I can't use mobile internet using Sun Cellular (I'm on plan 350), no 3g icon appears when I enable data traffic but I whenever I use a globe prepaid sim, 3g icon appears.
Tried calling SUN hotline, and they told me that I must go to the manufacturer of my phone.
I'm certain that the problem with my x10 since the same thing happened to me when using Globe prepaid sim but I replaced it and bought a new one and the 3G icon would appear.
Anybody experiencing the same problem?
do you have the correct apn settings? I'm not sure anymore what the supposed setting for sun is and if you really have to set it, i'm not in the Phil. anymore. but try putting in minternet or fbband.
Go here and download an Excel file of any phone setting and copy that to your APN... Or follow instruction on http://suncellular.com.ph/ecs_configure.php

Everytime I get sent a picture message mms, I can't download it. The button comes up, then after pressing it, the screen just says downloading for ages. Has anyone else come across this problem? Thanks.
Sounds like either:-
1. you haven't got your mms setting right - especially when you got a unlocked phone or your changed network
2. I had that problem when I am on "three" network - make sure that "mobile" network is turned on (ie 3g signal) and its not roaming onto a different network.

Ok, I looked into these settings under wireless controls, and under mobile network settings, access point names, orange internet is checked with a a green dot, but orange mms isn't. when I press it to try to enable it or something, there is no option. Do I have to ring Orange to get them to enable it or something?
Shouldn't have to ring orange, but if its an orange branded phone, it should have all the appropriate settings.
This might be useful

Hi
I have my nice new SGS2 but there is no option for network roaming, only data roaming. In order for me to use orange network i need to re-scan and select tmobile/orange, but only get "G" data connection. When i rescan and select Tmobile i get full "H" data connection. Is this normal or am i missing a setting where it will automatically switch. I have set it to automatically but it does not switch between the two. (it's a PAYG O2 handset but unlocked)
Any ideas or will i just have to switch it all the time. Not a real problem as its onyl in my place of work that t-mobile signal is awful yet orange is fine.
Thanks
I think Everything Everywhere rolled out to everyone automatically but by the sounds of it you were missed out. As you're on T-Mobile you can sign up here:
http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/share/
For anyone on Orange, sign up here:
https://kareena.orange.co.uk/signal/
Also, if you haven't ticked the data roaming then tick it! You won't move to any other network than Orange in the UK. Just remember to turn it off when you leave the country.

Done that but still it does not switch to orange when i have no t-mobile signal. If i do it manually it shows great orange signal....just does not automatically switch...
It won't switch automatically if there is a T-Mo signal available no matter how weak or strong.
Or is there no signal available to you with T-Mobile?

I can't say for the SGS2 but I can tell you how it is on my Hero, and im guessing it should be same on the SGS2 as its an Android setting ...
If you're on T-Mobile, as I am, then scan your network and select "T-Mobile" only and tick the Data Roaming option. That's the only option you need and it's the only option available. This should then automatically switch over to Orange only when you can't access a T-Mobile signal. You'll know its done it as your network will be displayed as Orange as opposed to T-Mobile.
This is how it works on my phone and it works fine. It should be the same on the SGS2 as well.
Also apparently you'll only get "G" or "E" connections on the Orange signal. That's all they are allowing at the moment.
Hi, I have a Hero and that switches fine but the sgs2 will just show no network when i lose tmobile and not switch to orange. I see that if i get orange manually i will only get "G", its just the automatic switching does not seem to work. Checked tmobile web site and they dont have internet settings for the phone yet, but do have mms/sms settings...maybe in june when they release it they will update the settings and ill be able to down load.

They aim to do 3G roaming at some point in the future but for now it's EDGE only on data.
My network currently (ie when I drag down notification bar) is 'Orange T-mobile'
Sent from my Galaxy S2 using XDA App
Im on t-mobile and mine seems to auto switch without setting anything. A few days ago I remember it saying orange but most the time it says t-moble.
PS: the other day I found out my phone had been emergancy calls only for neely 24hrs the only way i could get signal again was to turn it off and on so dont know if that had anything to do with it messing up when it tryed to change
Hi, i've just sim unlocked my phone on monday and put the sim of the company of my choice.
The phone came with 2.1 update pre-installed on the phone and i used it for about 3 hours and the "H" for HDSPA was appearing with no problems, even the "E" for edge appears in some places, but when i made the update to the official 2.3.3 firmware my network went down only to EDGE and no H at all, i went to my cell phone company to do a clean up of my number and still only on E, tried a different SIM of the same company and still E, can anyone help me restoring the HDSPA network please? i've read lots of similar issues in other forums and no answers that can help me, i even have tried a downgrade to 2.1 and the E still appearing as the main network, No H, can anyone help me please? thanks.

Thanks but i've already put them into the phone and still only on Edge, haven't tried with SEUS or PC companion, hope that can bring "H" back, and also it's not a hardware issue because i'm sure my phone it's an x10a not a x10i, thanks for the help.
Woke up this morning with everything working. Got out of bed and place my phone on my desk and turned on my computer. I then looked back at my phone to see i had not service. Confused, i restarted my phone to see if that worked and it didnt. I tried another sim and it didnt work either. i then put both of the sims in a iphone and it worked there. I restored the phone to stock and 2 other roms and it still isnt working. The weird part is when on stock i get signal bars even when their is no sim. When i try to dial out i get "Not Registered on Network"
Any help is great help

It doesnt even show my network operator, thats the weird part it only shows rogers and when i put a sim in for fido (Rogers>Fido) i got service but no h+ even with the correct apn i only got edge
My Network operator doesn't show as a normal either - I do a Search and get (after a wait) Telstra, Optus and Voda - choose Telstra and it pops up a 'Registered on Network' msg.

i had the same very exact problem..and yes when its in auto mode it only detects gsm signal so the data is slow signal is E.
i usually use the wcdma only option so that the phone on searches for 3g h and h+ but now when i select that option it only gives me
not registered on network..and no data signal at all.. and also the weird thing is that there is a signal bar on it plus when i scan for
network it searches the other two carrier brand on our country not the sims own carrier. help anyone

Hey xTristinx, glad you got your phone working.
I have the same problem on my Galaxy S, my SIM wouldn't register a network on it but it worked on a different phone. My Galaxy S still gets a signal but always says "out of service". I think this might be a problem because my friend used his SIM card in my phone and it f***** up the bands. Could you give me any suggestions on how you fixed your problem?
Thank you.
Hi!
I have Motorola Razr XT910K, and I am from the Philippines. I have been using the phone for almost a week now and it seems like it won't connect to mobile internet. I got the APN settings saved on the phone and the settings were pushed by the provider. I turned on the Mobile Data, also i checked data roaming as well. I already selected and enabled the APN that was pushed by my provider.
Here's what is going on: when I turn off the data, the "H" is seen beside the signal bars icon but there is a red circle with a slash which means data is turned off. But when i turn the mobile data on, the "H" disappears and only the signal bars icon is left, aside of course from the time and other icons on my notif bar.
Can anyone please help me on this?
My phone is not rooted, running official 4.0.4 ICS.
my mobile network state is either just connecting or disconnected.
I tried to use my sim with another phone and it can connect to the internet.
I don't if i just missed one setting on the phone.

I just got the same problem earlier today, and solve at the end, below is my procedure, just for your reference.
Try "Settings" > "More" > "Mobile networks" > "Access Point Names", and delete those APN(s) that your are not using.
You may also want to try to search APN auto set up in the play store.
my 2 cents
