[Q] JTAG - Optimus One, P500, V General

Is it possible to use JTAG through USB to unbrick Optimus One that will not boot up at all (as in dead, no logos, no emergency mode, no recovery)?
If yes, how can I do this?
Thanks!

Ok, skip the USB cable. Can I disassemble my phone and JTAG a bootloader and custom recovery on it, in order to unbrick it (I cannot turn on at all!!!)
Thanks!

In this I think that waranty is better way.Or its not possible?

I would have to ship it to Hong Kong, then ask someone to bring it into urban city.

Software Reflash

After failing to unlock my HTC z using the software it is now not switching on. Does anyone know what i can do? Or where i can reinstall the original software from because HTC is refusing to take the phone as the only fix European phones. Or does anyone know what i can tell them. Please someone help me. I havve been trying for a month. PLZ PLZ PLZ.
Does anyone know what i can do to repair it. Or does anyone know how much i would get for it on ebay.
I was following the instructions. But then it said the phone will now reboot. After that it just went dead. Does that help anyone. Please help me.
try taking the battery out and putting it back in to see if you get any response from the device... if you do get a response then turn the phone on in bootloader mode, and flash your OFFICIAL carrier rom to it
I had this same problem when I first tried unlocking my 8525.
I can get into bootloader mode. If i press the power button nothing happens. But if i try to hard reset it starts and then the screen goes blank again.
Get it into bootloader mode and flash your official carrier rom... The ROM that came with the phone.. What kind of phone is it?
I dont have the cd so that doesnt work.
You can probably DOWNLOAD the ROM somewhere.. what kind of phone is it and who is your cell provider?
It is a HTC Z. It is on NTT do co mo
Ok.. do you use HTC Europe?
Yes as i saw it somewhere else.

I purchased it from japan.
when i contacted htc europe they said send it to japan.
Find the official ROM for it, and flash that, that will fix your problem, then Follow MrVanx's guide to unlocking.
do you have any ideas where i can get that from
I have no idea... maybe someone here has it.. Or check the WIKI .. maybe they have one there.
cheers mate ill have a look. Do you know if i can buy it from anywhere
I have no idea... I don't think someone will charge you for it...
can i get it from htc
please Madcap180, does bootloader mode means safe mode too?

[How-to] Repair Damaged Bootloader + Trim Area [Red Led][Unknown Device]

Hello again
Sometimes we can brick our devices by a bad unlock, flashing process, or simply bad luck.
The phone doesn't turn on and there is a Red Led Of Death when pressing power button. Even with a GREEN led when we plug the phone with back key pressed the computer detect the phone as "unknown device" so there is no chance to get fixed by Flashtool or SEUS/PC Companion.
Well this problem normally means that the bootloader is broken or damaged. So, in order to fix it we need to write a new SEMCboot and after this we were able to flash a full and fresh firmware with flashtool and unbrick our Xperia.
This process like unlocking process requires SETool dongle/box and a paperclip to make a testpoint to put the phone in flash mode and be able to write the SEMCBoot.
I can help to anyone with a bricked Xperia Arc/Play/Neo/Pro just make send me a PM.
Like unlocking process you will need this 3 programs:
SETool software for unlocking
USB Over network client for remote dongle
Teamviewer client for remote support and guide
THIS PROCESS IS FREE
anyway if you want me to buy a Dr. Peper just
Sometimes even after fix the bootloader the phone doesn't want to boot. In most cases this is by a damaged TRIM AREA (TA).
The trim area is a part of softwere stored in eeprom so it can be read and write with the proper software like SETool.
Read and Write trim area is very easy but you should know that some sectors of the TA are unique for you phone, lets call it Security Units.
The process for repair trim area is indeed very easy.
For sure we need Testpoint like in unlocking or bootloader repair process.
1. Backup Security Units with this script:
Code:
taread:00020851
taread:000207D3
taread:000207Da
2. Write a Working TA backup from another phone (same model)
3. Restore Security Units.
Thats all, now your phone should boot well but is 90% possible that you dont get Signal so for fix that we need to unlocking.
If this last thing is needed you can refer to this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1232050
This could be helpful
That's great news. Thanks

[Q] x10 wont go into the bios thingy to let me hard reset?

Hello all,
Got an xperia x10 of a friend, now im trying to do a hard reset on it by doing this -
Turning it off
Hold the bottom left and right key and then press the on button to try and get it to go into the bios thingy? (not sure what they call in on phones)
and it wont work it just turns on??
Getting annoying as im also thinking about rooting the phone and putting jelly bean or ICS on it but I cant as I cant get into the bios thing
Help would be great please
Sorry its an xperia x10i if that makes any difference
for the "BIOS" thing. Do you mean recovery?
if you don't have it then just get it via flashtool
There is no hard reset n x10 only soft reset,or do it by this way:
1 From the Xperia 10 Home screen, tap the applications bar.
2 Tap Settings > SD card & phone storage > Factory data reset > Reset phone.
3 Enter your screen unlock pattern.
4 Tap Erase everything.
or just use pc companion to wipe everything
Hello, Cheers for the replys, yes that's the recovery I meant, but hmm im new to all of this.
and cheers will give that wiping a go..
So my phone is currently on 2.3.3
all standard,
Can one of you or someone help me with the following,
First I need to unblock it as it is currently locked to virgin or tmobile I think and I would like to use either o2 or orange,
I would then like to Root it and then install ICS or JB on it
I have never done this before so as much help would be really appreciated
Thank
You need to find a shop or someone who uses setool 2 to unlock the phone as it will unlock the bootloader at the same time, if you use any other software to unlock the phone you wont have any network if you unlock the bootloader afterwards the only ways to have a signal is by unlocking with setool 2 or via the unlock code from the network provider, once your bootloader is unlocked you can proceed to flash an ics/jb rom just follow the instructions posted on which ever rom you want to install.

[Q] Anyone got JTAG equipment who can repair my boot?

I was flashing my Lumia 720 when the power went out, so I now have a bricked Lumia. It won't turn on.
It shows up as qualcomm qhsusb_dload
I have seen videos of people using JTAGS to repair the boot and was wondering if anyone could do this for me (for a fee of course) or if they could tell me what I need to do this.
They would also need a copy of the Boot ROM and Boot Loader. Not easy to get unless you are an authorized repair center or somebody wants to JTAG it from their phone assuming it is not read protected once it is burned to the device.
Well the program that I have seen used is called ATF JTAG and the files it used to fix the boot can be found on the internet (first page on google after searching "atf jtag nokia")
Was wondering if anyone had a ATF JTAG box and would be willing to fix my lumia for a fee.

Hard Bricked LG LS775. Any Solutions ?

I was trying to unlock with gc pro key with sprint unlock to work with gsm carriers and it didnt work for me. So i tried a different formula which i flashed a firmware "ZV3" on Z3X Box and i was running on ZV5. Now the phone doesnt turn on and when connected to computer the usb driver says "Qualcomm Usb USB QDLoader 9008. Any solutions will be highly appreciated and would save me on having to buy a customer a new phone.
First lesson.. don't downgrade any lg latest phones, 2nd dont use boxes too flash it, use lgup so you can get warning of laf downgrade. 3rd search medusa or z3x jtag if they support jtag, or if you smart enough too find pinoits on board for jtag.

dear sr. i have zv5 and zv7 rom dumps of this phone, thing is that partitions are not the same in both versions, so you need to know which one you had on your device, if you know to flash this with sd card i'll provide both software versions for free, as long as you are willing to share the "flashing with sd" tutorial, if it actually works of course. by the way, both versions were dumped with z3x.
