[Q] Custom ROM's And GPS Freezing - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I just wanted to ask if any of the custom roms fix the GPS freezing issue. I just want to say, this is not a thread asking for a fix for accuracy or the compass rotation when at an intersection. My GPS is accurate for the most part, so my main issue is when it freezes. Do any of the roms solve the freezing issue?
I have experienced this problem with both google nav and co-pilot.
Again, this is not asking about an accuracy fix, just a phone freeze fix.
Since some people seem to have perfect GPS that never give any problems, I ask that only those who had this problem before and found a solution through a custom roms tell if if a rom fixes the problem. That way, I can know if the fix really works.
Thanks in advance

GPS Now Works
I had similar issues with my Vibrant.. Nero 3 seems to have fixed the issue. make sure.. you go out and try the GPs for the first lock

[Q] Hardware button problem

I post this question on few ROM threads, and hoped, that with new ROM version it will dissappear. But, neither with PROven 3.2 neiter with ROMeOS 1.95.3, it still persist.
Sometimes - many times a day - hardware button get mixed. For example "phone up" turns into left, od stop working etc.
It is ROM independent and I'm affraid, it is hardware problem to the servise...
Has anyone similar problem?
No one has similar problem, so it is probably hardware problem. So it needs TP to send to service...

Gyro Sensor Stops Working

Hi
I have this very weird problem with my Galaxy S2G. My gyro sensor stops working. This is happening for the 5th time. Just to clarify this is not only with the orientation problem. I cannot motion sensor games like Temple run, Bounce, etc.... Every time this happens i have to go back to gb stock rom. Calibrate the sensors. At that point it starts working. This problem is not to a specific rom. On all roms i face this problem. Is there a permanent solution for this? Every now and then it is very irritating to flash stock gb and calibrate the sensors. Hoping to find a permanent solution. Guys help :fingers-crossed:
I have browsed through all the threads and couldn't get a solution to this problem.
Thanks in advance for your support.

[Q] Atrix and headset on CM9

Hi.
I was using my Atrix with CM7 MROM for long time.
Yesterday I switched to CM9 Olympus with new kernel by krystianp. It's great rom but...
I got two little problems:
1. when I plug my headset I don't have icon informing about this.
2. when headset is plugged it auto pick up calls. I found something like this "phone>menu key>call settings>Accessory settings for call" but I don't have this options in my dialer or anywhere else.
Can anyone help me with this? Icon is just a feature I liked but auto answering calls is a little disturbing for me. Especially when I don't know who is/was calling.
It is pretty clear you don't know what you're doing, or else you wouldn't flash an experimental ROM and then complain about a bunch of already very well known issues.
I suggest in the future you stick to GB ROMs and stay away from things you don't understand.

I thought auto answer was normal function which is working and I didn't find anything about problems with it. So if it can be turn on should also be able too turn off...
I know that new kernel and roms are in development and that they have some bugs (proximity sensor, screen tearing, problem with some games) but one app which I needed runs only on 4+ Android.
So could answer me it is possible to turn off auto answering calls or it is bug which I miss reading threads about kernel/cm9/cm10?

Help Tracking Vibrations

Is there a way for me to monitor what app is causing random vibrations on my device? I'm on the super-nexus rom and there is a common issue where the phone will randomly vibrate for some reason and I would like to find what process is causing it so that I can try to fix the issue myself.

Best bet would be to provide a logcat and then submit it to the thread of the ROM you're running. I had this issue on the GPE 4.4.2 version when I was running GravityBox I re-flashed to 4.4.4 stock and I've had no issues.
