SOLVED: HOW TO GET JAXBOT's WP7 LOCKSCREEN TO INITIALIZE JUST BY PRESSING THE POWER BUTTON!!!!
GO BELOW FOR CAB FILE
CREDIT:

Jaxbot for Wp7 Lockscreen
vijay555 for VJBrisk
STEP 1. download and install the program mentioned in POST#7 (VJBRISK) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=477519) to your device memory
also download the updated .exe file on the programs thread
Step2. once you have installed the program on your phone take the updated exe file and replace it with the installed one ( program files\vijay555\VJBrisk.exe )
Step3. Make Sure You Have Both S2U2 and WP7 Lockscreen Installed..
Step4. Take the .exe From the "Program Files\ wp7 Lock Screen" folder and rename it to "s2u2EXE.exe" and move it to the "program files\vijay555" folder
Step5. Take The Vjbrisk.exe and rename it to "s2u2.exe"
Step5 1/2. Launch the S2u2 settings program and make sure you enable the lock upon wakeup under general settings and then save
Step6. Now MAKE SURE YOU CLOSE S2U2 !!! do this by clicking the iLock2.exe and you will see a message saying "iLock2 and s2u2 closing..."
Step6. Funpart- Delete everything in the (program Files\S2U2 ) folderexcept these files:
-iLock2.exe
-iLock2.log
-s2u2.log
Step7. Move both of the newly renamed files in the( program files\vijay555 ) folder that we renamed "s2u2.exe" and "s2u2EXE.exe" in to the (program Files\S2U2 ) folder
Step8. press your power button right after copying... it shouldn't work
Step9. press the iLock2.exe program.... it should work now!!!
To Change Wallpaper... Select an image to use and rename it "lockscreen_image.png" and place it in the root folder

1. you shouldnt have to add .exe when renaming programs
2. When you press the power button you cant immediatly do it again and expect the wp7 lockscreen to be there ... it is a slow program takes about 2 seconds to load so when you turn of your screen it will be about 8 seconds for it to fully initiate

for the cab you do not need any pre-requisites of programs the little parts of programs needed to make this work are included in the install
program can be uninstalled.. is called intui-tech intui-lock
hmmmmm... it seems there is a sort of apps, which catch power button
in order to display their own menu (shutdown-restart-etc).
Probably some of these ones can launch smth.?
at least you can dig into this direction...
i think that quickshutdown can do this... especially intercepting the power button.

i appreciate your suggeastions but what i am really looking for is so that when i press the power button the screen goes off and wp7 lockscreen.exe go at the same time without extra clicking process...

Try this. If it was my setup, I would replace the s2u2.exe or whatever it is called with the lock program I was looking for. There is probably a lock.exe of some sort in the windows folder. If you follow the instructions for this program, it will replace the lock program with your specified program automatically whenever it is looking to launch the lock program.
I do this with my calendar and clock and it works like a charm. Hope this helps!

sounds good but i cant really get it to work with s2u2 and the lock exe in windows is uneditable.. ohwell
Quickshutdown has an option to launch an application when activated, without extra tapping. You just have to configure what application to launch and how the behaviour is. So when you push the power button Quickshutdown is launched and the the selected application is launched too.

thanks guys for your help but i found the perfect configuration for this to accomplish what i want...
i used the suggestion in POST #7 with the s2u2 application ... works very well at launching Jaxbot's wp7 lockscreen just by single pressing the power key
if anyone else wants what i did i would be happy to upload the configuration i am using....

i will add a step by step for the cab however
i dewcided to put just an update addition because im not sure if the developers of these three programs are okay with the cab i created...
i actually had to rename it like a new program because i equally used three different ones so im waiting to hear backfrom them
my cab pretty much does what the step by step says to do iam gonna leave the original step by step there incase they want me to remove the cab
the cab instructions will go in the update section

Very nice but, I have a few questions/problems...
1. Is it possable to adjust the font size ? On my Vzw Touch Pro 2 (WVGA) only Dec is shown in December, as the font is very large (maybe a lacking font for this ?)
2. Is there a way to get better performance from it ? Sometimes when I hit the power button (to wake it) it will not even show the lock screen, then it comes down a few seconds after.
3. When sliding up, I have to make sure my finger goes all the way from the bottom to the top, if I start from a little from the bottom, I have to attempt it again, sometimes this will take 2-3 times before I can open it, Can this be ajusted ???
4. When you change the image, is this the root of the device or the folder created by this installer (Program files\Intui-Lock) ?

