Anyone is thinking to implement it in the p500? it is good to save heat and battery. and in the spica i tested it with great results.

Which ROMs are the best and which ROMs are the worst when it comes to battery consumption. Has anyone done any sort of testing / comparison?
Thanks in advance.
I would like to know this as well... I'm running Juggalo's rom which I love but my battery life sux... data off, texting very little and making just a couple of short phone calls and backlight is low and I still have to charge the phone 4x a day...
The most battery efficient ROMs from my experience have been the 21109 build OS ROMs...
I'd like to see what other's have experienced so far...
If you guys can tell me what software to use for battery consumption benchmarking i'll go ahead and help everyone out....
so far it looks like people are going for looks vs performance... sad
Hey, im currently running trigger 3.3 and loving it. But i just wanted to ask you guys about your favorite kernels that give some of the best battery life.
im using bali 1.8.8uv and its still in the calibration phase but i feel like it gives some pretty good battery life.
What are your thoughts on the best battery life kernel that has a decent performance as well?
I'm on BaliUV also, fully calibrated, and I got 14 hours with 36% left before I went home. Somewhat light use. Pretty good if you ask me
Call me crazy but I think some phones just play nice with a certain kernel and others don't. Some can over clock / UV and others cant.
It seems silly but I tend to return to the old Overstock kernel. It just plays REAL nice with my phone.
I use Bali-X 1.2... Not for the overclocking ability (which my pathetic phone can't handle), but so I can undervolt even farther than the Bali UV kernel. I keep my phone undervolted by 100, and it is rock solid with this kernel and has awesometastic battery life.
I was always a big fan of CwK
Hi everyone,
I'm wholly on NDT MIUI GINGER 2.3.7 MULTILANG SUPPORT V9.0[SiyahKernel2.4.2] ROM. I have SetCPU installed but not really sure how to use it for optimum results.
I'm quite a heavy user, spending a gd 2+hrs worth of music listening to and fro work, at least half of workday of internet browsing and social networking, plenty of messaging and I have my emails on regular push. Currently using this ROM, I get a day's worth of usage before needing to charge at night before going to sleep but I wish to improve it further.
My SetCPU now is on scaling smartassV2 ( i have no idea which to use or what exactly it does, i used it because it sounds cool), everything else on default.
Anyone here can point me in the right direction or guide me on the best settings for my usage?? I see Profiles and Voltages but have no idea what to put in them.
Thank you for any assistance!!
you can try to undervolt and underclock. try to undervolt by decreasing +- 25mV to see how much you CPU can stand. have look here for battery saving tips.

as for the governors you can learn more from here http://wiki.rootzwiki.com/CPU_Frequency_Scaling
also you can try to buy an extended battery such as the original samsung galaxy s2 battery 2000mah. i am pretty sure it will make a difference.
thanks mariosraptor,
after a day or so on smartassV2, UV of -50mV on each voltage tier, main profile running at 200-800mhz i can say there's is a slight improvement, not much but better.
In the past, when I unplugged from 8am, I will have to charge again by noon. It's not toally drained but I would have used it to around <10% battery before charging. Now I can pull thru till around 3-4pm with the same heavy usage so that's a good few hours' real-world improvement.
I would have gotten the new extended battery if it had been available locally earlier. I bought myself a portable battery pack long before Sammy put that battery on sale. Even so I will prefer to lengthen the lifespan of the phone battery a.k.a charging less often and still get the best out of my phone.
SetCPU really helps but I do not expect much since I suppose no amount of tweaking can ever beat heavy usage. I will share my SetCPU settings here later on. Cheers
You are welcome.

Hey guys I just wanted to share info on a little gadget I just bought and it works very well. It concerning our battery on the galaxy ace. As everyone knows it's not the best battery but this definitely helps a lot.

It's really small so, that's always a plus. I have actually had my ace charging in my pocket while walking around with it Check it out let me know what you guys think.
UPDATE:
I also just found this but I don't know if it's going to be worth it...1350mah to 1400mah does not sound like a huge step up to me

I want good battery life, so which voltage would be the safest with apps NOT lagging or stuttering?

- 20 Global Offset should be fine
Undurvolting and lagfree don't go together. Every setting I have tested in many roms, (except stock) at some point have lag problems. So in my personal opinion, don't Undervolt if you can. Battery life is very good compared to the battery capacity. Off course it's your choice. You can try and see.
