There's a lot of talk about the gtab being $349.98 at Sears for Friday/Saturday but I also thought I would mention that they have the case, from Viewsonic, for $5.99. And I'm talking about the actual viewsonic labeled case (that's really case logic). I just picked one up.

That case is ok....But dont put it near you or sniff for to long, because the smell of fumes will knock you out.

I ordered the case online for $6, and picked it up at the store to avoid shipping. I was quite impressed. They call it the holiday case, but it is an official case for the tablet and it is made by case logic. It's quite a deal for $6. The best price I had seen for something similar was at Sams Club for $10.
I cut a piece of coraplast (corregated plastic) the size of the G tab. Then added a piece of sticky backed 3/32" foam to one side. It makes thecase more protective and cushions it. Total cost $2.00. Insert this into the sears soft case and you have an inexpensive solution.

Nice.... well I paid 29 for this case in December at office depot. I paid more darn it... but it does do the job for the Gtab.
The Sears case is good to prevent scratces but a little thin for my taste to selecting something more firmer like a portfolio...

I just bought the g tab case on clearance at Sears for 5.99. Sorry but no pictures. The case is branded for the g tablet and is from viewsonic

Mine stunk sooooo bad I had to throw it out. It gave me such a headache. It wasn't worth taking it back for six bucks.

Oh yes. The smell was worse after I washed it. I even used fabric softener that had perfume in it. I couldn't stand the combination of the two smells anymore.

Yep... mine smells bad too...
I washed mine in the sink with Dawn dish soap (loads of it) rinsed it out and set it out in the sun to dry. This process took about 25% of the smell out. So I did it again and got maybe another 25% out. Finally I just put it in my front loader washing machine by itself on delicate (Hot/Cold) Set it out in the sun again and got about another 25% of the smell out.
So now it can be in my car or next to me on my desk and I can't smell it at all. But if you put your nose up to it... well.. it's still there.
I purchased a Kensington 10" netbook sleeve and it fits the gtablet great!

i bought the same case for my Archos 101 and it doesnt stink. Wish the case was more firm but it is enough to protect the screen.
I have essentially the same case on my iPad and never had an issue with any smells. It's great to add a handle, but I still like the protection of a leather case when you're not transporting the thing.

I just received a Malata Zpad T2 protective case,10.1 inch ViewSonic G-tablet Zpad,folwith stand-type protection Kit book free shipping from Ali Express. I think I'll be waiting for the kickstand case from Seido directly. Only real reason I'd go with anything other than an Incipio feather case is the kickstand.
I just bought a Otterbox defender at the Sprint store today. I have no idea why so early. I called there bluff and asked what accessories would be released with the ev3d, and the said they had the commuter, defender, car dock and hdmi. So then I randomly asked if I could buy now? They surprisingly said yes. So here we go!

Looks like the one in picture 2 comes with a holster, can't really tell on the other ones though (by the pictures).
I'll just wait a few weeks until my Seidio cases come in, until then a TPU case from Amazon will keep me happy.

picked up the blue one at a best buy mobile shop in th mall (thursday)
i went in and asked if they had any 3D cases, he went in the back and brought out like 5, well 4 and zagg invisible shields, one was a glossy black TPU by rocketfish and then the one with the holster, then the kickstand one, and a blue one with no holster, I got the blue one. its rather nice, fits rather snug and tight and looks good. but a pain to get off at first since its so tight and snug.
I really only stopped in on a whi since the corporate sprint store i usually go to was being sticlers to the rule of not selling anything early, hell they were amazed I had one already(clueless wonders) and he wouldn't even let me check out what they had...i will be using my $50 sprint giftcard elsewhere.

My GF asked the cashier if she could have BB install the screen protector the following day, since she doesn't have the phone yet. The cashier didn't have an idea, but said to go talk with their mobile expert (who was now hanging around the 3vo accessories.)
We walked over, and my GF asked about installing the protector.The guy went, "Did you already buy that?!" and my GF said, "Ah, yeah?" and he said, "Sh**. You're not allowed to buy those yet." At this point, I pretended that I was just another shopper, and that I didn't know the girl asking the BB employee, so I dropped my case in my pocket, and strolled out of the store.
I met up later with my GF, and she said the employee wasn't at all happy that she bought the case, and wanted them back. We live about 45 minutes away from the store -and this one is the closest one to us-, so my GF was firm with him that he wasn't getting it back.

that happend with me. i went to my local BB and bought a zagg but they didnt have any cases I liked so I called around to other BB and they were like we cant sell till friday and i told them i already bought one from a local BB and they flipped **** on me..demanded the store number and who sold it to me..of course..i just hung up.
Well I'm taking back the Platinum kickstand case from Best Buy.. when the kickstand is out, you can't charge it since the port is now on the bottom.. Guess I'll wait for the other one.

