Hi,
Last week I bought O2 Xda II (IMEI:351938003270010) from Taiwan and this product include Rom Chinese Language which is difficult for me to understand. So would any one please tell me if it is possible to change this Rom language from Chinese to English Language and if that possible how can I do that?
Pleassssssssse heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
we can trade, I don't mind mine in Chinese
Thanks baboyako, for replay put I still want to know How can I change the Language.
:?:
the language can only be changed by changing to a rom of the desidered langauge
Thanks Rudegar, and I agree with you that the best way to change language it can be by changing the rom, but I heard there was some people upgraded their O2xd II by other Language like from German or France Language to English Language.
So, I am look forward to hearing good news about this subject.
by changing the rom
or
by 3th party software which
1. hack the rom replace the hardcoded text in it to text of another language
2. capture text when display'd and translate it to the other language ?
the 1. would require the hack to know all texts in the rom and possibly all programs in the extented rom aswell
2 would also have to know all the texts to have translations ready and it would require extre cpu time making the device slower
are you sure they just dident upgrade their xda to a rom with a different language ?
it does sound much easier
Thanks Rudegar,
And I am very happy to charring me this problem, and about your qustion, last week I tried with my friend to upgraded my O2 xda II by English Language (UK) rom upgrade, but did not worked and always gave us massage Error Code 120.
Regard to a 3th party software is not free and I will try to buy it as soon as possible.
and do you Know any other free program can help for changing language instead of 3th party software and do you know some one has an experience at the same problem?
I've done that job serveral times. Just get the ROM you want, use ER2003 to modify it then install.
if it's the country code error then this thread is about that

Hi hungdu,
Would you please explain step by step how did you do that ?
HI
i appreciate it if somebody tell me how we can customize any ROM to support foreign languages "Japanese, Chinese, Arabic ... etc"!?
I', affraid that it is not possible. You just can use "more locale" custom local or something to set up your language so app, which have your language support will switch into it.
i have rom the i build with language (he)
now i need to add the language to the language list
i do not want to use more local
i need this built-in
and if it not complicated
Also be default
Can someone direct me the relevant files
And what to change them
Thanks ...
By the way
Version is the original version
plus Hebrew .
Hi All,
I have a question about regional settings in Android.
It's only possible to change tha language & Region together.
I want to use my phone in English Language but in a different Regional setting...
Is it possible with an option or additional software.
Thanks,
Numan
I found the solution with an application.
App called Custom Locale will help you...
You can select locale from list or you can create your own locale...
Hey guy's I'm having a little trouble adding support for traditional chinese and arabic into my ROM (in my sig). I know to add support into a ROM you add some code into "/system/customize/cid/default.XML" for different languages. Problem is, I don't know the language code for traditional chinese or arabic. My ROM is based off a stock Sense 3.6 RUU for my phone.
To add support for those languages, do I just need to add code to default.XML like I did to add support for australian english? Do I have to download a chinese RUU and take some language files from that ROM?
I would really appreciate some input on this matter, thanks.
I want to know this too. I was ready to learn and become a cook but is it really needed when you wish to install a language on a existing ROM?
Is it possible?
