To do this, open your dialer and dial:
1. Open the standard Android Phone (Dialer) application
2. Enter *#*#checkin#*#* on the dialer keypad ( *#*#2432546#*#*) DO NOT PRESS CALL
3. On the last entry of the *, your phone will pause while it is checking for updates.
4. Once it has completed, you will see a yellow exclamation icon in the notification bar letting you know that checkin has been completed and if an update exists you should be notified.
5. It also appears that Market updates are also rechecked as part of this process, so any new updated applications will also notify you to update your applications
You'll be "checked in" and any available updates will be forced to your phone instead of waiting for your turn during the roll out.

I just acquired a Huwei U8652. I guess it's supposed to be a lot like the Sonic.
I can't get any of the roots/roms for the Sonic to work.
Has anyone had any success getting the "Fusion" rooted/rom'd?
Thanks
Anyone? I'd really like some input

U8652 Root
This will get you a Partial root.. Enough to Remove a Majority of the Pre-Loaded apps.. Thanks to a Chinese site for the info..
Only a few items that are pre-loaded that I was unable to remove via Titanium backup/other s/w methods:
Docs to go 3.003
Layar 5.0.2
Twitter 2.0.2
Uno 3.1.3
YP 3.0.3
All the above have : "Failed to locate the apk file." error in TB..
I will be Including the original link in the post.. I have cleaned up the English Translation to match more what you see on the phone as well..
(1) Activate "USB debugging": Settings - Applications - Development - USB debugging;
(2) ADB driver installed: When I plug this phone in to my computer, It has drivers listed in a virtual cd-rom drive.
(3) Dial, *#*#2846579#*#*
(4) Go to: Project Menu - background Setting - Log Switch - LOG on;
(5) Download DooMLoRD_v3_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su, extract.
(6) Connect the phone to computer, make sure ADB is active and driver installed.
(7) Execute runme.bat, follow the prompts, Phone will auto restart.
I did have to run it a 2nd time to get a successful Root, but it worked well (Except the above isues) I also had a wireless issue after successfully completing the above ..
Couldn't connect to any WiFi networks.. Performed a Factory reset, and all uninstalled apps remained removed.

Unable to delete stock apps
Root Browser Lite will delete all those apps. I deleted a little too much with RBL and now I can't get my phone to work at all! Trying OEM Rom now.

After update with ICS 4.04, the phone can no longer connect with the handsfree of car (blue & me). This requires pairing with a random code to be inserted. No longer appears the screen for entering the code. It seems to be a common problem for all devices xperia with ICS. There are news and solutions?
Android 2.3.4 worked fine ...
In my case everything was OK with the first ICS release. But after the update to "B" version, I can't access the contact list in my car any longer.....
This is the temporary solution I found:
1) Turn on bluetooth on your smartphone and open a contact card.
2) Start the pairing of hands-free of the car.
3) When the blue & me asks for the code, send the contact via Bluetooth: The phone searches for other devices. Selecting "Blue & Me", you have the opportunity to enter the code presented on the dashboard.
4) Now Blue & Me will ask you to copy the address book: Select "Yes".
5) In the notification bar of smartphone is prompted to connect bluetooth: select "do not ask for more" and accept the request.
Now the blue & me work like with gingerbread.

The problem that the downloading takes a bit of time because the package is 2.6 GB. I even though the fiber 100 took almost a quarter of an hour. Then there is also the fact that the server knows where the file can be blocked by our connections. Try several times. One important thing and that the proxy anyway before starting the actual download is disabled.
I followed the steps, but I find myself with a version probably wrong, NRD90M test-keys, what should I do? Many basic functions do not work, I don't even have access to update function in settings.

I do not know which version of firmware you had, because I specified that ranged follow the directions according to the Roma who had one installed. My advice and try all over again. Keep in mind that just ago, having again put the VIE-L09C02B133 version and installing the new version directly using the TWRP recovery, me too I came out the same words 'NRD90M test-keys' that came out to you. In fact, now I'm starting all over again, starting to come from the VIE-L09C02B128 version and to follow.
I was able to make activate google assistant in my rooted android instance on Chromebook Pro. However, I get stuck on the screen "setting not supported". Any ideas? Assistant on this thing would be a game changer. I can't take a picture of the actual error box because google greys out screenshots when sensitive dialog boxes are being displayed. The warning is literally just "setting not supported" I'm guessing there is no assistant support at all in this version of android but maybe it's possible to add it?
can chromebook plus do that?
can you please post your method?
I had it!!!!
I was able to get Google Assistant working on my rooted Chromebook cb3 - 532 using Google app version 6.11.19.21 and the latest assistant app on the playstore.. However, no sooner than I updated, it was no longer working. I came up with another idea which I'm trying out now.... I'm attempting to alter two PROP files using the rooting shell scripts provided by Nolirium at blogspot for rooting chrome os to make the drive writable and set selinux to permissive, in order for my changes to build.prop and default.prop to survive the reboot, and be effective.

Hey!!!
Actually it is possible on all chromebooks in the canary channel. I’ve done it to my dell chromebook 11 candy model from 2015. Here is how you do it:
1. Be in developer mode (assuming you already are in it.)
If you aren’t in it and don’t know how to, press esc+refresh+power. When it boots up, press control+d and again when it boots up again. NOTE THIS DOES POWER WASH YOUR DEVICE!!!
2. Once you sign into your account again, press control+alt+t and a terminal will show.
3. Type in “shell” and hit enter.
4.Then type in “live_in_a_coal_mine” and press enter again.
5. Press “y”
6. when it is done, go to your settings and update your machine.
7. When it is done, go to chrome://flags and search for “assistant” and then enable it.
8. Then reboot.
9. When your device is done rebooting, go to chrome://assistant-optin and follow the instructions. 10. Then you have google assistant installed!!!
You can find it in the launcher. It’s the assistant button next to the search bar. If you set voice activation, you can also activate it by saying “ok google” or “hey google”
this is some security fault report, i ask for directions, either fixing ( officially ) or where to report further
sorry for its one line it was for one line chat
hello, where to report the follwing: i heard of newest win11 build 'smart app control' ( or something ) feature, that needs reinstall, so i installed newest win11 build and reinstalled, then problems appeared.. in security center, to check, it said 'needs action' and 'engine unavailable' - i went to that app smart control feature and saw 3 options, 'on' 'evaluation (marked)' and 'off', i tried pressing from evaluation to on, but big fails came: it instantly said many dlls errors i dunno, and win-f for feedback with screenshot seemed to segfault, so no result there. then after x times 'ok' to dll error dialog | the 'evaluated (not marked anymore)' is now 'off (marked)' | i noticed somewhere it said mcafee, so i checked the apps list, had 2x mcafee | side note , core isolation on said incompatible drivers: mcafee_somehting.dll | - i tried uninstalling this mcafee realtime but it said system integrity harmed, and didnt let me install, the other small 'mcafee security' i did uninstall np ly but the problem is this mcafee realtime of 900mb installed size, and i couldnt uninstall it.. then on reboot it hung on the loading sign, on a second and third reboot it hung on moving loading circle ( windows loading circle without hp logo already ) and transferring data over wifi hotspot of my phone ... where to report this ..