I write a little Today Plugin to configure and switch between differents phone modes. The system/phone volume, the ring mode and the SMS, reminders notifs are customizable. The graphics too.
I use it for 2 weeks now but I'd like some people try it and give me their feedback, comments...

These are the future of phone profile control, as far as I can tell. Yours is now the second app to provide this functionality, and more can only be good. The other one is PhoneProfilesSeriously (seriously ), which seems to be full of bugs, judging by the comments made in these forums.
I have some comments about your software. Hope this helps!
- The icons are too big. Maybe we could have the option to choose the profile using smaller icons on the Today screen? I know that we can make our own icons, but even if they are smaller with a transparent surrounding, they will still use the same space on the Today screen.
- I would like more than four definable profiles.
- It would be nice to be able to choose a specific sound to be played for each alert type in each profile (i.e. complete alert- and profile-specific sounds).

I can say it's a promising start. However, the setup screen will make THE difference. It's a bit difficult to adjust the configuration using the text file . It reminds me when I was using Borland C++ to develop Win 3.1 applications before the first VB version

I had bought "My Phone Profiles", and removed it to use this one. "My phone Profiles" was buggy and made the whole device very slow.
You might want to try the attached settings. Just unzip and copy to:
\Program Files\PocketZenPhone\
I say excellent work (especially with the extra icons)
One thing: Could you find an easier way to setup the profiles, better than to tweak the Phonesettings.txt file
I currently add a window to set the phone modes and I will try to add more settings (notifs ...)
But I have not many time to program this software so it will take a little time to implement new fontions ...

I add a configuration window and allow to customize the notifications.
I will maybe try to allow to configure the sound for the notification and maybe ring tone but later ...

Does this software work with WM2002 as well?
I compiled it using the Pocket PC 2003 SDK but I don't use any PPC2003 specific functions.
So this should work under PPC2002 but I cannot try as my XDA is under WM2003...
Let me know if it works ... if not I will try to make a PPC2002 version ...
Being new to this I downloaded the files but they are not the installer type that automaticly install,
They are .001 files what do I do with them?
On a WM2002 machine the programme (v2, 26-2-2004) does not seem to install correctly. After copying and executing the cab file it looks like it installs and it does make the PocketZenPhone directory, but no .exe file can be found. Did I do something wrong?

Just copy the file as it is to your device, and run it from there. It will install automatically as a today plugin.
You should have download a .cab file (PocketZenPhone.arm.cab exactly)
Copy it on your pocket (through activeSync for example)
Then on your pocket click on this .cab
It will install automatically the Today plugin.
After that go to Settings->Today->Items and you should see PocketZenphone in the list (it should be checked)
Simply click on ok and when you return to the today page the plug in should appear...
PS for vhan3 : This is not an exe file but a dll file ... so it is normal you don't see it directly on your pocket ... The cab file only creates the registry keys, create the directory and copy the dll on it

1. After first install, all profiles volumes are set to -1 (Perharps because of an empty regisrty at this time). Should set default values like in V1
2. Uninstall is... arrrggg... impossible until you rename dll and reset. Now, I know... no matter (First tried to uninstall after above bug occured)
3. WORKS GREAT !!! VERY NICE TOOL, VERY USEFULL TOO. THANK YOU !

Thanks for the tips. I tried this on my Qtek 2020: no problems, however on my XDA-1 (WM2002) the plug-in does not appear, nor is it visible in the Today item list.
How do you rename the Dll?

