I seen someone with a vibrant who had their top right clock completely removed. Since I use a clock widget, I have no need for two clocks on the same screen. Can someone show me how to do it?

unless you know how to write .xml's or edit .dex files, you are out of luck. i did a search for a transparent clock for the Vibrant but found nothing. the only other thing i could think of would be to apply this morph: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=809521 and then use a black wallpaper, so the clock would just blend in
(If you dont like the other parts of that theme, i could help you edit it)
Thanks for the quick reply.
Here is a link where I seen the clock removed.

perfect!!!
Services.jar is where the clock settings can be found. I haven't removed the clock before, but I have changed its color a few times. There have been writeups out there for exactly how to do it, but unfortunately, most of them seem to now have broken links.
Also, services.jar packages are somewhat rom specific, so you're probably going to have to do the modifications yourself or find some nice themer to do it for you.
Edit:

Well there you go! Simply push that services.jar to your /system/framework and you're good to go.

I just created a thread for this like 2 days ago. It had a link and pictures fire three .jar file you want. It's also in the development section if you'd rather just go there.
Edit: it was in the theme section

ok let me try this again...
Go to market
Download mm, ninjamorph, silver edit, and astro.. While here pick up a random icon pack... (your first morph)
Open silver edit..pick new xml.. Here is a template. Replace the dashes - with less than/greater than < .. They won't show on xda
-?xml version="1.0"?-

-themeversion-1.x-/themeversion

Open ninja morph, choose the apk you want to modify.. The images you want to change are in res folder in the drawable dir.. choose the icon and replace it with one out of the icon pack..
Open astro.. Go to android themes.. Make new directory, Theme_Name.. Open the workspace folder..this is where the changed apk is... Copy res folder.. Paste it inside Theme_Name.. Delete everything but drawable... Open the silver edit folder in astro and copy Theme_Name.xml and paste it with your new res folder... You just made a morph on your phone...
Open meta morph..start checks and chose existing... Click Theme_Name and Theme_Name.xml, apply all...
Your original images from your apk are in backup inside android themes...
Thanks stericson for 2 great apps
I used this method today to build a metamorph theme... I used dropbox, a free app from the market to upload it for the community... I dont even need a comp anymore...

Haven't got to try this yet but I've noticed your always willing to teach ppl how to theme so I just wanted to say thank you. This community is lucky to have you around.
Hey. Just wanted to know if its possible to use created icons from scratch in place of the original icons. But the original icons will always be in that folder right.?
And is there an alternative way instead of metamorph.Thanks.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Nevermind. I was able to edit and modify the icons through ninja morph. I changed the wireless and cell signal bars so far ill post a screen shot if interested.

Well I haven't really had the ability to do lately... and those that can't do, teach.. I was lucky to get in on the bottom floor and learn before xda got cluttered with a bunch of ppl that just take... I figure this is my way to give back to the real devs that put out quality work but can't make their roms perfect for everybody... so that anybody can make the small edits to make their phone perfect for them...

I think the clock is the fusion.apk...unless your talking about the lockscreen.

I have been looking into this and some devastating who did cm7 for other devices like the incredible were able to make this possible. I saw a zip with 100% 75% and 50% transparent.

It does all the heavy lifting for you. As long as you can use the find function in a text editor you should be fine. You'll only need to change one line, and it will tell you the line and what to change it to. Once you've done it it will give you two update.zips, one to do the mod one to undo it.

The cm7 themes with transparent statusbar rely on this patch. In other words, this patch wont make ALL themes transparent, but will enable the ones that support it to work properly. Otherwise they'll just "ghost".

Yes, some themes for Cyanogen do have transparent status bar. Most of those themes, you have to pay for.
