Here is a youtube of that.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ra8xROjFpY4
So I guess that is just another one of those things that just won't work like it should via a hacked up 2.1 on these things? I would love to have that workin... As like the other guy says... I love me some launcher pro. Just not sure if I should give up hope and just wait for some legit Froyo action for things to be all purdy.
Other than having to convert videos for this thing so far and having to use Zeam which I actually am starting to like, these Nook Colors are awesome! Can't beat a tablet with this power and this screen for $250!
Is it possible to add new shortcuts to this app ? Let my try to explain my request. On the bottom of the screen I have shortcut to my messaging system and when I click it my standard messaging app starts but I would like that it starts chompSMS instead of standard app. So if someone could help.

Yeah, press and hold on the messaging button and wait till it lets you change it to another app then select the icon you want.
But when I do that it offers me just few shortcuts and there is no shortcut for chompSMS

no, I didnt. I got it now. Thank you very much
and is it possible to change language of launcher ?
Yeah, you can change it in the settings, they're still adding new languages all the time.
Where can I change the language in launcher pro, I didn't find the menu.

I didnt find in the preferences menu language option neither.
I think maybe I'm trying to defeat the purpose of Themer, but I'm not sure. A lot of the themes I like have a tab or screen or something for music. I'd rather have that be navigation or something like that. So the one I'm working with right now is called Bookmarks. The last page has a headphone for the icon and the actual screen says Music. Is it possible to edit this?
Also, is there any place to download the theme to my computer so I can play with it there before loading on to my phone?
Thanks!

Hi there,
Themer is in essence a launcher. So much like the other top launchers out there, you are able to add/edit/move widgets and so forth. Regarding this theme, unfortunately the music icon on the tab can't be changed (it's baked into the wallpaper), but you could always just place another icon over it if you wanted.
So, in order to edit/move widgets, it's very simple. Hold down on the homescreen > Unlock Widgets, now hold down on the music player widget and select Remove. However, this will remove the "hotspots" that enable you to jump from screen to screen. So another way would be to hold down on the music widget > Configure, this will open the Everything Widget editor. From here, select a music item > Music (at the bottom) > Delete object. Repeat this for all the music items, then press back to exit the editor.
Next, hold down on the homescreen at the very top > Apps > Widgets tab > your navigation widget (or app icon), which you can then drag and drop onto the blank area. Now you can hold down on the widget and select resize to make any adjustments, and once everything looks good you can hold down on the top again and select > Lock Widgets.
Unfortunately you can only see the Themer themes on the app, but we might expand on that in the future...
Hope this helps!:fingers-crossed:

Thanks for the reply! I'd LOVE to be able to see it on my computer. It would be a lot easier to move things around without having to fat finger it!

How do you get the wallpaper from the theme to PS?
It's easy to change the text/icon and you can replace any "hotspot" to point to a new app.
Larger wholesale changes to screens are a bit tougher.

Ok, I did as was instructed to remove the music. If I'm on the home tab, I can still hit the tab for weather. But if I'm on the 'music' tab, I can no longer move to another app. How do I make a hot spot to be able to go to other tabs from music?
to edit via photoshop grab the paper from the themer folder for the theme you are using, add it to photoshop grab the full image then create new image same size, copy original pic to new photoshop pic then simply edit as required and save when finished, sounds easy I know but if you are familiar with photoshop it is easy

Did you delete the widget? That would've removed all the hotspots (only way to fix this is to re-apply the theme, for now). Apologies if I didn't explain well enough, but deleting only the music items should leave the hotspots on the left intact. Hope this helps
Hi all,
I have tired using an app like Aycon
and a dozen similar apps to create a shortcut with a custom icon to start an action (Automate flow, similar to tasker...)
anyway this has worked wonderfully in the past but with poco launcher it says it added a shortcut to home screen but it does not appear...
a workaround for now is I use KWGT custom 1x1 Widget...
but it does not have a text under it like a shortcut + you can't put it in a folder.
anyone else experienced this bug?
other workarounds? (except switching launchers...)
I suggest reporting this bug via Settings-User feedback.
Take a look at KWLP in Playstore

As I said I used KWGT to make a 1x1 widget, I can live without text.
My real problem is customizing a shortcut which I will push into a folder afterwards...
Live wallpaper holding the shortcut doesn't help here.
Right now I'm stuck with Automate's default ugly Icon because... it does let me create shortcuts and it works... but no way to tweak the icon =\
