[MetaMorph] Vanilla Android Theme v0.71 - Vibrant Themes and Apps

Vanilla Android theme here for you Vibrant lovers! Check it out.
ONLY TESTED ON NERO BETA 3. FLASH OVER OTHER ROM's AT YOUR OWN RISK.
IF THEMED APPS DON'T SHOW AFTER APPLYING THE THEME, RESTART THE PHONE. After that, you should be okay.
TODO:
- Framework changes.
- Edit Phone, Camera, and others I'm forgetting.
- Fix apps not showing problem.
- Others I'm probably forgetting about.

Any way you could get rid of the little line separating the status bar from the rest of the screen? It really makes it a lot more seamless. bahnburners gingerbread morph got rid of it, but for some reason not everything applies right on beta 3, worked fine on beta 2, so not sure...

Compatible /Custom LockScreen Mods

I Noticed that many developers are including the new Rotary Lockscreen in the recent roms that have been released, and thought I would create a thread entirely devoted to Custom Lockscreen Mods for our device. I don't claim to be a developer or themer, but however noted that we have some of the best themers and developers in the Vibrant thread so thought I would start a thread for those who would like to share some themed Lockscreen Mods. I have extracted several settings apk's from several roms and noted that they do work or are compatible with different roms. This thread in no way seeks to minimize the hard work of those developers who have included Rotary Lockscreens in their roms, but only seeks to stir up the creative juices of others who may want to share some of their work. Thanks!! Credit goes to Whitehawx & Hoey2011 for making this possible on our devices. Heres hoping that they will continue to bring their creativity to this thread along with other themers and their themed lockscreen mods.
Thanks to Whitehawx for getting this working on our device and shout out to Hoey2011 for these Lockscreen themes and Brick'd, RobZarzecki and others who supported this. More to Come in different colors and flavors! Stay Tuned!!
Hot Screenies
1st waves of morphs compliments of Hoey 2011. Flash with Metamorph and should be all good. NOTE: The star wars mod may not work after you apply this but the other 5 lockscreens work without a hitch. This is the 1st wave of morphs and all glitches that are found will be worked out accordingly. Whatever theme you are using should not be affected as shown in screenies using Danny Doans Theme with Hoey2011 themed Lockscreen with Rotary. Enjoy and Be on the lookout for more soon!

Great idea, there are many out there, hopefully you can get a few posted that work with the frame work each are using.

Yo RobZ im going to post a couple of framework apks and possibly a couple of those setting apks that we discovered works on particular roms just to get it started a little im still contacting a few people to just make sure its ok. Thanks to brickd he okd to post his saturated grey rotary framework and going to check with others also. Its nice to be able to change out lockscreens according to personal pref if compatible. Imagine if someone could develop a lockscreen changer this would be the business!
Hello everyone! Hmmm where to begin. I have done a little poking around regarding adding additional shortcuts to the rotary. I for one would like to have it show missed calls/texts on the center piece and you swing one way or the other to shortcut to it.
Something another dev in the fascinate forums PM'd me about was using the rotary to answer/decline calls. That would be freakin awesome. I'm going to be investigating this as I think it might actually be easier to do than what I said above.
Jcc, I like your idea for an app that can change out colors/themes/ect on the lockscreens. I'm going to do some talking with Roman later to see if we can't work something out for this (he's the java/app expert ).
I do have some other lockscreens I'd like to port over, including the multilock from CM and the iFail...err... i mean iPhone slider lockscreen. No promises on anything though. Anywho, its time to vape!
Whitehawx, I am using Axura 2.3 and when I flashed it the rotary lockscreen didn't appear in my list. I flashed it again and themed it with Gen x red and it still didn't show up. I wanted the rotary look so bad that I found the one attached in the market. Its called GOTO LOCK. If you look at it, I can roll the arrow to the right and hover over sms (my handcent) and it will preview my messages and the same for phone calls and my gmail. It also shows the number of each if any are waiting. Allows me to customize background as well. On the box up top it allows me to silence ringer, vibrate or turn ringer on and a few more gadgets as well. I think if you could incorporate something like this into rotary it would take it to the next level!
BTW...any idea why the rotary lockscreen didn't show up with the rom?
Thanks.

Hmmm I am unsure why the mod would not work, but doesn't Axura 2.3 come with the rotary lockscreen already? Flashing my mod should work, but you would lose all of your theming, ect. Seems odd that it wouldn't work though.

