Hello,
First of all, sorry for my bad English, I am French.
I have a HTC HD2 blocked on a phone operator (Orange)
I bought an unlock code (20€) on this web site (unlock-phone-htc.com) and after 92h, no answer, no contact.
Anybody knows this site? Is it a swindle?
I need help.. I want to get back my money or to have this unlock code.
If there is a method to unlock my phone for free, i take !
Thank for helping
PeillY0u
No way to do it for free sadly.
you need to chase up the site for a refund, but check you gave them the correct imei, if not its your own fault and no refund.
also chech around here there are a few recommended sites, just look harder (try the search option it works well )
But even if I gave a bad IMEI, it is not normal that I have no news ! And effectively they asks only once the EMEI number and typing error is easily made :/
I would personnally never want to give my IMEI to anyone. With all those IMEI scams floating around.. Never give ur IMEI. Unless possibly to ur phone provider or the police. Seriously though, why pay 20 euros on a website, that has high chances to be a scam, rather than bring it in a shop where you know the guy will not dissapear... It also costs 20 euros to do it in shops, so.. its not about saving money, is it?
Anyways, check ur spams, ask the website, annoy them. Try and leave comments that u get no answer, and try and discourage future people wanting to buy from this site to get scammed

Attention !!!! XDA II is in the list of phones he is supposed able to unlock !!! , and he ask people to send their phones to be unlock ...Good Greaf ! I'll never send my phone !!! people are not going to have them back !!!
I see nothing wrong with that. I've charged my clients for my time to upgrade their devices and unlock them, same as I've done for phones before the PPC. There are a lot of phone unlocking services out there.
This guy is doing it cheap though, I'd charge more.
its a shame everytime i start a new thread, its usually about mishaps. i have only been lucky with my still kicking HTC TYTN. i luv and respect u a lot. anyway, just paid £300 for a brand new Ameo(HTC ADVANTAGE) yesterday. and just this morning, its been BARRED. tried ringing the seller, but i guess he know he pulled a fast one and his phone number is unreachable. i love the handset still. if anyone is interested in buying pls PM me. never buy a phone off anyone on gumtree. there are all dodgy.Tmobile Customer service has been quite helpful and they did say the will be waiting for the man to make an insurance claim before they deal with him.its a shame they wouldnt gimme back my money. i am guessing this phone wouldnt work in UK.
take out the sim and then change the imei number then put a different sim back in. it should would work

That won't work, the Ameo uses completely unsupported hardware unless I'm mistaken. I hate scumbags like that and I'm sorry to hear of your plight.
My Ameo's on Ebay if you wanna buy a cheap one with extras.

Your phone CAN be unblocked by T-Mobile by authority of the owner, so it might be worth coaxing them into putting pressure on this tosser.
[email protected] is your best port of call.
EDIT:
YOU might not be aware, but despite its blocked status you can still use the handset for Internet browsing. Blocked phones are only blocked against using voicecall/SMS functionality.
i think i just bidded on yours.. that is if its on ebay. So, vodafone texts work, and internet works? just calls that dont?

yeap, its the same handset. you can only send txt with Vodafone but not receive. if you make a good sensible offer, i wouldn't mind ending the auction early for you. the only reason i am giving you preference is because we both belong to the same forum. like state b4, it wouldn't make or receive phone calls.
220? or wait til' the auction ends
for £255, we have a deal. its been unlocked with Olipro thingy and its got the official wm6 tmobile rom on it. its ur call mate. am already losing money on it if i sell it for £255. out of curiosity, how do you intend to pay?
Hi guys and gals,i have just orderd me a HTC Mozart. Its locked to orange and i need it for t-mobile.
Does any one know of a reptuable place were i can get it unlocked please.
Thanks
Same question from me.
I know that it may have been answered before, I used search but I can't find something specific, so excuse me for asking.
I have purchased a HTC Mozart from Ebay, brand new but locked to the Orange Network.
As I am currently in Greece, I really need to get it working with my sim. My operator is Cosmote.
So is there a hack to make the phone simlock free? Or is there a place one can buy a code to do this?
And if any, are they to be trusted? Is the sim unlock permanent?
Thanks
Hi all,
I'm an ex-pat who just bought a new phone from the UK, and also need a commercial recommended SIM unlock for a HTC Mozart, (currently UK Orange).
I have searched on here, and google, and the first one I tried at the top of google (htcsimunlock.com) has come back saying IMEI lookup failed, and "do i want to upgrade to a 'Deep search' for extra $15" on top of the $13 I've already paid... sounds like a con to me so I opted for refund (we'll see whether I get it or not).
I'm aware there's dozens on google, but can someone recommend one from personal experience?
Thank you.

