[Q] Footprints & New HTC Hub - 7 Mozart General

G'day guys n gals,
I'm unable to see in any review or video wether HTC have implemented or are going to implement their Footprints into the Windows Phone 7 Hub.
Is anyone able to tell me if it exists or is available as a "More" download from the marketplace?
Kind regards,
BK

Hi there,
What exactly is HTC Footprints?
If it is only a service to save the geotags (your GPS coordinates) in your photo's EXIF tags, then yes, this feature is already included in the camera application,

Footprints is a neat application that HTC added to Sense a while back that not only records geotag info but allows adding of notes and audio recordings to pictures.
You can view, share, sort by type (food, shops, fav locations), import/export. I have been using it a lot with the HD2.
Really looking to import my existing Footprints into a new WP7 handset...

Footprints isn't included in the HTC HUB or as a more down load from HTC!

Thanks for the reply.
It is a pity.
Got the Mozart anyway. Played with it a bit, now back to Android on HD2

windows office anything like it on the htc hero

hello, have just joined the forum and am looking to get the htc hero, currently i have a tytn 2. I use office sometimes and was wondering if the hero has anything like office on it or can be put onto it.
Quickoffice comes bundled with the Hero.
I think it would suit your needs.

Quickoffice is the answer
+1
Yeah you can also get Docs To Go in the market but its pricey. Works really well tho and there are more options editting and formatting wise that can't be done on Quick Office. Android Docs To Go only does XL and Word.
Occassionally I'll need to quickly re-edit or tweak stuff and email stuff back to the publisher in Word format and Docs to Go lets me, but I don't think Quick office does, cos I cant save in different formats etc.
Daisy xx
You should bear in mind that DocsToGo currently doesn't want to download/install on the Hero from the Market.

Dave
Aww annoying - you can get it from Dataviz tho I think - worth a try if you desperately need it.

Office on Hero
You could try androffice
another alternative should be available soon watch this http://android-unleashed.com/2009/07/citrix-brings-windows-applications-to-android-video.html they had microsoft word running
Screens are from the video
That's full Word running on a Citrix server, which is more suited to Corporate use as most "normal" users won't have their own Citrix server running to serve out apps! Regardless though, I seriously doubt how useful this will really be with the limited resolution of the current crop of Android based phones - it'll be far more useful for Android based netbooks.

Dave
QuickOffice Problem
HEllo everyone in my situation - paid app's from MArket not available.. but in QuickOffice are problem with Word document - there are table - and quick office do not show this .. it look's what all file not loaded .. and table is hown as black square with red cross

[Wanted App] Camera interval capture / time lapse

I was wondering if anyone here knows of an app that will take pictures with the camera at set intervals? Preferably while running in the background...
I'm going to use my HD2 for navigation in my car tomorrow, and my car holder has a hole for the camera.
Just thought it'd be nice to capture the road/scenery every X minutes.
Extra bonus if it could auto-upload via FTP...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7256072#post7256072
It can store locally, or send the pics to an ftp server.
Thats a good use for it actually!
Also there is an app called camera timer it does exactly what you ask

sorry not the one i was thinking of i will search my pc later as a app exists
Thanks
but tinyCAM won'r run on (all?) HD2.
Do you still have that app you were going to search your PC for?

[REQUEST] to all XDA Devs/Hackers - improve HTC Album app ?!

Hello all,
The default HTC Album app shows pictures very nice and smooth. We all use it.
Older HTC Album couldn't show even filename of the picture. Now I flashed new AxLor DF2 WWE ROM. It has improved HTC Album app inside, so now you can easily view filename of the picture.
My REQUEST is to add "send by BlueTooth" function to that HTC Album application.
I know that it is possible, because XDA developers already hacked HTC Album app. This will be really useful.
BECAUSE when people show pictures to their friends with HTC Album app, they could easily send/share current picture by BT. Otherwise it's needed to open file explorer, waste time on finding that picture and only then sending it by BT, what is not convenient at all.
WHAT do we need to be done ?
Extend (hack) HTC Album's menu with "send by BT" option
[*]Make an external app that will hook current opened in "HTC Album" picture's reference to send it by BT
[*]Make Pop-up interface
...
i think this is a very good idea, hopefully someone picks up on it
I know many people will like this feature.
So, please, write comments!
This is a good idea; but sadly enough this question was bean asked several times / on several threads; without anyone who was able to find a solution fore this.
I even contacted the HTC Client Service; The only response I got was: Ow; we will investigate and see what we can do fore next updates!??
Unfortunately; they use the word "Sense" in there product; but sadly enough we don't find any sense in there logic.
But if it can help you; Resco Photo Manager have these option.
Yeah, I know about Resco PhotoManager.
But there are some things that I don't like about it:
* It is PAID program
* It doesn't scroll pictures vertically like HTC Album does
Well if you get this to work I would be very pleased too. It is incredible but to send something with bluetooth you almost need a Masters degree in WM 6.5.
Is there a program that helps send and receive files (not just pictures) through bluetooth for WM6 and above? Easy to use and reliable?

Favorite apps?

I'm coming from Android, a Samsung Vibrant, and I know WP7 needs some work and more apps. I love it though, it's really cool and it has a fast UI. I need help, and I'm sure a lot of you do too, finding good apps.

It answers most of my questions. The only bad thing about it is slowness.. It takes a while to reply.. Wasn't it free? just try it!

I think these are only available to Nokia Phones. Hopefully, they make them available to all WP7 phones, because they're really awesome.
Why does everyone want Nokia Drive?!!!!!!
I think Bing Maps is awesome.. what is it missing?
I use WPCentral & WMPoweruser a lot. Also mehdoh for twitter. Other than that I use a lot of photo apps & Xbox live games, especially Splinter Cell. Also use the people hub for most of my Facebook & some twitter. Though I guess the people hub is baked in & not necessarily an app .

3D Photos

Hi everyone,
I was looking for an application which creates 3D like photos similar what Facebook allows to post from iPhones (aka 3D Photo).
Checked tons of apps and it seems like only this one does the trick on Android and supports Poco F1 (and some others from Xiaomi, Samsung, Sharp and Google)
It's called Post3D (you can find in Google Play)
Oh, almost forgot - you need to take a picture in Portrait mode and open/find it with/in the app.
It even allows to share it. But doesn't allow to preview in Facebook
Enjoy!
