[Q] Resizing widgets - Vibrant Themes and Apps

Does anyone know of any apps that can resize widgets excluding launcher pro paid version? I'm trying to complete an android7 homescreen without buying the paid version - I flash roms too often to re-download and mess with possibly re-purchasing an app.

Purchased apps follow your g mail account I think so if your using the same account you shouldn't have a problem. I'm not sure about any other apps that do that but if they exist they are probably paid apps as well

i read somewhere that 'go launcher' can resize widgets free but i just like launcher pro

Adw ex paid as well. You should never have to re purchase

[Request] Large mail widget for CM7?

Back on the stock ROM, the htc mail thing had a large 4x2 widget for mail, so I always used that over the Gmail app
I've looked at the marketplace through all the mail clients, and I've been using K-9 mail for the time being but I'd much prefer that other one again that HTC put on the mt4g when I got it
Is it available somewhere? Maybe an app very similar to it?
you can use launcher pro or android pro widgets ( paid .99 cents but you can probably find it on a fileshare website.)
Launcher Pro Plus has sense like Widgets.

Launcher Pro Plus only has a Gmail widget that no longer works.
Android Pro Widgets does not contain any email widget (There are too many email clients and the stock one does not provide any accessible API).
Anyway it's just 99 cents so please don't suggest others to steal it

I suggest you try Pure messenger widget. It has K-9 email support.

Screw the new facebook app

Does anyone else find it absurdly intrusive that there's a "Camera" icon in your drawer that's linked to facebook? And of course, like Places, there's no way to uninstall the camera without uninstalling facebook.
Total garbage.
You know, no one is forcing you to use facebook or their app...
You can use your browser and their mobile site as an alternative.
I prefer friendcaster pro...great alternative
Try Tinfoil, it's just a mobile wrapper and works great:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.danvelazco.fbwrapper&feature=search_result
It's rather annoying having the camera and messenger in my app drawer.
Uninstalled that update quick fast. No thanks
Sorry but having one or two more icons in my app drawer does not at all effect me... Maybe bc I have so many apps
Sent from my Dinc... I mean Rezound
Use a custom launcher. Most of them let's you hide apps in the drawer.
Sucks that when youwant to post a pic, it no longer prompts for gallery or camera...it just goes to the dumb camera app and then you can pick gallery...just an added step or 2 that not very streamlined.

In ucs u can always disable them.

Best way to password-protect an app?

I'm looking for a way to password protect an app. Preferably a method that requires root (instead of just downloading an app that does that. Because you can just delete the app and the password's gone).
Any way? If not, then the best app.

I found an app on google play, its called: Smart App Protector, I don't know for any root - based locks

App Lock
I use App Lock,
beside the apps I want to protect, I also locked System Setting and Play Store so no one without password can uninstall/install application.
@Buddy39914
I use Hide It Pro to protect all my applications and files.
It might not put password in every applications or files you have but I tell you, Hide It Pro does more on it. search it on Google Play Store and have a try, read some comments over there to give you an insight.
Goodluck

Optimus G Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Safe to Freeze List

Hi guys
I was just wondering if we can make a full list of stock and bloat apps that are safe to freeze.
I know it is not so hard to know which ones to freeze but I think it is still useful!
Thanks

I freaking love freezing AT&T's useless bloatware and a few days later I remove it. AT&T and DELL love to pack their devices with tones of **** I wonder who thinks this type of software is helpful. The reviews of the apps recommended by AT&T on Google Play are awful Nobody likes them.
I also removed LG keyboard, chrome and all the Google apps, I kept Gmail and Youtube though.
Does it have the same bloat as in 4.0.4?

That's what I thought.
That's not true I removed them all with root explore. All those on that list and more, just have to unlock with freegee first before deleting them.

You can remove them,at least that's what I do without any "side effects" I have been using Uninstaller Pro for years, there's pro (paid version) and the free one. Don't forget what whoamanwtf is saying and unlock with Freebee,in order for you to avoid surprises or the security error.
Be sure you are unlocked before you freeze/remove or you will get security error.

You can uninstall apps however they advice freezing over uninstalling because it has basically the same exact effect. However, with freezing, you can always unfreeze in case something is screwed up or you change your mind about an app or something.
as others said, if you are rooted and unlocked on stock jb, you can use titanium backup to uninstall all apps that have ATT in their name. i have done this and have no security errors or OS error popups.