Orange UK users can ring orange and they will provide the code for free- can take 2-4 weeks tho! They claim this is because they have to get it from HTC which can take up to 14 days.
recommended company - very quick
I had mine unlocked by mobileunlocked.co.uk.
cost was £21.99 and had the code within an hour. You can pay by paypal so all your credit card details are safe.
I would recommend them.

Hey everyone ... first of all I want to say sorry if this is not the correct place to post this but I really need help. I bought Xperia X10 this morning (found it on Craigslist) and the person I bought it from told me that it will work with my t-mobile even tho its branded with at&t! I believed that person and got home charged the phone because it had less than 2% battery when I bought it ... anyways, its NOT working. It asks for unlock pin for the sim card. I didnt know what to do so I called the ATT people and she said that she is not able to get the code and she also said that I can get the code from ATT After JULY!!! I dont know HOW she came up with that date but I dont think I can wait that long. I have been on the computer ALL day searching for what to do and learned lots of new things lol but I still didnt get it unlocked ... I read there that ROM or custom rom is like a firmware? I think I can do something if someone guides me in right direction .. and I also looked at those websites where they SELL the code for about 40-50 bux and I think its too much cause I already paid so much for the phone so Please some one help me cause Google always guides me to the infamous XDA-Devs forum .... thanks in advance and once again, sorry if this is not suppose to be here! Feel free to PM me with any info that could/would me!!!

wow ... not a single reply? Is anyone alive in this forum??
if i figured out this right u need a PIN code for your SIM card... if u don't know ur pin just buy another phone card and request from att number change and pick ur old number
Those sites are the only ones that unlock it. IM afraid that u will have to go with at&t or pay 50$ to unlock it.
BTW I would whip that ***** that sold u the phone.

I don't know what you mean but from all the searching and whatnot, I think that when I put the T-mobile sim in and it asks for Unlock PIN ... it means that its Locked BY ATT and the only person/people that can unlock is ATT but when I called them and asked to do it ...they asked me for my IMEI# and told me that it wasnt possible to unlock it ... first time I called them they said I could call them back after few months and they could give me the code but second time I tried they said this phone is NOT Unlockable so someone help ME!!!

When you say those sites ... which ones do you mean? Do you know of any that's TRUSTABLE and reliable? because I have read lots of bad stuff about HTCCode and CellUnlocker is way too expensive and I don't even know if its reliable.
And yes I wish I could whip that ***** but I got the phone for a good deal and I don't think that I will ever see her again lol
All the ROM flashing, unbranding, and rooting procedures out there should never be able to unlock the SIM for you.
AT&T makes you wait several months after the purchase of their phones before they provide unlock codes for them. That's their policy.
If you want to go with a paid service, some have had luck with a place like FastGSM (www.fastgsm.com/en), so you can always check that out. Paid services usually charge something between $30 and $50 (U.S.D.).
There is supposedly a simlock calculator application for Windows out there that works for HTC and Sony Ericsson phones (http://youtu.be/DsBKpTLZMrA). If you're willing to risk going through the hoops in order to try downloading the .EXE, you can try it out (http://simlockcalculators.net78.net/?p=24). Just be sure to use an email account you don't care about and anti-virus scan the heck out of any downloaded files afterwards.
The davinci team is good too

