I have a (CDMA) Desire -Im currently running CM 6.1.0-RC1 BravoC along with ClockworkMod Recovery 2.5.09 and after I upload & run CM 6.1.1 from the Rom Manager app, all seems to go well, until the boot screen, then just keeps looping until I have to do a battery pull and restore my prev Rom?? can someone PLEASE help me in solving this-is starting to get aggravating
Are you sure that the 6.1.1 update was the one for the desire?
Anyway, to fix it, grab any desire ROM and flash from recovery, if that fails to boot you'll have to wipe and reflash. This is why you should always make a backup if you care about your data.
I had the same thing with my Mytouch 1.2. I would suggest flashing amon ra's recovery from rom manager then try re-flashing CM. also are you using a stable build or a nightly?

I've seen many different people say to install it different ways:
-Just install the rom
-Install CM7, THEN install MIUI
-Install OTB kernel before, install it after.
To be honest, I am completely confused. I would love to run MIUI but can't due to not knowing how.
I am currently running UKB 2.1 with Clockwork 3.0.2 (Red) and EB04.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Generally people try to use the first method. If they get an error 7 they then try to install 7/4 build of cm7, and wipe data& caches, and then install miui.
Remember, once you get cm7 or miui installed ONLY use the recovery you get through the reboot menu. Do not use three button method.

Thanks! I took a nandroid just in case obviously but I'm not sure how useful that will be since I'm currently voodoo. Do I need to unvoodoo then nandroid, then flash? Or can I flash MIUI even though I am running voodoo?
Whatever state you are in when you make your nandroid, you need to be in when you restore. You definatley need to turn voodoo off before you try to install MIUI.
Disable it, boot normally, then reboot to recovery and start from there.

GAPPS is included in MIUI rom, unlike CM7. I did not have to install GAPPS.
I've been running Gingeritis for ages and decided to upgrade. My first choice was CM7, so I download it, throw it on my SD Card, boot into recovery, wipe everything then attempt to flash. I get no error message but when I go to reboot it stays locked on the HTC screen.
I've updated to the newest radio and am now running, or at least I think it flashed correctly, IMOSEYON (AOSP) leanKernel.
I've tried other ROMS and my phone won't take anything, it just stays on the HTC screen after giving me no errors during flashing.
Any help? I'm pulling my hair out over here.
Attempted a factory reset and wiped everything on the phone and nothing. It won't boot at all and there's nothing I can recover to now. Wonderful, am I screwed now?

Not anymore. I cleared everything hoping to go back to stock, I think all I have left is a blank slate.

What recovery are you using now? Then I will search for your latest version. The recovery can be in a PG05IMG.zip. Installation is the same as when you flashed the updated radios.
I'm on clockwork recovery, could that really be the problem not allowing it to fully flash the ROM?
Also, when I'm in recovery and trying to install these new ROMS they "finish" in less than 20 seconds...I know that's not normal.

I was trying to install the CM 10.1 cm_enrc2b-ota-eng.Lloir.zip on my HTC One X+. The device was already rooted and had the recovery TWRPNA.img Team Win Recovery Project. I copied the ROM to my HTC, reset factory settings and wiped the cache from recovery, but when I try to install always it says failed. I then realized I had to flash the kernel to boot-BLADE-42-201212251736.img, I did using fastboot. Then I tried to install the ROM once again and same error occurred and couldn't install it. After trying and trying I gave up and I tried to reboot the phone and it was stuck on the HTC One X logo. I tried to flash the TWRPNA.img back with no luck, since I never installed a new ROM. And the device was stuck. Now Im trying to install the RUU, I already relocked the phone, but when I run the RUU it gives me an error and it won't star.

So I flashed cm10 mod on my amaze and had made a backup.somehow the cm10 didn't work as i thought it would so i restored to my previous rom(ics) then I tried to flash the speed butter 9.0 rom and then again i restored back to ICS.then lastly i flashed Aokp rom but it kept saying ""the process com.android.phone has stopped" so I restored it to my stock rom(ICS).When I rebooted,it got stuck at htc t mobile android screen. 4EXT and S on.Apparently I have managed to save my device. What happened was that,I relocked the boot loader,downloaded the latest stock ruu and flashed it through the HTC amaze tool kit. All of the roms which I tried had problems,cm 10 would freeze a bit if I would swipe on the home screen,speed rom 9,wouldn't show me contacts when I would type a name and AOKP jelly bean rom kept giving me the "the process com.android.phone has stopped" error" . I don't think I will ever try flashing a custom rom now. But I wonder why it got stuck at boot screen when I restored the stock ICS rom in the end?. I thank you for your reply.

I think the problem was that when you flashed cm10 and aokp etc, 4ext flashed the cm kernel (obviously). But what 4ext is unable to do is restore a kernel (boot.img) when you are simply restoring a backup. Therefore you still had the cm kernel which isnt compatible with your stock rom you have backed up.
I think if you had just found a download for the stock ics kernel and flashed it you would have been fine. Or of course simply flashing the RUU will usually always fix anything too
hello friends wanted to know if I could help with a rom I put my htc Rezound which was its official rom 4.0.3 with locked bootloader unlock with which HTCDev because my wifi and bluetooth problems and change the boot.img and the cell was bricked me in htc screen and there is no step more, then install android systen recovery and install the rom you liquidsmooth and kenel funky but the Rezound stays in the animation of the rom and there does not pass I wonder if someone could help me I'm s-on bootloader unlock if any rom that works well with me these try installing an exe ruu but I think the 115 Error error loading the image. Thanks I hope to fix my htc.
What recovery did you use? Did you ever flash the boot.img after flashing the ROM? Also, you can't run a RUU without really being S-OFF. If you want some good ROMs, try out Chucktr's CM 11, bunchies Liquid smooth 3.2, or some other newer ROMs. Any should do. But after flashing them in recovery. You have to flash the boot.img manually in fastboot. Or else you will be stuck on boot logo forever. If you want to get back to stock, we can do that after you get booted.

Cm11 install the rom,gapps and your boot.img with this rom in the list of downloads to make the wipes and install everything and install the boot.img from fastboot and start tefono becomes trapped in the circle of blue animation like liquidsmooth know what would be the problem

Always ALWAYS extract boot.img from rom zip and use it.

Push the boot rom but still I stay in the blue circle with the name of CyanogenMod in an infinite animation that does not happen there is a splash screen, try changing the put recovery v2.7.1.0 and good while trying to clean I get the factory reset: factory reset failed, then all is well wipe cache, data, system.davilk install the rom fine but when installing i get GASPP failed, will try to update the recovery to see if that's, if you think you know where is my mistake I could say? thank you
thanks and could solve my problem this way: install the TWRP recovery-2.7.0.1-OpenRecovery-vigor.img is that I could run to perfection only thing I did not wanted to install gapps.4.4.4 then me DOWNLOAD the gapps4.4.4 (standard) cache.davilk wipe, data, system. all well factory reset then install the rom cm-11-20140605-UNOFFICIAL-standart vigor.zip and gapps, clear cache went back to bootloader and install the boot.img reincie and ready. thanks!!!:victory:
