Why is it people post all the questions in the develop thread? I've been on here for the past 3 hours looking for an oc kernel preferably JL4 with voodoo for 2.2 froyo. When I happen to stumble across one the download goes to a blank page and can not get the files. Wtf. I'm stumped. Anyone help please.
Go check out team whiskeys web site in the forum section.

OC on any vibrant specific kernels is not possible at this time. samsung hasn't released source for a 2.2 kernel. right now, the only 2.2 oc kernels are i9k kernels, which people have stability issues with and eat battery.
I believe the link is down for a bit. I appreciate your help.

so i kinda wanted to know what mods, lag fixes, kernels were available for the new "eugenes jk2 froyo" that so many of us odined onto our device....
so far all that ive gathered is that ryans oclf is perfectly fine to use...please let me know!
I don't use eugene's rom chet I saw on his thread he has a bunch of different kernels listed. For the rest you'll find most of your answers in the change and feature logs

That's the STOCK froyo, means it doesn't come with anything but the OS itself. So do whatever you want.
ROM ISSUE REPORTING
(UPDATE)
I have been working on the WIKI page for the Vibrant today and added many ROMs. Probably haven't got them all but figured that this will be good. Any person who runs into an issue please log it in the WIKI. I have also added Kernel's to the list. This is for anyone who has some good input to add to it. I encourage people to go in and add information as well as the DEVs to go in and update information of their ROMs and Kernels. I have made links to the Forum and individual devs websites for more information.
Please let me know what you think

So reading this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=847624 by lotherius I decided that we can collect all the defects/issues with the ROMs that are known. Then the developers, can if they want to go through the issues in an easy way and contact the user for more information. This is to make it easier for all of us. Developers following their threads but if we can make it easier so they don’t have to go through all the posts as well I think they appreciate it. We also appreciate it as we don’t have to go through all the 500 posts to know what the issues are.
If there is a ROM that is not on here but you want to be added let me know. This is a clean slate. I am not going to go through the other threads to find issues. I depend on you for the information. If you want an issue in here you report it to me.
DEVS: If you have a comment on the issues please let me know and I will post those as well on what the status on each issue is. If you have a resolution to the issue let me know as well.
Users: If you know of a solution to problem please PM that to me and I will post it with the issue.

How to report
HOW TO REPORT
1) PM the issue to me! I will not go through every page that could be created with issues. This way we can keep this thread clean.
2) 1 sentence only to describe the issue
3) Let me know which ROM it is in the title of the PM
4) Who reported the issue so the devs can contact you if they want or need to get more info
Too much work, but good idea.

Maybe. But I'm willing to keep it updated if people are willing to provide the information. It will help everyone in the end.
WIKI update for Vibrant
So I went and took a look at our WIKI we have for the Vibrant. We had a area for ROMs but nothing in there. We may just use this for our issues. I have put most ROMs I can see being somewhat active and updated them. If our DEVS can go in and add any information they want to it that would be great.

I need help trying to configure setcpu on my vibrant running superdragonmodz kernel. I'm tryin to get the best performence out of it
If Im not mistaken, Eco, the kernel developer stated many times that you don't need any app to adjust frequencies/voltages to his kernel as it's already been configured and will be run automatically with the kernel. So in short, you don't need it and even if you do you should really be posting this on the kernel's thread as to each kernel it's own..
okay i was just making sure..and i would post on the kernel thread but i can't i need 10 posts
Has anyone been daring enough to try it with CM9/AOKP?
I know he specifies that it is working with certain ported I9100 roms, and that AT&T leaks aren't supported... According to the thread he's writing up something about it later... I'm just curious before I go messing things up. - even with a Nandroid. I'm impatient!! lol
Here is the original thread in the DEV section...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576998
If anyone has tried it (SetCPU included, maybe even overclock)? Please give me some insight... Maybe even an "about phone" screenshot with Kernel version info, blah blah... Thanks!
P.S. Do we still need to have Kernels matching modems? I don't need a brick.
No - use CM9 or Fenny's kernels for those. He says it in quite a few places, but I am unable to look it up right now.
Can someone please link me to the thread regarding Fenny's Kernel?
Search isn't helping at all.
NVM - Got it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1560383
What's the point of using it on CM9? It has NOTHING the CM9 kernel doesn't have. NOTHING.
OK, maybe it has one fix that hasn't gotten through gerrit yet, but going forward, don't expect there to be much difference between my kernels and the CM9 kernels given that I have push access to teamhacksung's kernel repo.
I know this might get flamed but, what Kernel do YOU have the best results on, i know everyone uses their phones different, have different apps and all. but as an individual which Kernel do you achieve the most satisfaction out of?
ATM using RotBox 1.2
Latest Fluxi Kernel
About a week ago I switched to the rooted XWLPG stock Sammy kernel (using with an XWLPG based ROM) and the results have surprised me. Battery life and scrolling performance are as good as any other custom kernel I've used, and there are no bugs I've come across. I know that a couple of other people have complained about the smoothness of this kernel, but I have not experienced that problem, even when running underclocked at 1 GHz.
first of all, questions go in the q&a section.
and for us to recommend a kernel, one would have to know, what rom you use. you cannot use certain ics kernels with gingerbread and you cannot use stock kernels with aosp.
and how do you get a thanks for a question like that?

I thanked him accidentally. Gave you one too for your trouble.
Just try them yourself. A good place to start would be to sort the forum by "Stats".
