After installing and uninstalling Foxit Reader today...on my HD2.....the recent documents tab in Sense stopped working....it seems that the pdf file cannot open anymore even using Adobe Reader....
also the pdf files dont have an adobe icon (screenshot attached) and when i open them i get a "secure certificate warning" (screenshot attached)
however the files are able to load when i go into Adobe Reader and manually open them....
can someone please tell me how to fix this...i really make a lot of use of the recent documents tab....
thanks a lot..

Not realy, you can use transcriber, but it tries to convert everything to typed text.

This really ticks me off; ONM should be perfect for this and let WM users utilize a WM device in conjunction with a non-Tablet device for handwriting notes.
A messy workaround is to write it on a paper and take a picture of it with ONM.

Mobile Office w/onenote
It installs fine, but when I try to open these programs I get these errors.
Excel: Can't find 'pxl' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available.
Word: Can't find 'pword' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available.
Powerpoint: Can't fine 'ppt' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available.
Mirror Site
Anybody have a mirror site for this file?

I tried opening the 'Vehicle Mileage log'and it shut down Excel. I the opened the Blannk 97 - 2003 Workbook and put a couple of figures in it then closed it and can now open the mileage log. I've yet to try it with any other s/s tho.
Found some previous ebooks in other formats I want in epub. I have no access to a computer so my normal tools aren't available. Also tried using WWW.2epub.com, but that isn't working either. Anyone know of a tool or android friendly site that works like 2epib.com? Remember, I don't have access to a computer at the moment and won't for a while.
Sorry, 2epub.com is the only one I've used and its always worked. What problems are you having?
Tapping on browse opens Adobe Flash Player for a quick second then shows a black screen with the word upload at the top and "No files were found" in the center of the screen. I am running Axura 2.2 rom... is it possible it's just because it isn't opening a file manager???
Hey guys,
I just rootet my Galaxy S2 and installed CM Mod 9 on it.
I also installed the App "Ghost Commander" with the play store. My problem is that for some reason I can not open files with the ghost commander anymore.
If Iam choosing an apk-file for example it just asks me to "run a command"
But what I actually want to do is to just install the apk file. I have this problem with all the files in ghost commander. I can not even open a regular pdf-File with Adobe reader.
Has somebody any idea where my problem might be? For some reason I can not try another filemanager, because in play store almost every app can not be installed because it says that its "not compatible with this version of android" I am lucky that at lest ghost commander was working for me...
Hope my english is not to bad

Ghost commander has 2 different operation modes - normal and root:.
You're stuck in the root: mode.

This one has me stumped. I've reset the system-wide app association and it is still happening. Now I'm wondering if some malicious code has gotten onto my system. I'm running a recent CM 10.1 (Nook HD+ build from 2013-07-13).
I am trying to download and open a APK file from Sourceforge.
1. I download it form Firefox, and launch it - it offers me Rockplayer Lite or my PDF Reader! What the heck?
2. Chrome directly launches Rockplayer Lite for the same file.
How can I debug this problem? I have root shell access and can poke around if someone can give me some ideas on where to look.
Thank you

you need Downloader Browser-Plugin 1.0
Have the same problem with my new "Vodafone TV" box and couldn't find any solution in the internet. Tried loading the browser plugin suggested above but same error message! The downloader app just simply won't connect to the net, period!!!
So, anyone has a solution, or as the op said, can anyone suggest an alternative?
Pitching in, as I'm a new Shield user with the same issue. Here's the page from AFTnews explaining the issue and the work-around; includes an installation video.
aftvnews.com/browser-plugin-now-available-for-downloader-app-on-android-tv
In short, browser capability had to be removed from the Google Play version so the app could remain in the store. The dev provides an APK at browser.aftvnews.com to add the capability back in. Should be the same APK as rainman74 linked to above (Downloader-Browser-Plugin-v1.0.apk).
However, the AFTnews' recommended action of pointing the Download app's browser to browser.aftvnews.com did not work for me; I received the same web access error message from Downloader.
To get around this, I loaded another web browser (Puffin for Android TV), entered the browser.aftvnews.com URL, and Puffin downloaded the APK. I needed to relaunch Puffin, then select the APK from Puffin's download list to install. Once installed, Downloader was able to access the web.
Hope this helps.

So what do you actually enter at the Downloader http:|| screen?
Good question. I may not have been clear, but I was not able to download the patch APK through the Download application.
Instead, I installed another web browser application (Puffin TV, available in the Android TV's play store) and put the browser.aftvnews.com URL in there. When the Puffin TV web browser loaded the URL, it automatically downloaded the APK from the site.
Once the APK was downloaded, I returned to Puffin TV's main menu and selected the file from the download list. When I selected the APK, it installed the APK to patch Downloader. After that, the Downloader app was able to again access the Internet through its browser.
Note: if you are installing Puffin TV to install the APK, you will need to tell your device to allow Puffin TV to install APK's. By default, Android doesn't grant permission for applications to install APK's. That's OK; you can do so under settings and my guess is your device will tell you how to do so.