I dont know. Strange. Right after I flashed and went to into settings, display and unlock screen, it only shows the 4 options. Rotary is not even there. I didnt want to lose the theming from my Gen x red theme so that's why I downloaded the one from the market.

Yeaaa Whitehawx appreciate you picking up on this. One of the things I appreciate about EDT is they're a class act and are loaded with creative minds. Whitehawx thanks for responding to this thread and look forward to the freshness. Hopefully the lockscreen changer will come to fruition this would be hot. That lockscreen that roman is thinking of releasing on trigger is the business!!

Funny.....Lol. It's actually in the market. It's called GOTO LOCK. It's a buck 50 but well worth it. I only found it because the rotary that whawx created for the roms wouldn't show up when I flashed axura 2.3 and I really wanted a rotary unlockscreen.

Yes I saw this mentioned in the trigger thread. However he said you were the Java expert. Collective creative development gotta love xda. I'm going to mess around and learn how to do some of this stuff one of these days. Instead being a leaching donator.LOL! My wife tells me that I'm on here so much I ought to know how to cook by now.

Hey guys, I made a little mod of the rotary lockscreen for bionix V 1.2.1, based on the GingerBlue theme. Therefore, when you flash this zip, you will have a blue themed phone, only for what framework-res touches. There are no changes to tw-framework, so that apk is not included.
This is a clockwork flashable, and it clears your dalvik cache, so it takes ~3-4 minutes to reboot after flashing it. I was a bit worried because of how long I was having to wait after flashing, but then I realized I have 200+ apps, and that makes rebuilding the dalvik-cache a little time consuming. Screenshots included, here's the link to the mod:
http://www.4shared.com/file/ryMYzZYU/HoeyBWRotary.html
If there's enough interest in this sort of thing, I'll take whatever lockscreen ports there are to handle, and make them customizable for our Vibrants I'm a themer, not a coder heh heh
Edit: I suggest trying this with a black and blue theme, because that's what I designed this little inspiration after. the jog icons are black and transparent, not black and blue like the screenshots suggest, it's just the blue smoke from the wallpaper.
I added a space wallpaper to demo a little better the way it looks
EDIT #19390487: I will consider making these theme a Metamorph simply for the possibility of avoiding replacing the entire framework-res.apk . Metamorph may make it possible to avoid the time-consuming flash/dalvik-cache wipe process I am using now for the theme. Then again, everything has room for improvement, including this mod! Keep in mind, this is a *rough* draft of an idea, and the idea was made specifically for me. If you don't like it, then throw up some suggestions. I will give folks a run down in a separate thread from this, so you can have an idea of what I can change and the effects it will have. That way, this thread can stay open to new *actual* modifications, rather than just aesthetic ones. So basically, I am going to take what progress comes from here, and theme it to gooey goodness. I have a simplistic stylistic preference, but you all may not!
Where exactly are lockscreen-containing files located within the ROM?

Hoey dang that lockscreen is sweet!!thanks for joining the discussion. I'm going test this baby out. It looks Great. Please feel free to Share some of your Lockscreen mods. That's why I started the thread because I believe themers such as yourself as well as others could post the hotness!
@ Oxirane It's either the Framework_res.apk or The Setting.apk and using root explorer you can copy it in systems/framework directory and if you use the setting.apk you can copy it in Systems/Apps folder. It's funny though because I've discovered that on some roms the framework_res.apk file changes the lockscreen, and on others all you have to do is push Settings apk to Systems/Apps. Maybe someone could expound on it for us. Make sure before you push any file with rootexplorer on your phone. SAVE your original files so that if something goes haywire you can just recopy those files as it will give you back your original look before the push. You could also just flash a rom with it already on it also. Hope this makes sense! Chime back if it works for you.
Update: Unable to download from dropbox its giving a error message. Could you post the Mod here in the thread. Thanks.

