Hi all,
I know rooted devices are blocked from playing movie rentals from the Android Market. I had hoped to use my tablet to watch rented movies on long flights. But I was forced to rent a movie on my phone, with a much smaller screen.
Are there any working (and legal) solutions for movie rentals for offline viewing? I am not interested in ripping my own movies - I want to watch new (to me) movies.
I would even be willing to go to stock TnT (grudgingly, since I really love the C+C ROM) if movie rentals works with it...well, and if Skype works with it too...oh, and Netflix, but I digress.
Thanks!
We still can't watch rented Google Movies over HDMI?
Audio comes thru to the TV and youtube, other videos, games, etc work fine.
Anyone able to watch Google Movies over HDMI?
google movies aren't high resolution anyway, right? I've watched in browser and I think it was 480p, not too good on a hd tv..
Hi, Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, as I cannot get any response from Sony support. Sony states that only certain regions can have full access to these sites. Would like it to be available to UK to download music, rent movies etc, direct to XS after creating account with them, will this work ok straight out of the box in UK
Cheers.
I went into that "movies unlimited" or something app, and I was region blocked apparently :/
So I think it will be indeed for only certain regions...which is a bit...annoying.

Hi, Great Thanks. Thought it would be useful to rent the odd movie on phone and play movie through large screen TV via HDMI, saves connecting laptop etc.
Has anyone given this a go? I want to rent HD movies from my phone on the Play Store, then watch them on the PS3 on the TV. I have looked around and it seems that you can log into YouTube via your PS3, at least you could back in 2009. You should be able to watch your Play Movie Rentals on YouTube, but can you get them through YouTube on the PS3 AND in HD?
I have hunted for this for a while, don't shoot me if it's already been asked and I've missed it.
Cheers.
I have a Nexus 7 and I want to stream some of the videos I have purchased through the Play Store to my TV using dlna. The problem I have is that when I "pin" my content so it stays on my device the movies do not show up in the video folder so dlna apps can play them. Does anyone know how to fix this?
