I have to run i9000 roms on my vibrant (since i9000 officially supporting arabic language ) , I successfully flashed the i9000 froyo 2.2 with the froyo2.2 vibrant stock kernel and modem .. the device started to vibrate intermittently and restarts . when I put the device to the fight mode , it runs smoothly so the culprit is the modem , tried several modems posted in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=868774 put still having the problem ! even after putting the i9000 kernel .
we now that the problem has limited between the kernel and the modem ..
Any one knows a working combination ??

It is neither - problem, according to Eugene, is in the settings jar file.
I know you really want this to work but please search for Ragnarok and you will see in the thread that what you are trying plus lots more has been done already. Send me a link to the rom you are trying to make work.

ok i flash my vibrant to 2.2 froyo ka7 and then i installed darky.
but then i see i cant do videocall
how can i solve it
i plug another simcard not t-mobile
so i can do audiocall but i cant do video call

if video call wontwork on both sim cards common sense would tell me the rom does not include video callin , or reinstall the rom if rom says it supports video callin maybe when you installed the rom some files got misplaced and not installed properly . (or maybe DEAD HORSE kernel does not support video calling ) ? ? ?

i have been banging my head in my vzn fsc since past 10 days ,
created 2 threads about how i can upgrade the ROM and i donno what not , but my issues seem to be never ending .
i am following those threads as well if someone can help me out ,
so the crux is i am using this handset in INDIA with RELIANCE settings , Its currently on DL09 ( seems to be working only on DL09 and EB01 stock )
i have tried flashing SC , community , and evil fascination , etch , but more often then now , after doing everythingb successfully , i get stuck on first boot at SELECT LANGUAGE SCREEN , which just wont buzz despite selecting langauge
so after 4 days i have given up and flashed DL09 ( adrenalyns stock version DL09.tar.md5 (308.47 MB) )
and thats , i dont think i can install any tweaked ROM
anyways can you guyz suggest me what more i can do after installing DL09 , i mean anything else that i can flash in it like some better radio , or so fix to make it use lesser battery and improve performance and voice quality.

as its about DL09 only ,
waiting since yesterday in those threads for replies , they pertain to issues involving what ROM to choose , how to fix SELECT LANGUAGE crap.
in here i am just asking for enhancements for DL09

well i tried to flash one of those i500 roms on my fascinate just for the heck of it ( i think it was for an Indian cdma operator for I500)
it was a fascinate Rom alright , didnt like it ED05 EH18
but since then i am not able to odin anything , either it stops at recovery or some other point, but mostly at recovery .
i can access the download mode , but odin flashing isnt possible now, no matter which STOCK rom i use they arent getting thru , always get stuck at this or that point.
plz help

are you familiar with ADB? you can push a stock image file that way... cayanogen website has a great tutorial on it.
TBH I am not familiar with adb at all .
but the issue was resolved , looks like my usb cable was the culprit and man !! i wasted the whole night trying to figure that out ( and LOL that too was suggested by wife )

this all happened with me getting bored og GB
actually i thought of flashing TEAMHACKSUNG's latest ICS build , somehow when i was transferring it to sd card , nothing was happening so i forcefully removed the cable and tried a few times , but it failed , In the end managed to transfer it via WIN 7 ( previously was using XP )
but when i flashed it via CWM , following proper procedure it failed , i donno what was that and my ordeal started .
and now XP wont recognise the phone neither in ODIN nor in mass storage , so doing it all via win 7
appreciate the help.

The latest THS (7.1) has a few bugs still since it is new. I have been running 6.5 for well over a month with no problems. I don't have any experience with AOKP, but there are many people who choose it over THS. I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

Ths is like vanilla, and aokp is like...... Well it has more ability to customize than about any rom i have seen.

Aokp 28 w/ glitch 14 b6 is the best combination of rom/kernel I have ever used...no reboots, no lag, no sod's, good battery life, and customization like you cant imagine.

i got samsung i9003 with a froyo stock rom
so everytime i try to use the front camera it doesnt work
i mean it works but dosesnt capture any photo
then i tried to update to the gingerbread stock rom
the front camera worked perfectly but the device started to hang all the time
specially after i lock the screen then it doesnt respond for anything until i reconnect the battery
i tried a lot of stock firmwares 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 and 2.3.6 all the gingerbread updates
i also updated the device with kies and updated with the software update in the settings
and the same problem still
i also tried a gingerbread custom roms including ice cream sandwish custom roms
andi couldnt find a froyo custom rom
but i guess the problem is hardware not a software
i dont know what to do
i removed the front and back camera from the device , the problem stills .
please help me , i am trying to solve this problem from 3 months

Hello, I have a problem with my wifi, it won't work on any rom except the samsung one.
I use supernexus 3.0 on 3 other phone and no problems, they have the same baseband (i9300xxemg4)
any suggestion ?
Wifi is kernel not baseband .
Try a kernel change if you mean it does not work on non samsung roms .
Search read multiple posts on wifi not working on non Samsung roms .
You should ask in the relevant roms thread for what's wrong with the rom .
yes but the exactly same rom on another phone with the same baseband works well ...
