You can try out the Brazilian froyo on samfirmware.com - it is pretty smooth and no need to change the language - BUT you will need to fix the GPS.
Sorry!
I didn't find anything like that in the samfirmware.com site, can you tell how to find that or the name of the or code of the firmware.
I9000BVJJPD
BUT, it WILL cause signal strength soft boot problems if you plan on using it on the T-959
Is it possible to use the 9000 firmware in T959?

Anyone know anything about the version sold in Korea? It's called a T*Omnia II and comes in two versions, sch-M710 and sch-M715, which just have different amounts of memory as far as I can tell. They are wcdma, but are not identical to the verizon versions. The obvious differences are they have a UIM card (I guess), and they support DMB (digital TV reception). I don't know what if anything else is different.
Any guess if it's possible to flash the same OS part of the rom as the other versions can use? I'm kind of guessing this could mess up some hardware support, at least the DMB stuff. I could live with losing DMB. I'd want it to still work in Korea though, mostly just interested in getting it to work in English.
Only thing I know, samsung finally made a working MainMenu.

Hey Rfx64,
there is a phone.bin part that you can find it on internet. i found it on chinese web page which is i don't remember what it named. sorry.
Hi bilguunbayr,
thank you for feedback.
I am looking for this phone.bin file for longer time but I am still unsucessful.
The only file I found was ROM .nb0 file, version DB22, SCH-M715 but .bin file no chance. From forum base knowledge I found it can be flashed by OCTANS. Flash files for european OMNIA II are available on many sites but very few for this korean T-OMNIA II version.
If I understood it correctly SIM-LOCK could be removed by flashing phone.bin part of the ROM. Now I have PDA and CSC version DH25, phone DG22 (latest).
Dear bilguunbayr, I would be very thankful if you could help me to find this phone.bin file as I cannot. I can reward you with paypal donation if I am sucessful to unlock with your file/help.
EDIT: I already found phone.bin part for M715, currently solving how to flash with octans according flashguide...

Dear Rfx64,
Can you send me your ROM "PDA and CSC version DH25, phone DG22 (latest)", is it English ROM or still be in Korean.
Thanks
As the title says, which Firmware/ROM and CSC supports Android in Japanese?
I'd like to have both English (UK) and Japanese as a language option.
My Nexus S supported both from the box.
Could someone tell me which CSC / Firmware support Japanese?
SC02COMKF2 (CSC is DCM)

Thanks!
But where to get the firmware package?
And when I do, I can just flash the CSC over another Firmware?
Not available on the Kies/Cuf server yet.
That is unfortunate.
However, I presume that if I find a CSC that has DCM included, I could get proper Japanese support.
I will keep looking

im in the same boat, i flashed the DCM CSC but the language dosent fully change in the phone OS to japanese, if you see in the nexus S the menus etc are in japanese when you flash the dcm csc only part of of the os is in japanese
Bah, and here I hoped a DCM CSC would solve all
Then I guess I should search the net for a SC-02C Firmware with CSC and see what that does.
As there is no update available via KIES, I don't know where to look (yet) but if I find something I will update this thread.
Im looking for the same thing too, please update too if you found the way to change it to Japanese Thanks alot
So there's still no way to fix this?
I have a Galaxy S i9000 and no official firmware have real japanese support (you can install japanese keyboard and read japanese but not japanese menus). What I did was installing cyanogenmod that have full japanese support. It has some drawbacks as battery doesnt last as long as the stock firmware but I'm happy so far.
I need this too.. Comes in handy at times.
Hello, I'm sharing this rom, it's the latest build available for Latin America S5830LUBKPL. I removed the CSC (no carrier customization) and I've included the latest modem (baseband) available for the Brazilian device S5830BVJKPE. So, no more problems with band frequencies.
It includes English, Español, Brazilian Portuguese PT-BR and Korean as languages and is a One Package file.

S5830L - http://www.mediafire.com/?bubhtmd555vihpq
PS:
B - Unbranded with the latest modem for the B model only.
L - Unbranded only, kept the original modem for the L model only.
Mmm, this works as Original UBKPL... Have all the google features and else?
Yes

Hi guys! Here's my question... I bought my SGA overseas and it is the S5830 version (no B or L). Now I'm in Argentina and the only data connection I get is GPRS (that is only by 2G). I know that the band frequencies of the carriers are not the same here and overseas so, is it possible to make the 3G connection to work??? I mean, what if I flash a new L-version modem??? Or is it that the basebands are hardware defined... Thanks a lot, cheers.-
It's hardware related, you can't change frequencies by flashing a different modem.
Very nice!

Wonderful
I use it when I return to base

Thanks for the rom, it goes very well in my S5830L
Hey,
I have a 5830B and since the first time I tried a custom ROM the number changed to 5830 without the B and whenever I connect to my provider using 3g the screen randomly turns off and I have to press the power button to lock the phone an then the home button to recover from this state.
The only way to use the phone without this problem is by using EDGE intead of 3g.
Do you think that if I flash this ROM this problem will solve?
Yes, it will, flash it and wipe data using the recovery.
Thanks for your answer. I will try it inmediately
If you won't mind I'll move this to the S5830i Android Development Section.
But this not work on i version.
wrong section no? this is Galaxy Ace S5830i Android Development
yeah , its posted in wrong section , well i tested the UBKL rom in SGA s5830L model, and not work the 3G network , only Edge .
I configure my apn's for my carrier (Digicel Panama).
So my problem now, is how activate the 3G data.
I also have a s5830i, with the same apn's, and the 3g conection work very fine :victory:
I don't now if the phone s5830L have a setting o tweak that i not activated or sometime
-- Sorry for my very bad english, i speak spanish...
ROM's for the model B don't work in I / C / M...... Wrong section.
My bad. Moving back
I have another question.
Is it possible to flash this with CWM? or I have to use Odin necessarily
Odim
Hi,
I need to add Brazilian portuguese to the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S III i747. Is there a way to flash a rom with Portuguese on to it? I am a total newbie, so a little hand holding will be great.
I also need to add Hebrew to another i747, so any pointers for that will be great.
If you point me to a tar + pit file for ODIN, that'll be ideal. I've used it once before for a Galaxy S 4G
hi all,
I've recently bought a note II to and was planning to hand over the phone to my dad.
And since my dad can only read chinese, I was planning to install a new chinese rom.
The SII i have is the international version GT-I9100.
I was planning on doing this with ODIN, but im not sure if there will be any compatability issues.
I also found this guidehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916623
but got stuck at step 7.
I removed the battery and then connected it to my laptop but there was not reaction.

As far as I know i900g's roms and kernels aren't compatible with i9100's and vice versa....it can lead to bricking your phone.
You can't just change the language in phone to chinese?
