Simple enough mistake, haven't done it in awhile. Can someone post the zip for CWM for 2E. My ROM manager doesn't want to flash it to my sd and somehow I deleted it. Epic fail on my part but hey, it happens to us all sooner or later.
I'm also aware this should probably be in Q&A but in this section lets face it we nandroid all the time so it will be easy and hopefully quick to get some help and what I need in this section.
If you looked in the Q&A thread (or searced) you would have found the solution is already there....

Yeah I did search and looked in q&a, must have missed it. Luckly I saved a backup of the zip on another place on my sd. But hey, thanks for your awesome comment, link, and help. Oh wait, you didn't do any of that did you other than search q&a. Keep making the worse assumptions about people. Shows YOUR best qualities.

Lol... You are right, all I did was take time out of my day to create a thread with the fix for people and to try and prevent clutter on xda... MY BAD.

I have flashed "bionix19_JACS_OCUV_VOODOO.zip" and I want to use the Project Core. So I downloaded the "disable-voodoo" and flashed that too.
I opened up adb shell prior to flashing the disable and found "/dev/block/mmcblk0p4", meaning Voodoo is enabled.
I flashed the disable and ran the shell again to find "/dev/block/mmcblk0p2", meaning Voodoo is disabled. Linda tells me that things are being changed back during the reboot.
Then I flashed the Core, ran the shell, still seeing "/dev/block/mmcblk0p2". Then I went to the SD card and deleted the disable key file. Rebooted. Opened the shell and "/dev/block/mmcblk0p2" is still there.
What am I missing? Should I just use SetCPU and ditch the Core idea?
Thanks for any help and I have been google-ing and forum searching for quite awhile now.
Voodoo is not suppored in the Core project....and was this really worth making it's own thread in the wrong forum?

I get it... Q&A... different forum. Don't worry, I found it. I'm so sorry I posted in the wrong forum.
What I don't know how to do is get rid of this thread. All I found was a thread requesting the ability to delete your own thread.
Ohh Boy is right... How dare some new guy post in the incorrect forum on his first post.
"Ohh Boy is right... How dare some new guy post in the incorrect forum on his first post."
It happens. They should make it a requirement to read all stickies (with Van Halen clause).
What are stickies?
Threads at the top of each forum that never down down the list in time. You will see a little thumbtack next to it.
It usually contains rules, guidelines, and FAQ's
Thanks for giving me a real answer. I was being wise ass and you gave me a genuine answer. For that I am sorry. I do know what stickies are but I didn't read them and now after reading them I can see why people like me can be irritating. Lesson learned. I also PM'd the moderator to remove this thread. (I learned that by reading the stickies) Double Lesson all the way. I'll be creepin' in Q&A, where I belong.
Hey guys,
when flashed, do the nightly builds of cm7 completely overwrite and erase the preexisting information on the phone (apps, contacts), or does it simply apply any patches or updates without modifying user data?
Thanks

Yea you know I'm not quite sure where the mods have been but it's been a bit of a free for all around here. There is actually a general and q & a section on here ....I mean, there is a post in the development section that says:
[ROM] cm7 nightly Discussion.......
What does that even mean? At first I thought it was a new rom but realized it was someone who actually posted a discussion thread in the development section when we have a whole section devoted just to general stuff. If I was jt reading through the nightly thread my blood would boil over the amount of useless BS clutter.

Well the reason I didn't post in some thread is because you don't get notified if someone replied to your question... as long as the question is relevant what should the location matter?

Its amazing how someone posts in the wrong section the thread gets at least 5 responses all of which were how the OP posted in the wrong section.
So to answer the OPs question, the only way it will remove your personal data is when you are in recovery and wipe Data. And if you have your Contacts saved to your Gmail account they will get restored when you wipe data.

This is why, "@_jt1134_Stupidity and poor forum moderation/administration reigns supreme. Nothing new from me will appear on xda. CC: @RootzWiki.
...and then people like you come along and answer the question anyways.
We are losing devs over this BS so stop encouraging bad behavior.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Dev forum once require you to be a recognized and registered developer in order to start a thread? Or was I just dreaming?

So you mean the bad moderation of answering the question and then moving the thread to the correct area after the OP has been told they posted in the wrong section, its so funny how people automatically thinks a new user is gonna know exactly where to post, considering how many posts that are in the wrong section are probably gonna be from a person who posts in the wrong section and then won't be heard again. But they are definitely never gonna be heard of if they post something and never get a answer, but all they get is criticism, seriously people, just let the OP know wrong section, but at least answer the question.
Or even better just merge all the sections together so there is no longer a need to say WRONG SECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does this look absolutely anything like a request, general or questions section to you?
Think about it for 1 second, what would this section look like if this kind of topic was allowed, answer is it would be a complete mess and you would have to trail through a sea of crap to get to the roms/kernels etc.
This sections is for developments, not help requests, app requests, or anything else completely unrelated to development, Its for ROMS/KERNELS/MODS/REF etc only.
If you want to post this type of topic do it in the appropriate section(s). Its really irritating when people who have subscribed to this forum get stupid topics like this emailed to them.
Please turn brain on an read the forum titles.
Well im sorry and i apologize if turned my brain off k?

Well thats just been sexist.
Doesn't make a difference what your sex is, you should still have common sense enough to put questions in questions forum, general discussion in general etc. Its obvious if you take a few seconds to look that the Dev section re for releases/mods and reference etc.
Tbh I blame XDA for this aswell because they could restrict posting rights for dev forums more per post count or usergroup.

It's not actually sexism if it's a principle that should be applied equally to both sexes (though the wording ephraim used wasn't exactly to that effect, but hopefully you get my point). There is a certain sense of irony when you remind someone of the rules in an inflammatory way, and so break the rules yourself.
It was a simple mistake, an accidental posting in a forum that has squillions of subforums. It happens.
Anyway, OP's question has been answered. Bluefa1con's advice sounds fairly easy, especially if you already have a stock zip lying around.

It wasn't an accident. An accident would be if they meant to post in a specific section but didn't realize they was in a different one when clicking post.
Users are just simply choosing to posting in dev section instead of taking seconds to work out that they shouldn't, That isn't an accident, its just pure laziness.
XDA needs some sort of structure in place like increasing the post count restriction, retro applying it to older members who signed up before they started imposing or restricting posting to recognized devs only. Any non recognized devs could put forward a topic which could be moved into dev section.
Allowing basically anybody to post anything in dev sections just pollutes the forum and annoys people who subscribe and get emails about "howz me flash me fone" topics (not referring to this topic, just general).

If it wasn't for the help of all the people that not only help answer questions, but also help keep the forum tidy, this place would have descended into chaos, the moderators would be having nervous breakdowns and people like you would be whingeing and moaning.

how does this happen ?
I want a bunch of widgets to not appear anymore when I search through my widgets.
(They just make me scroll more.)
Do I just delete the associated apk and then reboot?
Can I just rename them (e.g. .apk.old) so I can get them back ?
thanks,

True! Yes he made a mistake and he was good enough to accept it. Poor guy's phone is broken, i am sure a 500$ damage can spoil anyone's sense of forum rules...