[Theme] Green Sheen v1.0 - for Trigger

Project has been terminated. Sorry to anyone who I have left waiting. I have too many personal things going on to be able to work on this. If someone wants to pickup where I left off, feel free, just credit me.
I have been working on this for a while now, and it is not quite finished (still more framework and twframework edits to make, along with some other system apps). I only really get to work on this at work, and even then it's not much, so it has been slow going, and updates may be slow.
I though I would reach out to the public at large for some feedback.
This has been mostly edits to the base Trigger files (many edits) and some images and .9s from NeonGT that I liked, along with a couple icons I found searching on Google. Eventually I plan to replace many images with some of my own to better fit my style.
I appreciate any comments you may have to help improve my theme. I've done some small Metamorphs before, but this is my first time attempting a full theme.
v1.0
Updated some framework images with some green versions from Trigger 2.9.4
- Modified the yellow on the battery percentages (40-60%) so it should hopefully be easier to see.
Updated Launcher some more
Added in Akbar font (you will need to set through Flip Font in Settings)
Starting to modify Dialer
Some other minor stuff I can't remember
v0.3 Beta
More framework edits - framework is done except for a couple of .9s I will eventually get to
twframework updates
Massive edits to Email.apk
v0.2 Beta
Minor framework edits
Slightly new spinner/loading icons - Tell me what you think of them
v0.1 Beta
Many, many framework edits
Gmail starting to be themed
Email app starting to be themed
Launcher edits
Settings edits
Coming soon:
Finishing framework/twframework/Gmail/Email
Dialer amd MMS theme
Custom made icons
Bringing all the green colors closer together on the palette for a more consistent look
Thanks to:
The XDA community
birgertime and the rest of the einherjar dev team

Jumba for NeonGT
and many, many others who have made contributions to the further development of Android and this site

I can add it in if people want. It's one of many flip fonts I made a while back.
Ah I love this theme. Really wanted a different color than blue. Can't wait to see what your going to do with it!
OP updated. Any changes, suggestions, insults about the theme?
Great. Will update.
Not sure if its just me or just nitpicking, but when my battery was low yesterday it seemed like the green went away or like really "dims" on the battery icon.
Maybe its just me though.
Great theme regardless!
EDIT: Link seems to be down :/

I will fix the link in a couple hours. On the road for work and not near my pc.
As for the battery, the glow around the icon should go green, yellow, red as the battery drains. The yellow is hard to see. Maybe that's what you are seeing? I have plans to fix that soon.

Alright no problem.
Ahhhh ok. Yeah I just took a close look at it and its yellow. My mistake. But yeah very hard to notice.
This looks really nice! Love green, about to flash Trigger again and going to give this theme a go!

This is amazing! I'm loving it, if I had anything to suggest, I think it would be awesome if you can change the pull-down menu dividers between the notifications to green along with the font to show up green. I think it would look really nice.

I didn't have any plans to theme Swype as I don't use it (I actually remove it from a rom zip before flashing so I don't have to deal with it). Check out this thread as there are some nice Swype metamorphs in there. Also, I'm sure there are more threads for Swype themes out there.
There is actually a post here for a bunch of blackout swype themes that were made by creator. There is a link to them on the MTM Gingerbread post.

NEW VERSION DOWNLOAD:
8/25/2011 v7.4.2 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K0WHNBUF

8/14/2011 v7.4.1 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IRD7UNE1
- re-based on alien #4
- standard files are modified by me as usual (systemui, framework-res, contacts, dialer, phone)
- larger total ZIP size to include more of the alien themed base apps which are inverted, good as base
- if you do not want the extra themed apps from alien, just delete everything except for my themed files that you don't want from the /system/app directory in the zip.
8/12/2011 v7.3-5 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H4Y9XW4S
- more graphic changes, mostly changing some of the green alien to orange aosp

[i]7/19/2011 v6.7 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5MFBZ1OP
- Updated the call sliders to be aosp style now!
- Here's a new update. It doesnt include any recent visual changes yet. This update is just one that optimizes the theme since there are a couple who messaged me asking to use it in their roms so i went to clean it up a bit. I removed hundreds of unused PNG files from the various apks in the theme. I was able to cut the total file size down from 11Mb to around 6Mb.
The phone seems to run a bit smoother now, But I am not sure if it's just my mind tricking me haha. In any case, you guys should flash this one to clean up the system.

