Is that what you are looking for? You can always flash an root it yourself. There is a one button tool.

Im not sure if thats the way i need to go....i am curantly running axura 2.2.5.9 and everything is opperating fine but i, at this time still like the orig system and just want to flash back to it the way i fashed to axura.....please do forgive my lack of knowledge for i am still in the learning stage but not the scared stage ;-)

You will more thank likely have to go back to true stock using Odin. I do not think there are any roms that include root access with them. Root acess is what allows you to flash a rom as well as gain super user access to the device.
Here is a link to a true stock 2.1 rom, Flashable via odin only. http://www.mediafire.com/?8kw71bx06an0vwg

Ok thanks guys I tried to restore to my back up but it soft bricked I guess.... kept looping in boot up.....but before I did anything I download nero3...so went into recovery mode and load that and WOW! I love it....same feel as original rom so far as I can tell but with 2.2 and some sweet changes

[Q] Back to Stock and UNROOT Vibrant

Hi guys I wanted to get my Vibrant from custom rom n rooted to stock rom and unrooted
i read bunch of thread including the [ROM] OFFICIAL T-Mo Vibrant JFD ODIN/Nandroid Backup Images 7/29/10 (Tested/Working)
but i can't figure out which is the right method i need to use...
i didn't use Odin, i used OneclickRoot and Rom manager to install clockwork recovery and the custom rom (nerov3)
so can anyone give me a step by step process to how to proceed w/ the back to stock
i would really appreciate it
thanks
Just read up on the ODIN.. when you go back to stock, you'll be unrooted automatically
Here the link with tutorial.

I just want to say Thank you for the link you provided. Most posts replying to questions are the usual "just do a little searching ..." and no one ever provides a starting point.
I've spent a lot of time "searching" and running into conflicting information or information pertaining to a completely different issue.
So again, Thank you for the link. It made this post simple.
[EDIT] I almost forgot to ask jimprime, why are you wanting to go back to stock and unrooted ?
I have not yet rooted, but have noticed a lot of people are looking at going back to stock and I am curious. Why root in the first place?
well first its not really my phone second i just wanted to try out froyo on the vibrant didn't c much difference and i didn't really find it that much faster than the stock and i switch back to stock
yea this helps out alot

[Q] Anyone having trouble rooting after the update?

Hey, I just updated over Kies (which worked perfectly BTW) and now I'm trying to root but for some reason it fails to do so. Has this happened to anyone else?
No problems. Look up.oneclickroot
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I went fine for me using oneclick.
Can someone link to the one click root for me please?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I don't think you can root the update, something to do with the 3e recovery I think. There is a way to mod the 3e recovery to allow for root, there are directions somewhere in one of the threads.
I just install one of the pre-rooted ones in the dev section, the hardwork was done thanks to the nice devs.
My girlfriend has a stock vibrant and wants the news and weather widget but it doesn't come in the 2.2 update so I need to install it but can't without root. At least I don't think I can. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Might be device dependent - I ended up Odining back to stock and starting over with a rooted flash because it would not pass sig check for me no matter what after the kies update.
Use freaking one click root...
Do a google search on that and you'll find a link on xda..
Have u heard of google?
With One-Click Root I'm getting "E:signature verification failed". Anybody have any ideas on how to get around this?
Just ODIN Supercurios KA6 voodoo kernel with root & cwm in it already
Really think I don't know how to root? Come on.
It is not working for some of those who ended up with the .sbl. Odin out, and flash a rooted version if you are one of those who can't beat the sig check.

will my vibrant update?

hello guys i am not an expert.
to be short , here are my questions.
my phone is rooted and miuimodel T959
android version 2.3.7
baseband T959UVKA7
kernel version is
2.6.35.12-gdf10700
build MIUI-111180
i had updated this version from my rooted and miui froyo version.
actually my vibrant was not entering into download mode so i used rom tool box.
first i downloaded the verion and then copied it to the sd card , and then ran it through ROM TOOLBOX. and wow my phone got updated to gingerbread.
now i have downloaded ICS_NBv8 build3.zip
can i run the file the same way as i did previously or do i have to take any other precuations?
please suggest and help
i dont understang the CM7 and all that stuff.
I go into recovery so I'm not sure about your method but what I can say is..... you're trying to install ics passion right? There's a version 10 out so go download that and install it. It'll most likely be better then the version you're trying to install
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk
thanks for the quick reply , but could you please send me the link for downloading verion 10.?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362961
Scroll down and you'll find it.

