Background Hiss - Optimus One, P500, V General

Has anyone else noticed that there is a gentle hiss in the background of all audio playback on this device weather its through the headphones or speaker. Is there a fix for this.

For now, nobody didn't confirmed yet if last update from LG (Foryo 2.2.1) had solved this problem (what I know about).

In-call Microphone Vol Issue/running Slim ICS 2.8

I have had this problem with the mic volume, while in-call, i sounded too soft on the other line. Barely audible at times. The microphone records great in other apps, but audio gets distorted when capturing video (for example at a live concert), however it is the least of my concern. I used to run bionix 1.3.1 then ran cyanogenmod 7.1.0.1 and now im running Slim ICS 2.8.
I really want to resolve this issue, I have perused through countless threads and have found no solution. Could this be an issue with the kernel? I honestly have no clue what to do. Help me pls! thanks in advance.
I figured it out! So if anyone else has this issue I hope this may do the trick if its relevant.
Since DSP Manager is installed on my phone I figured the answer may lie in there. And.. it did! It was the tuned audio clock setting, it was 'checked' , even though it says it helps with the sound (which is why I linda ignored it before) but turning it off drastically changed my sound when in call. Now I can be Howard clearer. Hope if anyone has this issue it helps or possibly have a similar setting you can set off that says it "helps with the sound"

[Q] Rings and notifications through headphones only--fixed in CM9?

My problem is this--when I have earphones plugged in, notification and ring tones come out both the earphones and the external speaker on the phone. This is a problem in ways Tasker/Llama cannot solve that I have seen.
I would like to be able to have earphones plugged in and have rings/notifications/alerts play only through the earphones, and not out the external speaker.
Is there a hack/ROM/app that will enable this to happen?
This comment says CM has done this since CM7. Can anyone confirm it's working in the latest CM nightly? I wanted to wait as long as possible before rooting and ROMing, but if it fixes this problem, I'm up for it tonight.
Thanks in advance.
I've had this problem on all ROMs from stock to CM9. Am I just being dumb and haven't figured out how to send all sound through the headphones? Because it seems extremely strange that the device would even be set up to force sound out of both the headphones AND speakers, under any circumstances.
Anyone got any ideas? Many thanks!

Sound Oddity

This is a minor issue, but I thought I'd post it. Since updating to Nougat 376 I've had an odd sound issue with one of my alarms. I use GTasks for tasks. The alarm sound, since updating, now starts with an unidentified sound before using the sound I chose. So, essentially, instead of the sound "aaaaaaaaaaa" I hear "bbaaaaaaaaaaa". Anyone else experience this?
Thanks.

Crackling sound from top speaker

Greetings,
I had submitted my ROG Phone for repairs (the top speaker grill had come out) and during that time the update for Pie was released for the phone. When I received the phone, I immediately updated it to the latest version, but I noticed that the top speaker had an annoying crackling sound, but it happened only on some audios, for example when any notification came (notification sound is the default "newmessage" option). Also, I used a frequency generator app and found that the crackling occurs around 200 hz only. I am currently on the latest Pie version, but still the crackling issue persists. I want to know if other users of the ROG Phone are facing the same issue as well, as I really don't think that the service center messed up my hardware, because the crackling isn't always present.
Here's a link of a guy who posted the same issue, though it's old and for Android Pie beta: https://www.asus.com/zentalk/thread-279936-1-1.html
Hey I'm having the same issue on my ROG phone 3 Strix edition were the top speaker makes annoying noise on certain audios, did you fix the issue?

Question Popping/crackling sound during calls on multiple apps [SOLVED]

Every couple of minutes I am getting a loud pop/crack sound during normal calls and the same behaviour on Whatsapp and Viber calls.
I tried both on speaker and without and the result is the same. I am running all the latest updates. The adaptive sound is disabled.
Also tried Stealth Audio Player to hear both the external and internal speaker on Youtube videos and I can't reproduce it except sometimes it pops when a video is started. I also tried recording my mic and it sounds clear without this popping.
Is there anything else I can try to fix or debug this issue? It sounds like it is trying to record or adapt the sound while on call even if the adaptive is off.

This kinda sounds like the problem I had, but ALLLLL the way back to my Pixel 2 XL!
If you're rooted, you can try what worked for me below -- although, I'm not up to date with Viper4Android (V4A) and I believe it's either EOL or is in the process of being updated to work in x64 architecture or there are newer updated branches or something... But if it's possible to lower the frequencies, you might luck out like I did on the taimen...
I Found a Speaker Distortion Fix
Like many, my phone has the lower speaker distortion on speaker phone calls and general audio, like YouTube, when turned up high. If you are rooted, I have found a solution to all situations except speaker phone calls. I installed Viper4android...

Thanks for the help. I can hardly hear any issues while on youtube. There is noticeable pop when videos ending or starting. Some people are reporting motherboard issues with Pixel 7 leading to similar problems. I am trying to find if it is a hardware or software issue.
After further investigation it looks like interference. If I disable the mobile data and WIFI it seems to be a lot better. After 16 minutes call it was a very faint pop if at all. Does it sound like it needs a motherboard replacement or a future patch might fix it. Update: still happening regardless of connectivity on both the inner and outer speaker. I am going to RMA for motherboard replacement.