NOT cheaper than Seidio online. Least the Active/Cruiser is not cheaper than Seidio. Seidio shows the Active for 29.95 while BB has the cruiser for 34.99.
The Convert/Covert seem to be the same.
Guess the Holster case is the only one cheaper at BB if it is the same as the Surface combo at Seidio.

EDIT: In fact, judging from the pix and the comments, I would bet the cost of the case that rooCASE is the OEM. In that case (no pun intended), this is a great deal. I paid almost $30 for the rooCASE item and thought that was a good deal. The price on this one almost makes me want to grab one as a spare.

No, this one doesn't fit the dock. I keep the tab in this and the dock in an $8 Case Logic netbook sleeve from Amazon. Works great.

Just got my case today. I have to say its just as high quality as the AYL case I just got last week. And strangely enough I got the exact same letter inside my packaging as with the AYL, basically stating that if you leave a review then they will refund your purchase. Got to say I'm pretty happy. Thats 2 cases for ZERO dollars all for writing what I was going to write anyway.
As for the case itself I am very satisfied. It is a bit thick but the stand mechanism works great. The case stands up with the use of velcro on the bottom of the screen that sticks to the front flap of the case. It holds very well and works great at any angle. The leather is real and very high quality, however the magnet closure could be a bit better. All in all a fantastic case whether you pay 50 dollars or 0 dollars for it.

I was going to get that, but when I saw that the buttons were covered, that was my stopping point. I don't see why they couldn't put provisions in for the buttons. Plus, the price was a bit much.
Hi again. Yup...the buttons are indeed covered, but have you noticed the +/- signs for the volume? I guess on the other side there must be a "O" for the power sign.
The question stands though, could we click on the buttons easily through the plastic cover?

I have the Tasume. The button's aren't as easy to hit as when out of the case, but it isn't bad. The power buttion isn't covered by the case as it's on the side you slide it into the case. The stand up in any direction feature is really slick imho, and the reason I bought it.
There is no hole for the mic. I didn't care as a I have yet to use it and I figure some scissors or a lighter and a needle can fix that easily enough.
The major problem I have with it is that it is smooth and therefore a little slippery. A slippery case half defeats the purpose of a case. It does have a little bump on the back from the flap the holds the device in and I've almost trained myself to automatically hold it by the bump, so that's not as big a deal as it was when I got it, but still hardly ideal.

I have this case. I had looked for a case that would also hold the tablet in portrait and landscape, but at the time, there was not much to choose from.
My main interest would be for landscape to watch movies. In portrait, I am usually reading or using a browser so holding it is fine.
I found that if I move the elastic strap into a position it really should not go, the case works perfectly and supports landscape at almost any angle.
Not sure how long the elastic will hold out, but after 2 months it seems to holding up fine so far.

This is what it looks like. It's a silicon cover with black plastic that fits over the back. The belt clip swivels. The belt attachment has a velvet feeling front to help protect the screen against scratches. It's too hard to tell exactly how this will be when the phone installed but my first guess is that you will need to slide the phone in from the top or side depending on how you have it positioned. It doesn't appear to clip in like some other ballistic style cases. There were no screen protecters in the package. Amazon now has this for $1.95 w/ Prime. I think for the price it's worth every penny.

I paid $5.95 for it and it arrived last night. While I was looking for the Amazon link to post on this thread I noticed the price was $1.95. Amazon refunded me the $4 difference so I bought another one. I'll use one plastic back for some type of mounting for the car and use the other back for everyday carry.

Thanks for that - I ordered it and chose the slow shipping to get a dollar credit towards mp3/books etc. Makes the effective price .95 cents. I ordered a Spigen wallet case already, so don't know if I'll use this, but for that price it's worth checking out.

Yea...I find it laughable that these days Amazon is willing to pay people to wait for delivery of a product.
The Moko will join the other 2 cases I have on hand (thing basic TPU and folding leather wallet with CC holder. 3 cases all for $10 (shipped) with a total MSRP of $80USD+shipping. There are days I love Amazon. Was going to wait to get a Seidio, but with the Moko I don't think I need one. Depends on how secure the holster holds the device.

i have the same case in hand, received monday and love it. i have the same case for my iphone 6 plus and note 3. its perfect, doesnt add a lot of bulk, but the protection and group is awesome

Just bought the case because of this thread. From the pictures looks nice, sleek, and thin, but for $1.95 with prime can't beat that price / deal! Still trying to figure out what I want for a thinner lighter case , kinda looking at the one on google play. Haa so many options!
Just ordered one. Had one for my nexus 5 last year until I got a seido with the belt clip that snaps it. Hate the slide it. But its the only way to protect this phone on the go for me.