[I]7/14/2011 v6.5 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2M6DAHG0
- update the progress bar color (volume rocker for example), a small change but took a lot of time to figure out properly
7/14/2011 v6.1 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=59DGRXB3
- real quick 6.1 update, nothing major to note
- more changes to the dialer, looks more like GB now (but still some minor graphic work to do, getting close and tougher)
- these are builds I use daily and decide to upload for those to use too, that i why I upload so many with minor changes.
7/14/2011 v5 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WSXK3RXX
- skipped version which was internal testing. versions are arbitrary anways =)
- themed the dialer finally! it's still rough on around the edges like when you are on the talking screen. I hope to fix these graphics soon

This is just the gingerbread theme only, aosp style. I prefer this over the Motorola Blur Gingerbread style look. This is based on gingerblur p-rom by kenneth. This means no major mods from his p-rom, but retains the look of gingerbread and anything shown in the changelog.
Must be deodex. Download zip package to sdcard, boot into cwm, do backup, then flash.

- all framework changes from gingerblur 4.5, includes fixed menus for third party apps (cool, good job devs!)
- added % on battery icons, gingerbread-style
- included dialer related apks
- "H" icons only for both 3g and hspa signals. I am too lazy to keep changing these, so I just keep it as ken had it in gingerblur, H for both. Most people prefer this way so I leave it. Although on my personal device I prefer and I have separate icons for 3G and H hehe.

my clock is missing, (or still in black text) in the notification bar. Any ideas? Thanks for putting this together!
if the clock is black, that probably means that the update is missing the services.jar...

hey, thanks! you know it just came to me as well that I have not deodexed my system since updating to 1.83- possible cause too? perhaps I'll do that now.
Should work fine, there is a service.jar in there, check my screen shot, works fine. Of course need to be deodex hehe

I saw that in your screen shot... no deodex, rookie mistake. Thanks for the work.
Great job! I've been wanting the theme but not the "rom". Flashed fine and running well!

OP, how hard would it be to add Gingerbread notifications to this theme? (i.e. Gmail, Email, Text, etc.)
thanks!
I love this, I've been trying to do the same thing with GreyBlur but I keep messing it up. Do you think you could strip out the theme for GreyBlur? I'd really appreciate it.

Do you mean the icons for each of those apps? It wouldnt be hard-persey but it would take a lot of time as you have to go one by one and replace image files for each of those apps. So you get the gingerbread style ones, then just overwrite the current ones with them. This doesnt require any compiling so it is easier. Just open the apk (dont extract it), navigate to the drawable's folder where the icon belongs and just copy the gingerbread one in and replace the old one. You also have to add in those newly modded apps into the theme package under systems folder. It sounds more complicated then it is, trust me hehe, just takes time.

Yeah I can try this for you. I am currently trying some mods/edits and am asking around for advice. I'll work on greyblur soon though after i figure my issues out.

Hey everyone, thanks to shoux we are all benefiting from his 1% battery mod. I have updated the theme. Mines has the gingerbread style icons unlike the other themes, download is in the OP, enjoy.
P.S. looks better/clearer on phone than in the screen shot.
Nice Work. Just one request is it possible to add the gingerbread dialer theme

Can you make it so that when it's discharging, the amount the battery is filled is proportional?

I re-read your comment, i think read it wrong at the beginning. When the battery is discharging, meaning it is not plugged in, it is proportional. check out the attached image. the battery icons are adapted by fellow xda-user TrungT. I made it transparent to fit the theme.

[Q] T959 Miui knowing issues

I just rooted my phone and got the latest version of MIUI with some help from friend.
The miui is truly a great Rom. I really like it.
However, there are some really minor and major issue (At least for me)
1. Wallpaper color resolution is weird. No matter which wallpaper you applied or you use. There are few portion of a little green stuff like "molt" on the wallpaper. It's not obvious on black wallpaper. It is very obvious from a whole white wallpaper. I have voodoo color fixed and all that.
2. On the forum, it said GPS is fixed? I didn't really get a lock on GPS. I also tried a few other GPS app. still the same. Or I should restart my phone before everytime I use GPS?
3. Notification ringtones have to go thru music application, so there won't be conflict with Theme manager.
I mean I don't mind to do that. It's just somehow annoying.
4. Sometime App Market 3.0 is really slow (More like it's just loading forever until you reboot the phone)
Other than those issue. This rom is my favorite one and thanks all developer who create this Rom. It's perfect.
What is your question?

ok first off GPS is WIP (Work in Progress) so don't expect 100% gps functionality
no issues with colors on my phone tested with solid bright white wallpaper with and without a Voodoo Color Kernel.
Market is fine. If your having issues, use titanium Backup to wipe the market data, if that don't work make a backup of market uninstall it with Titanium, reboot and reinstall from titanium without application data
Notification Ringtone -- Menu softkey --> settings --> personal --> Sound and vibration settings --> Notification ringtone --> menu softkey select other and find the sound file you wish to use.

