Hi all,
Since Dell finally has a decent official release, I have created my black notification bar for build 12821. Reboot into clockwork and apply FroyoOfficialBlackicons.zip or FroyoOfficialBlack.zip. FroyoOfficialblack.zip is untouched icons with just black notification bar. Icons uses Dj Steve's 1.4.6 Froyo icons.
screenshot http://yfrog.com/j6screenshot1fcgp
Also want to note that the official rom will wipe out clockwork recovery. So you must flash the zip immediately after flashing clockwork. Lastly, this was a huge pain in the ass to make. enjoy
Bugs
None!
Just installed this onto my 318 and its awesome dude! Thanks!!
All I need now is a black theme that has the round sectored battery icon that has the percentage in the middle of it and even a transparent theme with this battery.
Can I flash another mod on top of this that changes the battery icon or would I need a theme that has all the changes in it?

Thank for your interest! If the battery mod you would flash changes anything in framework-res.apk you will lose the black bar. I will look into making a version with the battery percentage. The transparent theme will be posted shortly.
Cool! Thanks again dude!!

Just please the installation instructions for the absolute amateur.

Build: 12821
It's the latest Clockwork
I am rooted via S1Click v1.5.5
Whats the dilly?
Thanks.
This froze up my Streak 30min after Clockwork started rebooting, I was stuck at the Dell boot screen.
Any fixes? A few times screen would flash to a blank homescreen with a black notification bar. I'm running DJ Steve's Froyo. And now my Streak doesn't work.

That's because this is for the Official Dell Froyo. A few posts up says there is a thread with the version of this for DJ Steve's ROM.

Looks like "Beautiful Widgets".

- Removed Carrier text
- Gingerbread theme with white text on black background
- different lock screen battery meter
- gingerbreadish unread count circle in green and not in red.
- If it doesn't flash chances are it is the services.odex. Let me know, i can upload a zip of just the framework, from there you can edit your own services.odex.
tried to install it, but it didn‘t work.
but to be honest I‘m not sure, if I installed clockworkmod correctly. simply tapped on the zip file in the download folder and rom manager prompted for the cache options and then rebooted, but just a normal reboot and no cwm there.
my streak is running 351, rooted.
what do i have to do?
is there a gingerkrad-version available with b/w icons insteaf of green?
appreciate your help.
cheers,
marc

can you tell me how to install this onto Dell Streak?
Thanks a lot
i tried replacing in root explorer and got stuck on boot .......maybe services.odex
update: okay today I tried with streak recovery and it worked flawless thanks alot krad .........it would be awesome if the pull down menu was transparent
I applied zip with streakdroidrecovery I work fine. Thanks !
Thanks mate, works great with StreakMod Recovery after installing .351.
But I have one other request, can you also enable it to work on DPIs higher than 200 (HDPI I guess it is). Because I currently have my DPI set to 200 and it will not work...
Works and looks great on rooted (Gingerbreak) stock 351 ROM.
Thanks, Krad!
Not sure if I can... when it intialialy goes through the kitchen the xml files get changed... by default graphics come. Out of the mdpi section or crappy section.. when kitchen js run it alters just thr battery graphics to the hdpi folder. So it is a combination of both. Haven't spent the time to look through the xml files because I altered everything so far the way I like it.

GingerKrad for 354
Dear Sir
Will you release GingerKrad for 354???
Thanks a lot~
just borked my phone loading streakdroid 2.0... Seems like a good starter build, but the graphics and random reboots has killed me.
I am just flashing 354 now... I will probably get sick of the stock look and redo gingerkrad for 354.. depends really on the build. Will give it a day or two.
Thank you
StreakDroid 2.0 did not run stable, waiting for your theme
Thank you so much~

Hello,
I'm really new to rooting and customizing this so I was wondering if to install a new theme, I had to uninstall it? If so, how? And if not, do I just flash another theme in recovery mode?
I'm currently using this, Blue Myst v1.0 and I want to check out other themes.
Any help is appreciated!
Thank you!
EDIT: Also, how do I add more home screens to themes? MotoBlur had 7, and when I flashed GingerBlur, the default theme for that had it as well. But this theme only has 3 home screens.
Blehh, I managed to make this work but only the theme updates, the UI or buttons don't update. The notifications bar on the top updates and the boot screen updates but everything else is the same.
I installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1042365 this theme with Blue Myst still installed. Whenever I uninstall LauncherPro it'd go to the MotoBlur UI but have the same notifications bar but when I reinstall it, it changes to another UI that's not either theme's.
So basically my problem is, when I install a theme, only the Notifications bar and the boot screen update but everything else stays the same.
What's my problem?....
U realise v2 is out which should be flashed via cwm?

