Still, how to picture text with x8 camera? it's quite important to me, cause i'm a student.
also it would be nice to take clean and sharp pictures if hands r shaking, not blurry ones like now.
P.S. camera360 doesn't support digital zoom?
CameraZoom FX support zoom up to 6x.
to reduce blurry, ive set mine to sport mode... but make sure u hav good lighting for tht...

Maybe you know how to solve my kind of problem? I've instaled miniCM7 version in my x8 and when i o open camera there is only white screen and when i take a picture, the picture loks like green screen... Maybe you know some solutions to this?

This is a driver limitation for CM7 (Ginger) ROMS for Xperia. Try to reduce res to VGA (640x480). if you want the full 3Mpx, you need to use CM6 (Froyo) or Eclair

mmm, i tested the app and is wonderful, for the zoom I use the Crop option, the photos look less blurry with this, but to put the zoom is very fishy, first I select the shooting mode and then I can use the zoom mode, try it is worthy , finally i have zoom for my xperia x8, and with a nice quality, thx Edinhox

Try GingerDx and do a full wipe

Best Camera app I have installed yet is LG camera and camcorder.
Zoom in camera apps is absolutely useless, its the same maybe worse thing like you just increase image in any picture editor.
for me stock camera app is the best

Yes, zoom is virtual
LGcamera is the best... include camcorder n best audio record i think!!

I'm honestly thinking of switching up the camera apk from CM7.2 to the stock rom one. Is that possible?

That would be a great idea. I prefer the stock rom camera app, we could also use flash when recording video and the stock panorama was great!

Finally, i found and answer to that problem hehe, i was beginning to think it was only me with this camera zoom issue, and as cool as it is this camera app, it just doesn't work as expected, no zoom, no on/off button for taking pictures, etc. hehe, is there a way to take out the original camera apk from a stock rom and put it in cyanogenmod?

Lol.. I made a thread asking that. No its not possible. Then you'd have to edit the framework.apk or something and switch up a whole bunch of things in order to make the stock one work in CM7.
I had stock camera app working on cm7 you will actually also need to install all the samsung apps

Uhm ... then it just doesn't worth it, i have installed cyanogenmod to get rid of samsung stuff, so, i guess i will continue to testing camera 360, and i will seriously consider to get camera zoom fx, to see what can i do with this apps ...

If you want a simple decent camera go for lgcamera... if you want an amazing camera with lots of features go for Camera 360 or Camera ZoomFX....

i know that dude its also my favourite but we can't use in cynogenmod based roms thats why i'm asking

Use Stock camera from GingerBread. It has simplistic 'point-and-shoot' feature. I liked it most over all available apps in Market. The results are fast and good.

lgcamera is very simple and also has flash enabled when taking video. Highly recommended.It comes in free and paid version. Worths the money...go for it!!!

In my opinion, clarity wise Camera ZoomFX would be a better choice...

i tried and theres no preview, but it take pics anyways, and photo sphere does not work
I also get no preview, just a white screen. Still takes pictures. Panorama fc's. Video creates unplayable video file, and I don't know if photo sphere works as the screen is all white. Gallery seems to work, but FC's on a couple editing options. Hopefully an easy fix. I'm on epinters cm10 (10/29) with 1300 oc.

Yes I already tried that. I would do more experiments but I'm in Maui on vacation atm. Get back Friday though so I can give it a look then. I assume at the least someone could take what they can from the new camera and make a hybrid.

That is the version I'm using. Photo sphere probably works, but I can't see the screen to use it.

So i installed The new camera/gallery App... And it works, with preview . Video works, Photo works, panorama crashes,And even Photosphere enter in that mod, The calibration is wrong And when it takes the first part-Photo it crashes
I'm on cm10 "with some libs" 23/10/12

Make sure you have free space in /system , because y had only 400kb , after that , I deleted some apss, and it works, I think you need 7 mb at least

Very interested to see if we can get this up and running. Does the Atrix have a Gyroscope? I cant remember but I got the impression Photosphere requires one.

I have a stock Z2, no root and Android 4.4.4. I am not very happy with the default camera app. Focus is not working very good and gives me bad pictures. Does anyone have some suggestions on a good camera app and which app are you using to take pictures?

First of all next time post in Q&A section. Stock camera app is the best app for our device. I'm on stock 4.4.4 on locked BL without root and images on superior auto are beautiful looking and very sharp. :good:

Pro Capture,A Better Camera, Cameringo+,Snap Camera hdr and Google Camera are great alternatives

It's because the TW have the drivers and some optimizations to improve the camera quality. CM have open source drivers, and that's why it have worse quality than TW roms.

A Better Camera (resp. the Pro Version) is my choice .
Pictures are pretty good, tons of features and ... AFAIK ... the only Market Camera with HDR Support.

The app I used that took pictures with closer quality stock camera app was the Camera ZOOM FX.
So what now?