Huawei themes does not working anymore :'(

Hi everyone, I have a p20 lite ane-lx3. Since October security patch update, when I want to apply one theme, the theme doesn't apply properly because the status bar and navigation bar doesn't change :'(
I don't know if I have problems with my phone or huawei quit that feature.. Have you been experiencing this?
Thank you.
PS: I have done two factory reset on the phone.
Did you restart your phone after applying the theme?

Yes, I did but nothing changed. Also I did two factory reset but didn't work :'(
Hmm don't know Bro. Restart after applying theme worked for me. Then the themes loaded correctly.
you should send your phone to repair
I am experiencing the same problem. It seems like the last couple of updates changed some things and that has broken the theming engine. I guess we will just have to wait till the next update where it might get fixed.
even I too want to confirm that there is nothing wrong with the phone. People are not checking their phones properly and are under the impression that their themes are working properly. To know if a theme is working fully, after applying a theme and reboot, check if icons under settings applet have changed or not, check whether status bar icons are changing or not, if having VoLTE connection, check whether its changing to HD instead of VoLTE(applicable for some themes), battery icons and even some apps interface (usually the Calculator).
Currently the only thing that is working is changing of app icons, wallpapers and a few colors like message/sms colors, and nothing else unless you use Xposed to tweak your visuals or some substratum theme engine. Even Huawei too confirmed that their theme engine is broken and they are working on a fix with Android 9 update, but they are clueless about when it will be released for beta testing, but they confirmed that development of emui for p20 lite is on the works and broken themes wont be fixed until l Android 9.
However some noobs are happy that their app icons got changed and are celebrating the fact that theme engine is working properly.
@fbh59
Thnx for the tip. Feeling like a big noob right now.
Never realised that only the dialer, icons and colours changed whilst changing themes.

yes!!! let me attach a theme, kindly test and post your screenshots. I shall show you the difference between your smartphone visuals and that of mine. I can showcase as I am still with September patch. But I am not sure whether I can show the difference as you seem to use P10
Thanks, tested it and only things that don't change are settings menu icons and status bar.
Nice theme, no fan of apple so I'm not going to use it but nice work!!
Huawei Theme Engine Broken
While these are the screen visuals of my screen with an older security patch. I didn't use any substratum theme engine or Xposed tweaks to change the colour within apps like Play Store, VLC. Even Outlook interface was changed to Red instead of usual blue, but couldn't post it due to all confidential items inside it.
P.S: I don't know whats so "apple" in it? I used this theme just for a neat status bar. Used a different theme for app icons. The only thing I had to bear is under software version it shows ios 11 instead of emui 8(but who visits that screen). Lockscreen too can be changed. I might use an app like Theme Editor for EMUI to change status bar icons, but certain things are not changed like displaying HD instead of VoLTE. Copy pasting of this theme's status bar into other themes and building a new theme too does no help.
Hence the problem
Sh*t. I have the same problem with December patch for p20 lite.
App icons are changing but icons on settings are stock icon

Just received EMUI 9.1 (9.1.0.132) and the themes are still broken also did a reset + cleared cache. Is there any other solution?
Huawei themes does not work!
When I enter the app no themes apply
I may have found it, read this:
''We appreciate the feedback and would like to share some background information and clarifications.
The Overlay Manager Service (OMS) is intended for device manufacturer's use. OMS, in its current form, is not designed to be a generic theming feature -- more design considerations will need to be put into it in order to uphold Android platform's security and product standards for users. Accordingly, OMS has never been advocated as a public developer feature.
Earlier this year a security patch (CVE-2017-13263) was released to OEMs for Android Oreo devices. The patch restricts the installation of overlays to pre-installed or system-signed apps, in response to a legitimate security issue raised in Android Oreo. Android Pie also includes this critical security patch, so it restricts overlays in the same way as does Android Oreo.
We understand that custom theming is an important capability for some users. We will take your feedback into consideration with any future work in this area.''

Don't report this to Huawei, they can't do much about it and only Google can, but they have to find a way to get rid of the security issue before making it work again.

Ok
Theme manager is less useful then before. Huawei is getting more and more restricted like Apple. I hate that
