Hi everybody. Sorry for my limited English. I just bought an mate 10 pro BLA-L29 and tried recording audio with smule's sing karaokes applications. Audio quality is very poor however i tried, with headphones or directly with smartphone's internal microphones. Nothing change.
I had ASUS zenfone 3 deluxe and everything was perfect. Anybody have the same problem?
Or the settings?
Thanks everyones
That's a problem you cannot fix on your own.
The Kirin 970 inside the phone uses the AI to "enhance" audio recordings.
If I call someone they have problems hearing me.
If however, a female uses my phone, the microphone quality is very good.
Apparently Huawei's AI for mic recordings is pretty bad when it comes to dark male voices.

Thank for your participation. You are right. I remarked that the voice is absent in some partitions when i sing with dark voice. I really appreciated the configuration of the mate 10 pro but this is unacceptable for me. ? Thanks again.
I wonder if this is the reason my voice keeps disappearing completely when I am using my bluetooth headset microphone. It is definitely a software problem as the headset works perfectly on other devices.
Actually... ahahha I just tested it again talking in a falsetto. It works perfectly. My normal voice is just an adult male voice, not Barry White level or anything (although I do love the sexy slither of a lady snake). I guess I can start talking that way for all phone calls...
Seriously that is an absolutely unacceptable software issue, is there a fix? Is there some way to turn this "feature" off??
Edit: having used it a few times (using an app called "bluetooth headset test" and speaking at a slightly higher than natural (for me) pitch, it seems like it is improving including when I now speak in my normal voice. This is pretty weird but perhaps it is the way the AI learns. I will keep tinkering with this.

Try another Mate10 pro, it may be a problem with the phone!
It might be a problem with the APP doesn't use the right APIs to have access to high quality recording.
You can test the audio quality by using the Huawei recorder.
The Mate has one of the best mics in a mobile phone, just behind what Nokia and LG are doing with their flagships.
Hi, has anyone else experienced incredibly poor audio recording with the Swift 2 Plus? Mine is updated to 7.1.2 but, ever since I've had it, recording of audio, be it just audio or audio on a video recording, sounds massively uneven and underwater. I have had the phone replaced by Amazon, same issue. Contacted Wileyfox (painful), they kept it for three weeks and sent it back with a factory reset which changed nothing and am now thinking of buying a new phone just so the audio issue can be resolved.
To clarify, normal audio playback is fine (music, YouTube etc...) it's just the playback of anything recorded.
Annoyingly, I really like the phone otherwise.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or does anyone have any tips towards resolving it?
Thanks for reading.
Hello!
So after I fixed my phones screen I've been having this strange beeping in video recordings and no sound in calls.
I've tried replacing the microphone board but that did nothing.
This has never happened to me before and I've fixed around 15 phone screens.+
What should I do? (I am willing to buy another part if needed)
"Water" bubble kind of weird sound with EXTERNAL Microphones while shooting video
"Water" bubble kind of weird sound with EXTERNAL Microphones while shooting video
I have been facing a problem while making every Video Shooting with this phone Mi 8 Pro (Equuleus) with External Microphone whether it is a Type C mic or using Type C to 3.5mm TRS adapter using any type of mic. Have been tested with 5 different types of different MIC but with the exact same disapointing results. There is a very annoying "WEIRD WATER BUBBLE" like sound in every video i shooted. This weird sound could be easily and clearly heard using any headphone and it totally ruined all my Video quality.
But when i switched to the native built in MIC , the weird sound gone. The native built in MIC doesnt provide a good sound quality as it is a kind of Omni directional mic which record the sound from all over the direction.
I have tried the Lineage 17.1 unofficial rom and Panaroid Android Quartz 5 rom which 100 % solved all the issue. The Videos shooted with the 5 exact same External Microphone was really GREAT in terms of sound quality , crisp and clear WITHOUT any Water Bubble Like weird sound ! I believed it is due to the fact that this two Roms are using the different KERNEL built.
But after trying the two different Android Built rom i actually prefered to stay with the MIUI OS, could anyone recommend me a well tweaked Miui version of Kernel that could get rid of this annoying issue? It would be very very helpful, thanks,
Hi Everyone,
Have been using my J8110 with Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus which was working really well, suddenly since yesterday I'm having an issue where the sound quality becomes really poor over bluetooth whilst in a call(including whatsapp, & signal calls), crisp sound quality as before when playing media music etc however as soon as I dial a call I can hear distorted background noise and sound becomes high pitched at the same time the person on the other end can't hear me too well. It's not the galaxy buds as I tested with 2 different phones and it worked fine. Also enabled developer settings and played around with the bluetooth codec/rate etc nothing has helped Anyone had similar experiences or ideas on how it might be fixed?
