(Q) camera shutter sound - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Where can I change the camera shutter sound?
Sent from my U20i using Tapatalk

unless using altenative apps camera, there's no option to do that. Unless of course you can change the file with root manager (Maybe someone could shed some light on it) But if you want to make the camera shutter sound silent, just silence the phone.

We can change the camera sounds. Ofc to do that we must have rooted mini.
1. Open Root Explorer
2. Navigate to:
/system/media/audio/ui
3. All files are OGG's. Check them - you will hear what you want to replace (in shutter sound case we need to replace "camera_click.ogg").

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4. ALWAYS DO A BACKUP ON YOUR SDCARD BEFORE YOU CHANGE ANYTHING!
5. Get a new sound, and change the name to the one you have in mind replacing.
6. New sound place on sdcard.
7. Move the sound from sdcard to:
/system/media/audio/ui (mounted R/W)
overwrite.
8. Now you MUST set permissions to:
if you don't do that the sound will be disabled, and camera app might just crash.
9. Voila, you have changed the camera sound

Thank you bro.

You have to install readers hub on your internal storage. To do this copy your file via root explorer into /system/app.
Then you choose the apk by tapping it for some seconds.

}
A new window appears and you have to choose permissions.
Now you put ticks in the first two spots in the first line, in the first spot of the second line and in the first spot of the third line. The other spots have to be empty. Should look like this:
Then you have to reboot. You don't have to install the app. Just reboot and the app will be installed after the next reboot
thank you it worked for me

V10 Shutter Sound

I have renamed cam_snap_0 and camera_click but the shutter sound is still there. Any suggestions?
Anyone have any suggestions?
Have you replaced those files with a silent equivalent?
If you are rooted , then use the lg g4 tweak box.. It disables camera sound completrly

Tweakbox isn't free for this change.

I assumed renaming the files .bak would break the camera from finding the sound. Is this not the case?
I just played a little and I had to delete the camera_click_ogg.bak (the original file that I renamed).
With it deleted no click.
No luck for me after cuting them from that folder.
I can only turn the shutter sound off when I put the phone in silent mode.

Mi 8 Lite Custom Boot Logo (Modded)

Alright, Here we go again.The first thing you should know, this apps has modified by me aka Fatra Megantara (petrukgrinder) . The original apps by @dedraks. So, thank you for a great job bro and sorry I don't ask for permissions first. All credits goes to him. The second thing why I did this? the reason because @dedraks have a problem bout the project. Here's the statement from him :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So, before he continue the project I make a modified apps. The modified apps is only to bypass the "unlock code" so u don't need to worry about the unlock code or installation id.
How to :
1. Make a picture with resolution 1080 x 1920
2. Put it on your phone storage
3. Open Splasher Mod and Grant Access for root access.
4. Tap the "Camera" icon to pick your image.
5. Tap the "Flash" button on the bottom right corner.
6. Wait till the "spinner" dissappear and Reboot.
7. Enjoy!
Screenshot and more info go to @dedraks thread here.
Thanks great job!
