[Q] Run a .jar in android? - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know this isn't a specific vibrant question, but I couldn't find the android section on the phone.
A buddy of mine wants to buy something like the xoom (an android tablet) and is wondering if he can play a game he plays called megamek. It runs in java, and the file is a .jar. I read about it a little and came across an app called jm2e, but it's no longer on the market.
Thanks for any answers

Does anyone know who the developer of the DOSBox port to android? I need to contact him to ask a question.
I installed aDOSBox on my android 2.3.4 rooted phone (LG Optimus q) and it installed fine. I then mounted the program folder I wanted but as soon as I run the program sDOSBox crashes. Funny thing is that on my Windows 7 laptop where I have DOSBox installed the identical program runs just fine. So, I need to find out how to trouble shoot the android port to make it work on my phone too. I think the crash is possibly a display resolution problem but do not know how to change that.
Any help appreciated.

I've been wondering about this too. He was still working on some fixes for things like gameboid as of last month, but I can't find it anywhere now.
Is there an app out there that can emulate multiple consoles?
Like, why can't yongzh just make one app emulate them all? Just make one app that pulls up each separate emulator. Or something.

Android General Question

Hi, I'd like if someone can explain to me why android apps never open Web links within the app instead of always redirecting you to the browser like iOS and I never noticed this before but I'm currently using an iPhone along side my Galaxy S3 since I'm in the Caribbean and I just think the iOS way makes more sense especially for apps like cracked and Facebook.... Thoughts?

Because the android apps in question do not have a web browser within them, at least not in the sense of a traditional browser. I can't attest to how iOS works as I have too many qualms with apple to use their products, but I would assume many of their apps also launch a browser for web content, and if they don't its due to integration of a browser within the app.

Hey sorry I'm just noticing the reply and all I'm looking for is a discussion of some sort but a bit of an update I just used the CNN app on my Galaxy and it as in opened links pertaining to the app within itself such as unlocking the live TV and I just think more android apps should do it and also you might be familiar with flip board and how not handles links that's what I mean
