Calm down friend. Getting stock back is easy, however, if you want to keep your apps and data and other information make a backup using TITANIUM BACKUP, so if you go back to stock and reroot you can reacquire your apps and info.
But here, use this
http://androidspin.com/2010/08/09/how-to-restore-or-recover-your-samsung-vibrant/
Follow the directions VERY VERY Carefully.

for warranty you do not need to update. I would do a factory reset and ship it like that

You can flash the RUU and it "Should" look like it hasn't been touched, but hell even if you install any 2.1 based sense rom like Ivans Eris_Official it should look good. best bet would be the 2.1 RUU which you can download here

Q:what does vibrant stock look like?

i have to send my vibrant back to tmobile because it wont charge. i already odin it back to stock. but the question is what does stock look like? ive had it rooted since day one and i forgot lol. it has the sims and avatar and all that fun stuff on there but i just want to double check before i send it back. so far its 2.1 the build name is eclair. i cant remember the rest because the battery died. i used whatever stock was on aio vibrant toolbox i think also its T959UVJFD. . should i be safe? if someone can post a snapshot for me that would be great thanks i looked on the forums for stock pictures and cant find it ><.
Yes, that is all you need.
cool thank you i was just worried about the hefty fee they give you if they catch you sending it back rooted
Tell them you don't know what happened that samsung kies update killed it. Even if you send it in with a custom ROM still installed, DENY, DENY, DENY! Thats what I did I think samsung kies updates have killed soo many phones to date that they don't even question it anymore. You say "samsung kies" they say "we will send you a replacement sir"LOL, end of story.

if you have any doubts, After Odin, hook it up to Kies Mini and update to 2.2 and then format the Internal SD, they will never know.
last quick question. ok my original vibrant which i odin it back to stock heres the info
model number:SGHT959
firmware version:2.1-update1
baseband version:t959uvjfd
kernal version:2.6.29
build number:eclair
while that is that the new vibrant i have has this info in it
same model number
same firmware
baseband version:t959uvji6
kernal:same
build number:eclair.uvji6
now should i have to worry about anything? is mine just basic stock? or should i look for a different stock to odin it with?
Nope ur good dood. ji6 is just an update. both are stock.

Un-Root Samsung Galaxy S2? Can this be done please?

Hi all,
Not sure whether to root or not, as I fear for my warranty :/ does it affect warranty ? and can it be reversed?
Thanks
James
Just want to know if it can be easily reversed please
Also what are the main advantages and disadvantages ? ...
I wanna remove some samsung apps, install droidwall and install LCD Density
Root can be reversed, and we can reset the flash count for unsigned kernels too
So yeah it should be undoable fine by flashing a stock rom and resetting download counter.
How do you go about removing a root? And is data lost?
You could re-flash back to the stock rom....but that will erase your data.
does the stock rom also update the kernel back to a secure one??
Sorry to bump this old thread but can Samsung or others detect if the phone has been rooted and then unrooted it it were for example to sent back for repair under warranty?

No it doesn't if you flash it properly.

No if you reset the counter and flash the stock firmware for the device.
Thanks, I purchase one of those jigs just in case The amount of tegra only games coming out is beginning to bug me, I'm hoping the possibility that the two best selling android phones of the year (Galaxy S2 and Sensation) not being tegra will swing developers back our direction.

can you link me to where you purchased your jig? Also have u tried to see if the jig works? or you havent rooted your phone yet?
Would it be possible to unroot just using Superoneclick?
I tried once and it worked. However, does it completely remove all traces of root?

I am a newbie as well here but I thought I will share my experience.
I did have a bootloop and someone in the forum advised me to clear the cache and data using recovery mode. It worked.
give it a try

the easiest and safer method to unroot is to flash the stock kernal

Hi there, Forgive me if there is a thread already for this. But I have a T-Mobile UK Motorola Atrix and i want to reinstall the firmware that came with the phone. Thanks Adam

This is SBF file which will get your mobile to stock and also will lock your bootloader (it's not going to be locked again but it will remove "unlocked" from top left corner).
In order to use sbf files you need to download RDS lite and have moto drivers installed. (If you are already unlocked then you will have all this tools)
This is link to original thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125944
REMEMBER this is an SBF file and it's not the safest way to go back to stock (but the best) and can brick your mobile if your pc is going to stop working/freeze/resboot while applying sbf...
Hope this help
P.S I did go back to stock this way and gave my phone for warranty without any problems.
I have a nandroid backup of my setup (2.2) would you like me to upload it?

This will only get you back to stock but you still will have "unlocked" on the top left corner. Just FYI
Thankyou
Thankyou for all your help I have the T-Mobile stock rom back on it now. I had to do a hard reset to make it work though. Just a note to anyone thinking of doing this. Does anyone know how to make the Atrix boot faster? It takes ages on the t-mobile screen. I have rooted it and was thinking of Freezing some parts of the OS but im a bit worried incase it messes up

i wouldnt bother, youd see a much bigger difference if you were using cm7 over one of the bloated moto roms boots super fast after first boot

I know this is a 4 months old threat.. but i need to send my at&t atrix to warranty and I have done anything possible on it..
Android version 2.3.6 and 4.5.141.. so I just have to flash .sfb file using RSD lite..? I've been reading and I don't want to hardbrick my phone..
I wanna make sure to do exactly what I have to.. if it got bricked well wtf but at least I did what I should..!!
Thks
t mobile
i have the t mobile uk 2.3.4 sbf save on pc
I really need the t-mobile uk sbf. How can I get it from you Ashley, can you upload it somewhere? thanks
did you ever upload the stock sbf file in the end because im looking for it aswell and all the links i find are dead :-s
Any help would be great
Hi, Can someone please re-upload the SBF from the start of this thread, I need to remove the unlocked and back to stock.
Thanks
I'll try and do it later this evening, check Sam Cripps Atrix Reboot Project thread at the top of this section, that's where I'll put it.
Done, it`s here http://samcripp.com/files/. I haven`t ever flashed this myself, but it`s straight from moto thro their updater SW so should be intact. I`m sure you`re aware there may be risks involved flashing an SBF, that said, enjoy!
Thanks.

You can find the correct files here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1319802
You should reflash stock, then flash passion.

It's good that your phone is working again, but you need to be very careful using kies: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1517406
If you're modding / flashing custom roms, It's really best to avoid kies. If you'd had a GB bootloader when you used kies your phone might be bricked now.
