[Q] How to change the SE icons to original android icons? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Is there anyway to change the stock SE icons to other icons?
Can I copy the default apps to the SD card using Root Explorer, and change the icons, and put the apps back to the device without any consequences?
I have a rooted x10 mini.

Would be better if you would search before you create topics but seeing as you have created one this should be useful:

[Q] Installing Fonts

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I cannot seem to find the thread...
My phone is rooted...I'm copying fonts into the system/font folder, but the new fonts are not showing up in the list. I am checking the folder to Mount R/W, so it lets me copy them.
Also, is ther a way for me to get Go Launcher to default to the system font? Anytime I change the system font, I also have to change it in Go Launcher for everything to match.
use app like font changer, font installer, it should works.

Q how to change font and remove home screens

Hello i have an acer iconia tab a210.
With jelly bean ionly use two home screens how can i remove the other.
Also how can i change system font to helvetica.
acer iconia tab a210
Hi,
I have custom rom James Rom 3, and unfortunately didn't find how to add or remove desktops. Did you find the solution? About fonts.. Maybe it is not possible? Also as I know system fonts possible to change only via adb shell, of course, if you have appropriate font..
Download an app called "font changer" , Open the app, It already has helvetica in it so apply it To add fonts, Copy your font of choice to the ".fontchanger" folder on your memory card , open the app, Once the application is open, it will automatically add the font of your choice into its list of fonts available. :victory:

[Q] Installing new fonts

I tried installing a new flip font apk on the phone but it is not showing on the list of fonts to change it to. Is there something I am missing to get this to work? Thanks

Let me clarify:
You installed a font changing .apk, and can't find it in the system settings>display>font type?
If that is the case, it wouldn't show up there because the .apk you installed should be in your app drawer, you would use that app the change your fonts instead of the system menu.
Or you put a font .ttf/.otf in the system/font folder and it doesn't show in the list?
If it is this one, I have a bunch in that folder that don't show up in the list either, it seems it only picks the stock fonts to display.
If you have tried using the font changing .apk to change the font and it isn't working, my guess is because LG lets you choose between multiple fonts it isn't using the default Android system font name (I don't remember the name off the top of my head) but instead using one of the custom font names.
If you want to change it yourself, you could try to replace the font you currently have the settings set to in the system/font folder with one of your choice (rename the stock font with a .bak at the end and rename the new font the same name as the old font, then make sure it is the same font your settings are set to).
All this is just speculation though, LG may have implemented the custom fonts differently, but I know they are in that system/font folder, so I think it could work. This is assuming you are rooted of course.
does anyone have detailed information about showing custom fonts in native font menu

Getting rid of the ugly EMUI icons ?

Everything as been said, is there a way to remove those EMUI icons and just use the stock android ones, like on the Google Pixel ? Without using a theme if possible.
Regards,
Safe
I believe using a theme or another launcher (Nova) is the only way. You can probably find a theme that only changes the icons. Might take a little while as the phone is still new.

You can change the theme to the following:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/themes/theme-pixel-dusk-classic-theme-emui-5-t3567731
From the theme you can customize and pick the icons from the above theme which need to put into the internal memory /Huawei/Themes folder. If your phone is rooted, this will not work. You need to create a folder "themes" in system and put the hwt file in this folder. Remember to change the folder permission to 755 and the file to 644 before it can work.

Didn't want to use a theme at first but this was pretty straightforward and did the job just fine.
Thank you very much.

Try Emui Themes Factory. Loads of nice themes there. Or just use Nova Launcher.