- In step 1 use vzw eb01 instead of dl09
- No need for step 2 just flash eb01 and reboot fully
-In step 3 pull batt and odin cwr 3-30 fix all (instead of jts blue one) and immediately do step 4...
-do step 4 the same as you did..wipe data/cache/delvik
-install cm7 build date 7/4 and reboot
That will get you running on cm7...from there you can install mtd kernel of choice (if you want something different then the one thats comes with, it) gapps, and/or the newest cm7 build..do not wipe here to go to the newest build but make sure you only use the recovery that came with cm7 by accessing it via the power button menu, or terminal emulator...reboot recovery...no three finger booting recovery from here out.the cm7 recovery will also be blue..you only odin the 3_30 fix all to get the cm7 build on your phone do after that first time seeing red recovery after you're on cm7 it will be blue from there on.
-odin desired radio.

well apparently, there seems to be no links to the earlier versions of cm7 and the only thing is the latest cm7 with blue recovery from jt's site can..... i really want to try CM7 geez im missing out...
You can just install the latest CM7 following the same steps the previous poster gave you. No need to install 7/4. Install 7/17 then 7/18 update.

The Latest build should still work just try flashing it with the 3-30 recovery
here is a link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=942021
Scroll down to the .tar file and download it..odin it and three finger boot into recovery wipe everything and flash the newest cm7 build and reboot...once on cm7 don't three finger boot anymore.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
When you odin, did you tick the re-partition box? Also you need to use one of the tar balls in the sticky about moving from cm7 to another rom. I know you're not going from cm7 but the tar balls still apply to this situation.

I also had problems installing cm7 at first so what I did was installed latest miui.us build first which gave me blue cwm and converted all my files. Then flashed cm7 with no probs. This worked for me.
Sent from my I500 using XDA App
well tell me the instructions not just say "install miui" obviously i dont know how to do give me the steps!
Sorry, I had stock 2.2 eb01 (edo3/4 should work) to start. Then I used odin and flashed cwm-all (2.x.x or something) / three button boot to get to recovery/ wipe data/cache/flash super user zip/reboot/power off and back to odin/flash cwm-all again/three button boot/wipe data/cache/dalvik/flash latest miui . At this point it should reboot (cyanogen logo) then back to recovery and automatically install/reboot recovery/flash cm7 11.1. But like I said this worked for me, for some reason miui installed perfect like any other rom and not cm7. Sorry if this doesn't help.

Anything using the 1.13.xxx (latest OTA) base for their ROM. Read the OP of the ROM and it should state the base they are using.

It is because the icons are linked to the framework-res.apk. I would need the framework-res.apk and the com.htc.resources.apk from the ROM you are using to fix it for you.

If you are connected to the computer via USB, then you may get that error. When testing, I used the command adb reboot recovery to get into recovery, pulled the USB cord from the phone, waited a minute or so and flashed fine.
Initially, I was getting the same error when I created them. It was due to the mounting of the data partition, not the system partition. My best guess is that when USB is connected to the phone, the phone unmounts the data and system partition automatically, so in my updater-script, the first thing it does is mount those two partitions. If it can't, you will get that error. I would try flashing it again without being connected to USB and let me know.

The phone was not plugged in. I was able to get it to flash by mounting the system(or data, can't remember which one it was and don't have my phone in front of me). After it booted up I had no icons or top bar. I rebooted and they still didn't come.
Needed to reflash my Rom to get my top bar back. Using Vipers latest Rom. Any idea's?

Could be the framework-res.apk or the com.htc.resources.apk has changed in Vipers ROM. Are you running the Deodex or ODEX version....these were created using the ODEXED version of the Stock Sprint ROM using that framework-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk as the base.
On my HTC I finished Installing a new battery Icon (Glowing Crysis). Anyways I forgot to empty the cache before installing it and when I reboot I found myself in a little bug but not really bad. When I go to quick settings if a setting (for example Wi-Fi) is on instead of saying on it says Javascript and if it's off it says "Navigate Away from this page?". Basically it has all the text all messed up and in the market the Search bar has the backround to be one of the Glowing Crysis battery icons (Which led me to believe that the installation that caused the problem). Is there any way I can fix the problem without having to reinstall my rom? Btw the Rom I use is ViperRom.

Was the battery mod you installed a framework-res.apk? What other files did it come with? Those could easily mess up Quick Settings.