1) Ok I will add default params for each modes
2) To uninstall a today plugin you have to disable it before uninstall it.
So to uninstall PocketZenPhone, simply go to Settings->Today->Items, then uncheck PocketZenphone in the list. After that you can uninstall it without any problem (no reset ...)

tips
1.> after fresh flash if comm manager icons dont show up properly use rotate screen for them and they show up properly and switch back to normal screen they will show up now
2.> if by any chance time display goes corrupted due to soft reset ,( this is a very very rare case)don't hush just press power key for 4 second or more and say yes to switch off dialog appeared on screen then take of your battery for 4 seconds or more and place it back and power on the device ,infact after a fresh flashing one should turn off the device and take off battery for a few seconds ,it kind of freezes the system states for a while just like our freezer does to ice cubes so that they get set where they are.
3.> bluetooth active sync would work finely ,but for USB active sync some PC's you have to disable (untick) advanced network functionality in settings>connections>USBto PC
4.>do not use vjdevice lock too often unless you need to infact don't use too much of any screen lockers , use your power button more often to switch off and sleeping the device
5.>it is not necessary that your device has to go to 0% everytime before you use charger , you can use charger at 30% or any reading but when you put charger to handset please let it charge to full capacity and then only remove it.
6.>please donot modify unlocked extended rom at all after flashing as it may spoil all applcations lying on it reqiring rewriting extended rom or reflashing.i would say rather do not even unlock extended rom too.

its winrar messed up i would change the rom i uploaded since win rar seems to have done merging in same directory where another file of same name existed.

i am using resco photo viewer pro v6.33 registered without any "splash errors" which you are saying
any soft reset????
Always works fine for me, but tonight, my battery arrives to 5%, and prophet auto off.
Since there resco viewer, and some other programs, dont work

Some performance tweaks
I created a registry file to change these easily;
- Increase Font Cache (8192 => 16384)
- Increase File System Cache (0 => 4096)
- Increase File System Filter Cache (0 => 4096)
- Disabled Message notify
Steps;
1-Extract .reg file to device or SD memory.
2-Open registry editor & (menu -> registery -> import )
3-Find this .reg file and "select"

I'm happy to announce that, thanks to the awesome work done by the wing-linux project, it is now possible to run Android on the Startrek. Well, kind of.
Limitations
As of now, functionality is pretty limited on this hardware. The telephony drivers do work, and they automatically pick up many carriers like AT&T, but the most important apps for placing phone calls (Dialer and Contacts) will crash if you try to run them. This is a known issue related to the phone's lack of a touch screen. Audio playback is unsupported, though I've found that the microphone works during phone calls (which I've placed using commands via SSH). The external LCD only displays white.
Interestingly, Android is about as responsive as Windows Mobile on the device. There is no option (yet) to install the OS permanently; Instead, wing-linux installs to an easily-removable file on your SD card (required).
Instructions
Before you begin, make sure you have about 300MB of free space on the microSD card. (wing-linux requires installing to the microSD at the moment).
UPDATE (Nov. 10 2009)
The new wing-linux 0.4 release includes Startrek support! You can skip the list of instructions below and just install wing-linux normally. See their site for more information.
Download wing-linux (site) and extract it to your computer.
Follow the normal instructions for installing wing-linux, pretending that your phone model is the HTC Elf instead of the Startrek for now.
[*]After wing-linux is installed, browse to your microSD card using your computer and open the folder named "linux".
[*]Download the patched version of zImage, attached to this post.
[*]Replace the "zImage" file in the "linux" folder with the patched version you just downloaded. (This adds support for the Startrek's keypad to Android.)
[*]Open the file named "default.txt" and change the first line, from "set MTYPE 2372" to "set MTYPE 2487". (This tells Android that we're using a Startrek.)
[*]Save everything, place the microSD back into the phone, and start wing-linux again.
[*]After waiting a few minutes, you should have a fully navigable Android desktop!