Read
Sent from a cell tower to the XDA server to you.
Please read everything very carefully...also for passion ICS (since V.8) you need gingerbread bootloader...
please read the installation process several tomes if you are not sure ask, or don't flash at all...you might brick your phone otherwise!

So, you've been a member for almost 4 years, and you don't know how to flash through recovery, OR how to search a forum for a rom?
Take phone
Place in blender
Hit liquefy
Go get mom and dad to buy you an iPhone so you dont hurt yourself.

Yes there is a way, just in case you don't have it here we go . If you don't have clockwork mod recovery installed use your phone to download the cwr update.zip in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849028 .Scroll down and look for directions on how to install cwr. Use a file manager app called " Astro " to put the file on your internal sd. Once you have recovery mode installed you can simply use your phone to download a custom 2.2 ROM and flash it through recovery mode (there will be directions on how to flash this in the thread) , just be sure to READ everything before flashing. This is probably the most popular 2.2 ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441976 , you can search for others if you wish. This will pretty much void your warranty so if that's a problem then your probably stuck with 2.1 until you get your usb port fixed. Here is the closest Stock 2.2 ROM you will find if that's what your looking for http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674519

Thats like digging into a graveyard! My best advice is too keep looking for it. It's bound to there. Try to Google "how to root vibrant 2.1"

This is the update.zip that I use.

You can also try ROM Manager and install the recovery from there. Good luck!

yes... you can get an update.zip from http://dl.dropbox.com/u/59531727/Clockwork Recovery/Update.zip taken from Woodrube's Signature.
FYI DONT use KIES. It may Hard Brick your device. Place this update.zip in the root of internal SD (NOT inside a folder). You will have to do reinstall packages twice to get it to CWM maybe.
There are many good 2.2 ROMs like Moped's Ryders ROM and Fishman's.

I can't help but to notice that your signature says MB855. Since you are using a Photon, are you doing this modding for a friend's phone? If so and that person is not the "technical" sort, I suggest you leave them on 2.2 for now.
ICS ROMs are well beyond what you would think since we have no official ROM from Samsung for our devices, however they are not without dangers and pitfalls. There is a bug that is hitting Vibrants, Captivates, I-9000's, a few Asus Transformers (tf101)-in fact someone got hit with it yesterday. It is called the Encryption UnSuccessful bug and it will render the Internal_sd useless and you will have to hack your External_sd to run ANY ROM. Other than that and the fact that the Vibrant has crappy GPS (sans hardware fix), ICS ROMs are spectacular, especially since very few phones are running ICS at all, let alone 4.0.4.
I suggest you read about the EU bug but my pick for the best daily driver ICS ROM is by far ICZen with SubZero kernel. You can find it here but check out the dev section too.

Hey everyone, so my Dinc2 went to sht and I need to know is there any way to root my GF old fascy? I have has no luck finding the fresh links/if any.
All I find point to mega, and as we all know that's dead.
This phone has huge potential off stock, and I want to set it free.
Your help is appreciated.
Try droidstyle's guide. I'm on BAKED blackbean 8 (4.2.2) and it's just plain amazing.

You can't go wrong with most of the roms in the development section but I'd recommend trying CM10.1 first (found here: http://get.cm/?device=fascinatemtd) as it's the most consistent rom for the fascinate I've used

Lol that's the one I found, right after posting. So far I'm rooted however the steps to get to jb are not exactly working. Question 2 if im already stock couldnt I just install clockwork and flash a rom through it?

Well... section 6 deals with rooting from stock so that you can continue on...
That guide has all the answers...
Droidstyle did a through job
Flashing to 4.2 rom
If you want to take an easier jump into 4.2 rather than going through all the crap. Check out VegasRomeos shortcut Here. It works great and is simple.

this is where I have issues, I'm thinking my rom zip is corrupt, it starts to flash then goes though a boot loop, and opens twrp, I never even flashed twrp. Im afk for the time, but I will make another attempt in the am with a new rom zip.
Thanks guys for the help.
