So I went back to sears the other day and attempted to barter with them for a price difference, that failed. They said they cant adjust the price, regardless of me knowing about the discounted units on sears outlet.
Anyway, while I was there I saw they had a bunch of cases for the G-Tablet. They are only $6.95 each so I bought one.
Looking at the packaging, you can see on the back it says "Re-Packaged by" some company. So again this is just some 3rd party item viewsonic is reselling.
After opening it, I see a "Case Logic" tag. My guess is it's a case logic Ipad case, as it doesn't fit the gtablet snug at all, still a few inches of extra room once it's in there.
Also, this thing STINKS! Like really, it stinks. My whole kitchen smelled of the stanky ass neoperene used on this case, and after putting the gtablet in there now the gtablet itself stinks of chemical/neoprene. I am going to have to try and febreeze the thing and/or hang it outside for a while because the smell is so strong it is actually giving me a headache, and now that the tablet itself smells like it it doesn't matter if I have the case nearby, lol.
I'll post some pics up later. Just wanted to write my first impressions on the case.

It's a Neoprene Sleeve with Handles and a second zippered area to put the wall charger and other accessories.

And the savings continue.... When to Marshals and bought a cool Targus Netbook pouch for $7. ust re-branded as a Viewsonic GTablet Travel Pouch.
BTW Sears has the G Tablet for $340 if you get a 2-year complete replacement plan ($50). It even includes wear & tear.... Replace, repaired or your $$$ back... No questions asked. Still below the $399 discounted price. I think it is worth it.

Not on fleabay. You will mostlikely get hosed. Many people have had good luck with woot.com and tigerdirect.
You could probably look in the general forum and see if another gtaber is selling one. We see ones with cases and extra schwag going for the same price as new all the time.
There's a Woot! Off going on, today - there's a chance that they might add the GTAB at some point, and most likely for $285 if they do.

It is possible to find a good deal on e-bay, just make sure to know what your maximum bid will be, for what you get.
I got mine there, paid $300 for the package that included the G-Tablet, a case for it (would pay $20 plus shipping from electronic crap) and a bluetooth GPS that amazon sells for $35. So, in all, I pretty much got the G-Tablet for under $245.
The "CLIP" on electroniccrap is perfect for the gtab. Although it blocks access to the full size usb port.

Currently, 10" gtab is on sale in Tigerdirect.com on $270 (use coupon code: FDQ33784) with free shipping (ends by 6/15). That is the same price I bought from Woot.com in April. If you want a good case, you can try electroniccrap.com. They have many custom design cases for gtab and good service. I hope it will help you to get into gtab world easier.

Just picked one up at the TD store in Buffalo Grove, and the dam thing has a white line down the left side of it, but the battery was completely dead so I will give it a charge and see... I got the in store price of 299, and I talked them into the 30 bux off.. ... Then picked up a belkin case for 25, so not bad..
It came with 1.2-4???? will play with it in a bit once it's charged, but might have to take it back..
Will re-rom soon..

I got mines last month from a local Office Depot for $299.99. It seems that is they regular price for the Gtab. Sears also has it for the same price but their stock is depleted locally.

well just because it has the 1.2 bootloader doesn't mean you have a big loss on your part. There are plenty of choices for the 1.2 bootloader.
If you don't mind picking one up used, but in good condition.. check Craigslist out. I scored mine for $180 with all original accessories, including the foam sleeve that it comes in. Not a scratch on it!!
Edit: sellout.woot has them for $249.99 + $5 shipping today. That is a sweeeeet price for a brand new one!

I noticed when I paid my bill on the 12th of September that it was no longer on display in the AT&T corporate store. I asked and was told that they pulled it the day before. I suppose this means it either didn't sell well or the amount of problems is overwhelming and they are discontinuing it.
In which case, why aren't they giving those of us that got screwed on it some support? I won't lie- I know the PadFone X hardware issues are ASUS's fault, but the way AT&T is handling it (or more accurately, doing their best to avoid handling it) in my case is why I'm finally jumping ship.
The accessory blowout may have already begun as well. I just ordered the Incipio case bundle for ten bucks at the AT&T site.
Sad news if it's true. So much potential for this device. Mine is thankfully still going strong.

Thanks for the heads up! I got the screen protector kit and the incipio case for 19.81 after tax.
Thanks for this find, ended up paying close to 11 dollars but it's the best and only case suitable for the padfone x

I received my Incipio bundle today (well, yesterday). I laughed when I opened the box. I can't believe this thing used to list for $70. The phone "case" is a joke. Oh well;. I'm not looking for drop protection; I'm looking to be able to protect the station's screen in my bag or on my desk, and this will do that well.

Actually I am using a case I got from office depot called "solo urban universal fit tablet case" . I think it protects the tablet more and it looks more professional. Also I ordered a phone case off ebay that has been a home run too. Search for "Ultra-thin Slim Stand Leather Case Cover Holster For Asus PadFone X".
I grabbed a $5 TPU case from eBay that I throw on when I'm taking the phone out of the house. Easy enough to take on and off. It even works with the Duracell Powermat, although charging is much slower.
Got mine today, it's a nice cover, but wasn't going to buy it for 70, $11 well spent

I'm happy with the station cover and feel that alone was worth the $11. The phone "cover" is a joke, lol.
The special adhesive on the phone cover was kind of a letdown

Damn! I paid 80 for Incipio case... (but I got it a few days after it came out) I was in the AT&T store the other day and it looks like they discontinued the Padfone X and replaced it with the padfone x mini (which I didn't see hte point in, I love my Padfone x)

Does that phone case (I'm assuming its as in [1] or [2]) allow inserting the phone into the tablet without removing the case?

I have used an i-Blason rugged 2-piece silicone kickstand case for my Nexus 5 and Galaxy S4. I was really happy with it, especially for the $5-$10 price.
Unfortunately, the same case for my Nexus 6 won't be available until December 1st...so I was searching for something else, even if it was just temporary.
I found what appears to be the same exact case (these all come from the same place in China I think, with minor cosmetic variations) for only $1.95 AND Amazon Prime 2 day shipping.

I really want this case. Seems for some reason it is very rare and hard to find.
I ordered one a month ago from MyTrendyPhone.com and it has still not arrived. They sent me affidavit to sign that I just sent back. I have a feeling all I am going to get is a refund.

First I got an email saying they would be shipping me a new one.
Then overnight I got an email saying they are sold out and offering me 20% off my next order under $40. Offered me a refund as well.
Why is this case in such sort supply? I don't have one yet, but it looks to be the best case out there. It replaces the back cover which adds less bulk, and has wireless charging built in.
I have not been able to get my hands on one either.
Finally got my refund from MyTrendyPhone.com, and have now placed an order with Expansys.com. They have it available. Also got the Quick Circle Wireless Charging case ,to see which one I like better.

Bought mine from Amazon.de Germany. Use chrome browser and it will translate. Choose other sellers and pick Amazon. Got it in about a week and a half for just under $40 including shipping.
MyTrendyPhone is a garbage company. Ordered from them too but never again. The Slim Guard case is absolutely the best case for the G3. I bought mine from Expansys and received it within a week. It is every bit worth the $45 or so that I paid and yes; it is very hard to find. Your best bet is maybe a secondhand off of eBay.

I just bought two (one for me and the other for my wife) from amazon.de but unfortunately the seller didn't ship to the USA so I had it sent to my cousins apartment in Germany and she forwarded me the package which I received today.