Yes, I mentioned that. This isn't a final or polished release; it's just to play around with.
Works pretty good! none of the letter keys seem to work but , i did get the on screen keyboard to come up once but now i don't know what i did to get it to come up. I don't know how to remove widgets from the screen once i add one. Also how do i turn it off and get back to windows? Do i just have to pull the battery? Great job though! i can't wait to see if it will get fully functional!

I don't know how to remove widgets from the screen once i add one. Also how do i turn it off and get back to windows? Do i just have to pull the battery? Great job though! i can't wait to see if it will get fully functional!

Don't worry, I've observed all of the same things. And yes, I've just been popping off the battery cover to reboot for now.

Update: Now with less hackery!
The wing-linux project has released version 0.4, with Startrek support built-in. You no longer have to do the special steps outlined in the original post. Hooray!
Does the 0.4 update offer any more function than the last one? I'm downloading right now but, i thought i would ask.

Other than having Startrek support already included, it shouldn't be much different from 0.4pre. I think there is a file manager application, now.

but when i active the icon in start menu , this massage appear :
cannot open script file \storage card\linux\default.txt
i explore this path with pc , and there is no file with this name .
what can i do ? can anybody share the content of default.txt file for me?

of course it can't be done .
contents of " default.txt " is different .
apparently , we must make the " default.txt " with notepad . but what's it's contents ? maybe a path that guide haaret for booting kernel .

Glad it'd help you. Ya, booting is slow and you have to press red button (end call) when it loaded to a stage with the ANDROID, then you will only greet with the Android logo. Enjoy!

MTYPE 2487 in default.txt
doesn't work with qtek 8500, must change to 2372.
With this change I can boot linux, but after setup, run the calibration utility, and startrek isn't a touchscreen device as you know. How can bypass this?

I have been looking for answer, but without results.
I want to add my own shortcuts in manila today. What do I mean 'my own' you ask, i have a lot of programs installed on my storage sd card, and i dont want to install it all over again after changing ROM. For example i have installed garmin navigation and i don't want to install it again and wasting hour for that operation, I just want to add shortcut to manilla an pin it to today screen.
Please help me, I my explanations are not clear I will try to describe my problem better.

Sir, probably it's me but I don't get/understand it!? What do you mean with "Shortcuts to manila"?
- Manila files are image files. Do you wont to skin manila files
and you don't know how to start?
- Do you will personalize the shortcuts? the one you see in the start window and on the manila home screen?
Maybe you can give some more information, it will be easily.
You need a .lnk in your start menu to the program. I use sashimi to copy .lnks to programs (not requiring registry information) installed on the storage card to /windows/start menu/programs. You can also just do this manually. Once the .lnk is there, you can add the program to the quicklink on the hometab.
I use Resco Explorer. Browse to SD -> Program folder > Select and long press the program you want > Send to > Start Menu as Shortcut
Then, go to Home tab, select an empty quicklink and select the program

setting this to 0 enables camera button, problem is that setting is lost (value becomes 4) after reset, guilty for this probably being manila sense itself.
the solution is to enter this to registry at startup
I. by using FDC taskmanager (http://www.dotfred.net/TM/FdcSoft_TaskMgrv3.3_WM6.5.cab), in 3 little steps (someone can make a cab with these):
1. install FDC taskmanager to internal storage
2. copy attached import_camera_button.lnk file in windows\startup folder
3. copy attached a.reg in \temp folder
run file @2 or reset, camera button starts camera now, as with official rom
if you want a.reg somewhere else/with different name, you need to edit @2 shortcut properties (e.g. with total commander)
II. by starting the attached activate_camera_button.exe at each startup (make a link to it in windows\startup folder); what this small app does is just to change the mentioned register value to 0 (you have to trust me on that )

feel free to use whichever solution works for you (registry file or if you don't want the fdc task manager installed, the standalone program)
while both are working fine, i prefer the fdc task manager one since anyway this is a great program to have installed.
