Is there any way to remove application icon in SE stock launcher without uninstalling the application?
The Titanium Backup donate version can do this: http://matrixrewriter.com/android/
Don't have the donate version, so can't confirm that

hi everyone!
how can i remove some unuseful icons from menu on x10 mini 2.1?
thnx
You need to root your phone and uninstall the unwanted apps. Another way is to install a launcher that let you hide the icons.
ok i rooted my phone, but how can i uninstal all those apps?? should i install something else or just rooting is enough?? (i just install z4root from market)
please help
thnx a lot!
You can uninstall unwanted apps using Titanium Backup. I you don't want to uninstall, you can use an alternative homescreen like Launcher Pro to hide unwanted crap from app drawer
As the title says i tried every way i even deleted the apk with root explorer but every time i'm trying to install the plus ver says "application not installed"
i tried via adb but it keep saying "app already Exsists"
what should i do??
Try installing the normal version then unlocking it with your key.
You can uninstall it using Titanium Backup (I have just uninstalled it from the lite version in favour of ADW).
edit: sorry after rereading I think Ive misunderstood the original question!
Firstly : Extract the light version and you will get two folders and one file.
Second : Go to system folder -> apps
Third : Find launcherpro apk and delete it. Replace it with ADW launcher
Fourth : Zip it back and use recovery menu to reinstall the ROM again
Fifth : You will get ADW launcher instead of launcherpro
Six : Install launcherpro plus and uninstall ADW.
Or
Install ADW launcher from the market
Delete launcherpro
Reboot your phone (Important)
Go to setting > application > Manage application > Delete launcherpro
Install launcherpro plus

Has anybody tried to removed the stock launcher already ?
I'm running Go Launcher and want to remove all software that is no longer necessary .
Yes, but I always have a spare launcher (zeam) in case one crashes, saves a lot of hassle! Removing tw hasn't caused me any problems

Click to collapse
You can remove it. Then go launcher will be your default launcher.
Just do not remove go launcher else your phone wont boot.
You can remove it by either some sort of debloater or use titanium backup pro uninstall.
Hi guys,
I'm using a Huawei P9 with firmware EVA-L09C432B386 and I'm trying to convert Apex/Nova launcher to system app. It's because the phone wouldn't allow you to use certain widgets such as weather on third party launcher.
I moved both Apex and Nova folder from /data/app to /system/app and change the permission to Owner RW/Group R/Other R. But after rebooting the phone, the already installed launcher apps were missing. I couldn't find them in the drawer or "Settings - Apps" but only in the /system/app folder, however I couldn't launch or install them from the folder anyway.
Then I tried to use Titanium Backup to convert them to system apps, it just stuck in the "processing" forever. So I shut down the Titanium and reboot the phone, then go into the /system/app folder and there's an launcher apk there, I installed it but it just couldn't function properly.
Do you guys know any other way to convert them to system app, or what I did wrong in the process? Any input would be appreciated.
Ever wonder why no custom ROMs use said launchers as default? Coz you can't.
