I was looking for a good camera app for atrix. I think the stock gingerbread camera app from Motorola don't make the best use of 5MP Camera. I've used Camera Zoom FX but it doesn't cover the full screen. The photos are a bit small.
Which camera app do you reccomend for taking best pictures?
no app, get the droid 3 cam
How to get that? & How to install that? Any help?
what rom are you using?

Stock Gingerbread (2.3.4) from Motorola. Rooted.
Yes, the DROID 3 cam is the best, got it with the Darkside ROM.
Zoom Camera FX. Better than any other camera, including the droid 3 camera, imo. Smoother and longer zoom (13x), more flash modes (auto, on, and flashlight mode for video recording or to see what your pic will look like with flash before you take it), more scene modes, the ability to clap or shout and have a picture taken (as well as timed modes and steady shot mode), and better autofocus options make it hands-down the best camera app I've used, and I've tried all of them. That's not even taking into account all the awesome effects you can do with it. You can either shoot a pic and apply effects later, or set the effects and see them real-time before you take the pic.
*I am in no way affiliated with this app and have nothing to gain by recommending it.

This is true. Zoom Camera FX ! I use it since I got my ATRIX in March. Since than they always made a lot of nice improvements on the application, the gui for example. I use the paid version and I really can recommend it.
And I like Paper Camera for special effects.
And what is the best?
Miui, Droid 3, Camera FX...
Greatings

I was complaining about Camera Zoom FX because it wasn't taking pictures full of my screen's phone! But that was in the settings! I chose Widescreen & now everything is perfect! Very happy with Camera Zoom FX. It took photos so crisper, smoother & perfect!
I use the paid version & the latest version is 3.2.1
Do the apps recommended in this thread also include 720p video recording?

I like Camera Zoom FX, but is the quality really better than the MIUI camera? FX has more customization options, but MIUI camera--to me--seems to take a better picture. Thoughts?

I tried MIUI Camera & played it with 2 days. But Camera Zoom FX really take better pictures than MIUI. I've tried same picture with both of them. Camera Zoom FX takes crisper image than all of the others.
Besides, taking photos with volume down button is a huge plus point for me. Camera with physical button really enhance the possibility to take better pictures. Tap anywhere to capture is another very wanted feature by me.
Is there a way to find a flashable addon for the Droid 3 or MIUI camera? or at least an apk. Thanks
Also how do you set the save location for MIUI camera? Its already preloaded in MROM so Im currently using it.
Hi friends,as all know our loved SGA camera can take great photos.I appeal you to post here some good pics here.
how did you make that focus on that object and blur on background? what camera app did you use and settings?
i use Snap fx camera app.Using that camera if you take closeup, the background will be blurred.
Some of my reading implies that there are third party camera apps that provide higher quality images than the Mororola app. I have played around with FX Camera Zoom and it seems to be OK. In this forum's august opinion, what is the best camera app for the highest quality images ?
The second question is: can the camera shutter button default be changed to default to another app?
I only use FxCamera and I love it. The only good/bad is manual upload to FB or Google, but I'm cool with that. The real reason I switched is the timer as I did not have many pictures of myself!
As for your second question, no clue! sorry!

I like procapture. To get the full 8mp youll need the paid version though. And no, the camera button mapping is built into the kernel itself. A third party app wont change it.

Camera Zoom FX I find the images and the options to be far superior to the stock app.
I use Camera Zoom FX and I use more Camera 360 Ultimate.

Camera 360 does have nice hdr options
Try Vignette as a camera app.
Try Autodesk's Pixlr o matic or Instagram for post processing.
I've looked around in the stock cam app. I did find mulit view but it is just split screen. Im looking for a pip front and rear cam photo option that samsung has like a postcard etc.. I can post a pic if you don't understand.
Can anyone recommend a good app for this, preferably one that has a few options or frames etc.
Thank you.
Hey guys,
since I got my OnePlus 3 and changed to CM13 Rom (Android 6.0.1) the camera isn't that good.
Also the Oxygen Camera isn't the best regarding to the less setting options.
Since I ever wondered which might be the best android camera app I now decided to start this thread.
I've searched for hours and informed me about the topic as good as I could but without any acceptable results.
What do I especially mean with "best camera app"?
It's not those nonsense features like filters or something that I need.
I am searching for a camera app which main feature is really based on taking photos in best quality
and having most possible setting options in order to that.
The best result I found seems to be the Camera FV-5
Do you have camera apps for android which are even better?
Thanks in advance, guys

i simply use candy for selfies
I know this is a bit late, but have you tried Open Camera? It's a great open source camera that has many features to control, such as fixed/auto focus, iso, resolution, timer, burst, white balance, scenes, color effects, shooting in raw, exposure bracketing for HDR, and more.
