Can't seem to find the answer anywhere... Does the Obsidian rom have the Samsung widgets? I know it has a touchwiz overlay one it. I just can't find any answer about ti having the widgets too...
I got buddies now, daily briefing, and feeds and updates. These are the only samsung widgets I see.

Hello all XDA members, I am currently doing an assessment piece on Samsung's Touchwiz interface. I was wondering if someone could post the original icons from the Galaxy S ii's GUI. I have looked and I can't seem to find them anywhere.
I need the Application, Contacts, Phone, Messaging, Market and anything else I can get my hands onto.
Cheers, BJ.
Really I don't now why samsung removed these nice icons! better than the current by miles!

anyone know how I can get this mod to work on Cog 1.5? I really love the original dock icons
Hey xda, I was trying out the gs2 digital clock widget on my epic, and I realized it wouldn't work. I had it working on a gingerbread leak I was on, but not on official froyo.
Anyway, I was looking in the market to see if they had a good mimic of it and since they didn't, I was wondering if any android developer would be willing to make an app that mimics the Digital Clock Widget from the galaxy sII.
If you don't know what it looks like, just search the Epic 4G Touch.
Anyway, thanks in advance

Could anyone do this? Or does anyone know if there's one out there that's similar?
Hi, I just purchased the Note and I installed OnlyOne rom right away because I wanted ICS. I'm setting up my home screen and I don't see the Samsung clock/weather widget. I see it in the system/app folder but I don't see it under widgets. Is it not there or am I doing something wrong?
I would ask in the dev thread but I'm new here and I don't have enough posts.

Unless you changed launchers, the weather widget is in the drawer towards the end of the list. If you've changed launchers it won't be there.

i'm not sure if the gingerbread clock widget is supported in ICS. *please correct me if I'm wrong*
if it truly is not then i highly recommend Beautiful Widgets. i think it's under $3 and you will have more options for your clock widget than you'd know what to do with.
The Rom he flashed is a sgs3 Rom and it does include Samsung widgets.

Lol its not a sgs3 ROM its flapjaxx base room and it has s3 stuff included. Yes the stock clocks are all in there they look smaller in the widget menu compared to a stock ROM due to the s3 launcher is resized for or devices just look a little harder you will see it

I figured it out but it doesn't matter because there's a glitch. Once the screen orientation changes from the home screen the widget disappears. No point in using it.

Anyone know how to add the contacts widget from the droid razr original? Prob the only thing I liked about that phone. Takes no space showing 4 contacts then drop down to show 12+ I think... Thanks
No you need the Motorola RAZR framework and that's impossible

Well it may not be, with the Motorola weather widget all you have to do is put the widget in system/app and use the Motorola launcher. The contact widget may be the same way. It seems that most of Motorola's widgets are tired to their launcher instead of being tied to the framework like Samsung apps are.
OP, try using the Moto launcher and pushing the widget to sys/app and launcher. Here is a link describing what you need to do:

Use the XDA link first, just know it may not work on AOSP ROMs. AOSP is 4.2 and I am unsure if any of the new Motorola phones have been updated to 4.2, if they have you could get the launcher and widgets from them and it should work. Also if you use the Motorola launcher none of the Samsung widgets, like the S-Note widget and the calendar widget, will work on that launcher. The apps themselves will still work, just not their widget counterparts unless you use the TW launcher.
Also porting framework can be done, it has been done before with one of the Samsung phones. The Dev ported the framework that the Samsung afford and widgets worked on and incorporated it into a AOSP ROM and I think he made a flashable zip so you could add it to any AOSP ROM, AFAIK it has only been done once though and it took him close to a year to do it. Most devs don't want to deal with that though because it is a huge pain in the ass and is extremely difficult to do and the reward just isn't worth it to mossy of them. I can't blame them for not doing it no matter how much I and other users want it.

Hello,
I've been reading for this question but found no answer. I took the OTA Verizon Kitkat update on my S4. It works fine, but phone looks almost the same as to Jelly Bean. My question is: don't we get the characteristic Kitkat launcher and wallpapers? Is it because of TW? If I want to have the Kitkat look, do I have to install a third-party launcher? I apologize if dumb question, but found no answer.
Thanks in advance...
That's all aosp KitKat and has nothing to do with what tw KitKat looks like. If you want that launcher you can search for gel launcher online or use a third party from the play store. You can get KitKat wallpapers anywhere