Hmm FastGsm kinda looks legit so I will snoop around there but that Calc is FAKE lol i tried it about a day ago or so and it made me waste one of my tries but thnx for tryin tho!
OK just letting everyone know that I got my phone unlocked .... I used Unlocking.com and it took exactly a week and 30 dollars so ya. Thanks for trying to help everyone!
wouldnt flashing any new generic firmware gett rid of anything ATT on the phone?
I was told "NO". You cant do anything with sim lock other than pay for the code and get it ... no other way around it.
Dear XDA fellows,
i requested a provider unlock code for my simlocked samsung s2
Unfortunately the code does not work at all.
Now i wonder why,
i have rooted the phone with the old ICS and used the galaxy s unlock app on it to use other providers cards.
A few months later (now) i updated Android to 4.12 and tried to use the provider unlock code on it but it did not work.
Rooted the phone again and tried various unlock apps, but none of them work.
Now i wonder why the phone has become so defiant to my attempts to unlock it, after all i treated it good for all the time that i used it.
Maybe someone has any suggestions on how to unlock the phone after all?
IMEI blocked
Hello Everyone,
I don't know if this is the right place to post my issue. Briefly.... After having a Samsung Galaxy s II, GT-I9100, with a contract in Italy (VODAFONE), having paid the phone in full, suddenly after two years, I decide to close contract,
The Vodafone bastards tell me that I must pay 380.00 € (threehundredeigthy) because of some invoices. This obviously according to them. I always paid everything. I refuse to pay this sum and open a controversy with them demonstrating with facts and papers at hand that it is not right I pay this amount. Anyway, after a week, they block my IMEI.
I think this is absurd. I PAID THE PHONE IN FULL!!! They want 380.00 € of telephone calls related to the SIM card. I don't want to pay this money. The phone is no brand.
I went to a lawyer, and he told me it's not worth the hassle to go to court for such sum.
What I want to know is:
Why should I have a phone that doesn't work after I have paid for it?
You need to contact a guy called "gaston" on here.
He works for vodafone italy in the customer service dept.

If they IMEI block the phone, you're boned. Nothing anyone here can do to help. If they block it, the phone is blocked at the carriers end & in many countries on all networks in that country.
And further talk about changing the IMEI will likely see the thread closed, given this is illegal in most countries & talk of same is against XDA rules. Go see a local mobile repair shop, some might be able to 'help'.

I've asked for help..If you come up with "What should we care", then I guess you shouldn't care of anything and not be on the site. I think this site other than an educational point of view, can also offer expertise and technical assistence as it is a really important internet forum. I really don't understand your rude answer..honestly it has no sense or help to me.
Why should he care.....hes not getting paid. You are involved in a civil dispute with vodafone or whoever,so this isnt the carriers complaints dept.
Then you start talking about an illegal method to help you out which is against xda rules.
So dont pay then, sell the phone and use the money towards buying another phone.Make sure it isnt a vodafone one......lol

Go on Ebay and look for faulty phones. Basically ones with broken screens. Stay away from water damaged ones and ones with the same problem you are having. Once you get it, you could swap out the motherboards and sell yours on Ebay. Sell yours outside of the country as it might work. This would be the easy way. It might cost you about 50 bucks but you could sell your motherboard and make it back.
Remember Google is your friend for changing IMEI. I would choose the option above.

I just have 1 technical question: if i get a ****ty alcatel phone i have home and get my imei blocked samsung galaxy s2. CAN I TAKE THE ALCATELS IMEI E SHOVE IT IN THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S2?
I DON'T THINK IT IS ILLEGAL TO TRY TO HAVE A PHONE I PAID FOR WORK.,
I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF IT IS POSSIBLE.
And which part of changing an IMEI is both illegal, and more importantly, discussion of same is against XDA rules aren't you clever enough to understand ? I've reported this thread, hopefully your posts are removed (because the OP had legitimate queries about unlocking it until you hijacked it).

I'm really sorry if I caused any sort of trouble to any member of the forum. Honestly it was the last of my intents. I will obviously put a stop to my curiosity, thoughts & problems regarding the IMEI related issue to avoid any sort of problems. Sorry once again.
Regardless of the circumstances changing the IMEI, discussing how to change the IMEI, and I believe in the UK even possessing tools capable of doing so, is all illegal and can get the site in trouble. This is an issue you would need to take up with your local representative or vodaphone and should not be discussed in anyway here.
This is non-negotiable.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
