I'd like to port WiMo 6.5 to the Meizu M8 which has Win CE 6.0, so I was wondering if we could easily port WiMo 6 to it? And event WiMo 7? as all the drivers for win CE work yet...
I don't think you can make Windows Mobile 6 (or 6.1 or 6.5) run on it since Windows Mobile 6.x uses a Windows CE 5.2.x kernel (someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this), but I'm not sure about Windows Mobile 7.
And do you know if porting WinCE 6 to WinCE 5.2 or WinCE 7 would be easy if we only have the drivers as binaries?
Or is there any way to run WiMO 6.x on WinCE 6?

Could we all cook win ce 5 (not wm6) on prophet???
I know that wm6 or wm5 is based on win ce 5 but I was wondering if we could combine win ce 5 with prophet drivers and enable GSM on win ce 5. Personaly win ce 5 looks so nice on phones and i bet that it is faster because it has much much more simpl graphics... And if u just look at the desktop on the win ce 5, wm6&5 makes me cry... and yessss... There is solution using wisbardeluxe desktop(or somthing, can remember...) but it eats too much of RAM and MHZ and it isnt shurely that.......
i just find WM5 builds are a little bit more stable than all WM6 or WM6.1 builds, espeically the comm manager .... hmmm
But WM6.1 is definately faster than WM5
My phone always hang when I turn on my wifi ... it happens in ALL WM6 rom ... dunno why ....

i mean lack of desktop usability realy makes me ***-+-/...... Is there any tweak in win mobile os to remowe "regular mobile desktop" and change it with "icons able desktop"... you know what i mean...

Windows CE on Windows Mobile Devices
As far as i know, Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.5 is a derivate of Windows CE 5.0, and from Windows CE 6.0 shall come Windows Mobile 7, which means, Microsoft (or any other vendor) should make its own (mobile) platform based on the operating system Windows CE 6.0.
Mobile platform means in this case, that the kernel itself is the same, operating system features (GWES, device driver architecture (the common part)), some application like cabinstall, solitaire,..) are the same, but the rest of it can be enhanched or exchanged with extra features, like mobile capability (phone, sms), or specific drivers for displays, bluetooth, wlan, and so on...
Does a modified windows 6.5 exist for Android and more specifically a ROM that could be applied to the note?
Short answer: no.
Long answer: on certain hardware you can dual boot android and wm 6.5 (e.g.: HTC HD2), but this is not currently possible on the Note.
WM 6.5 is not supported by Microsoft anymore
Even Windows phons don't support 6.5 anymore. Move on.
